  1. The ghost, Parmo and two new reserves, I'm guessing (and going by the rumours) Lawlor and Phillips. Ps Hope Nathan gets fixed up...
  2. So... In a nutshell... What are ye saying...
  3. So Wright Riss Stewart Andersen = 28.36 then leaving 12.64 for final 3 riders. Ulrich 5.98. Grieves 4.51 Phillips 2.17 Bacon 5.07 Grieves 4.51 Bowtell 3 Starke 6.32 Bukhave 4 Phillips 2.17 Kurtz bjerre etc etc
  4. Riss. Wright. Stewart. Andersen. (28.6) leaves 12.4 got final three. Grieves. With Josh McDonald and Kyle Bickley in at reserve. Or Riss. Wright. Stewart. Andersen 28.6 Barker 7.24 Ryan kinsley 3.17 twopointer Or Palm Toft 8.18 2 X twopointers Or Ulrich Bickley twopointer.
  5. If Newcastle are out then Plymouth will move up otherwise the North/South devide wont work.
  6. 12 teams. would have been perfect to re-introduce the fours qualifiers. three groups of 4 with each winner to the final plus the best runner up. Missed a trick I think.
  7. I thought Jordy might have been heading to Glasgow after they tried last season so well pleased he's staying. And Riss ….. Get in
  8. I have a feeling the Bears will have 7 riders returning
  9. The commentators were saying on TV last night that the Lions v Bears on Saturday has been brought forward an hour, but I haven't seen it anywhere else? edit... Just seen it on Bears website..... 6.30 start time.
  10. Still lap two though. Wasn't there, but following the updates I thought it strange to give a 1-5 on second lap. Was Stewart that far behind the Lions pair?
  11. I hope we can look in Sheffields direction if we need a guest for Grieves.
  12. I would say that Redcar's crowds haven't change with the swap, infact I'd guess they are up, but that could be down to the better league position.
  13. If Toft is out (I hope he isn't) and the Bears go for R/R, would it make a difference to use Allen as a guest for Toft instead of Wright? Or would it make no difference. Allen could cover for either.
  14. That would be heat 14 where Tom gated and was mixing it with Kurtz when Jordan was ahead. Kurtz gated in the re-run and won.
  15. Not true, Tom was easily beating all those riders when they fell, deserved and earned every point. TBO I'm glad hr's staying, you cant ask more from a rider than giving their all and watching him improve week after week is what its all about.
  16. True, the club already knew, but I just think its a silly rule overall where a rider riding in Sweden, Denmark or Poland can be covered, but not any other county. Its the only meeting Riss will miss, so in the long run he was well worth signing. Its going to make tomorrow very interesting, but the pressure is on Scunny, who don't want to loose to a four man team. Bring it on
  17. I'm going to buy 2 extra 50-50 tickets as I don't think its the clubs fault.
  18. Do the semi's line up as written in order on the bspa website... Edinburgh v Newcastle. Eastbourne v Redcar, or is there a draw or something?
  19. Great meeting when it got going after the first few shared heats. Heat 8 I think the ref got right, Drew had done all the hard work in passing Tom on turn 2, but then he bounced off the wall going into turn 3 and was all over the shop when Tom went for the gap he left and Drew fell. Special mention to Jack Smith who is picking up important points and is fantastic out the gate. When he builds his speed up he will be top notch at reserve.
  20. Looking forward to tonight. Track should be spot on with the rain this week and fine today.
  21. 1 Michael Palm-Toft 2 Tom Bacon 3 Ben Barker 4 Jordan Stewart 5 Charles Wright 6 Jack Smith 7 Nathan Greaves Just wondering how the team might line up. I think Ben and Jordan should pair up after riding together last season. The same with PMT and Tom. I'd put Nathan at 7, the strongest reserve with the easier heats.
  22. Those three teams are most peoples predictions for topping the league anyway, so what,s your problem. Maybe you wanted a 45 point average where those teams could have squeezed in the likes of Hans Andersen etc with two 5 point foreigners at reserve.
  23. Quote from the Bears promoter... Whether you agree with the 38 points limit or not, it will do exactly what it was intended to do and that is to reset the balance between all 3 leagues and give the younger British riders a ladder on which to climb in the sport. Contrary to what some may tell you, my main motivation to support this limit at he AGM wasnt financial, but to develop new British talent. When all teams have been declared, take a look at the reserve berths in the Championship and you will see lots of young riders being given a shot as a direct result. British speedway will benefit in the long run from this new crop of riders getting their chance.Read more: http://bears-talk.proboards.com/thread/3403/2019?page=10#ixzz5ZlUfN5Og
  24. Most speedway fans would know that isn't the full story, esp' on a debut.
