Id be more happy with Max back. Wilko can hold his own at second string and Dyer and Max make a great reserve combo.

Theres an "if" in there and it isnt Redcar where the problem lies. Lets hope a solution can be found.

I think the last quarter of the season Kus was flying, home and away. He also turned up at some meetings where others said he wouldnt. On his average I'd have him back.

Proctor?

Or maybe home and away meetings with Redcar v Bradford

A well meaning thread and question. Taken to the extreme that something serious might have happened, then to the total opposite of a fishing contest. You have either lost the plot or are totally sick.

Just out of interest, what were the crowds like in 2011 compared to previous seasons in the Elite league? -
If the league does away with the current split system next year, would people want the return of an old favorite... the Four team tournament qualifiers as a filling for fixtures. If the league keeps to 16 teams then I think we are waisting a perfect oppertunity to bring them back. 4 groups of 4 (probably regional) with the top 2 from each group into the final. I put my vote in as YES as its a nice break from league fixtures and brings something different to the table.

Reading through the "predictions" thread it went "off-topic" to football and Scotland and a question arose... Could Scotland have a team in the "speedway" world-cup. Who would be in the team and how far could they go.? Just a winter poser. (I kept it in the premier section because im sure all the team would come from that league)..

PMSL... .......really Dont you have to be "in it to win it" Im sorry but I cant take any post seriously from a person who has swapped teams because his side "Newport" have struggled over the seasons (though not this season, but is it to embarrasing to go back to the Newport avatar now they are doing OK). What colours will you be sporting next season if "the Bees" are struggling.....Wolves, Birmingham etc ? -

Static, as in average for any other meeting, Maybe they were a bit higher as you say with 3 sets of visiting fans. They certainly wer'nt down on average as far as I remember, but im going back to the days of the Middlesbrough Bears. So next year (going by 17 teams), 3 groups of four and 1 of five. A lot of meetings to fit in, but only 1 at home. Maybe the riders should be asked as its their income and im sure the more meetings the more wages. I did say before somewhere that they should go back to 4 in the final, but now I see why they have 8 ... More teams = more supporters = more revenue. With 2 teams from each "regional" group going through then im sure the cream would rise to the top. And if it didnt then ... every sport has its shocks. Whatever happens rules should be made clear before the season starts, so if a team has injury's, change of personel etc, then if its down on paper then there would be no complaints. Unlike this year where rules for the 4's and pairs seem to have changed weekly. -
A lot of posts on a thread about an event that holds little interest for you. I havent slagged JC off, and I dont agree with some of the personal comments about him on here, and there are some things he has got right. But I still think JC has got it wrong with the 4's. That Redcar should be in it. That some teams should'nt be in it. That If JC has made the decisions himself, then Im blaming him. That if JC and a group made the decisions then where is the "we". That I dont think this is a very strong competition now some teams havent entered strong teams. That I expect some fans wont go to see "their" team, because they have put out a weak side. That not many (if any) Elite league supporters will go to see this event. That not many (if any) neutral supporters will go to this event. At the time of the original running of this competition, no Redcar fans whinged that we had been dropped because we had a weak team. Im sure supporters of other teams wouldnt whinge if their team was dropped in the same way now "if" they have a weak team. Ok those supporters that hold tickets for the competition would want their money back, and im sure most would rather have their money back than have to travel again and watch their side struggle with reserves in their side. If that happened and Redcar (or any other team with a fully fit top 4) entered, the attendance would be higher with those new supporters, and supporters from EL and neutrals would go to see a competition that had strong teams. Just my opinion. Thanks to the supporters who have shown a concern reguarding my teams disapointment for not been there. To the KL supporters, I can understand you backing JC, but I havent seen you post any evidence to say that he is right, only smug comments. Everyone knows "if it was your team, you would do the same".

Review Of Super7even So Far

Thats the bit I dont understand. Ive never seen or heard anyone saying they dont want to go to a 4's qualifier. I always used to think they were great, and used to look forward to the 4's as a break-away from the tread-mill of endless league matches mid season. Why would they be hard to fund?. Im sure crowds everywhere would be static on their average attendances, they always used to be -

Hoping that it rains, isnt going to make it rain now is it. the statement "I hope it rains" (and ive said it myself) is just peoples anger coming out for feeling they have been hard done by and the weather forecast . -

As a fan of a number of sports, ive admired the way Darts has grown over tha last few years. How I have wanted speedway to grow in the same way and wished for someone to grab the sport, shake it up, and get people back through the turnstiles. If Chapman does the same for my favorite sport then . However I still think he has got it wrong with the 4's. Ive said my bit about Redcar on another thread so I aint gonna go over old ground. However the line-up I have seen so far I think is very poor, Im sure there are some fans who WONT be going for this reason even if their team and riders are in it. I cant see many neutrals going for the same reason. I also dont buy the (a lot of fans supporting the 8 teams were there, they had paid for their fuel, entrance and probably bought a programme so I decided to keep the same line up) statement either. Im fully behind Mr Chapman and his vision of speedway. But people want to see the best. The 4's is a mixture of many riders, I admire every rider for what he does, but not all at Peterborough will be the best. -
So Workington line up with 2 reserves. What was wrong with Redcar adding a reserve to the original line-up... James Grieves Robbie Kessler Daniel Giffard Josh Auty The rules have bent and changed in everyway possible to make sure Redcar never rode in this competition. If Kessler wasnt aloud to ride for Redcar then how come the rules changed for Watson in the pairs. If a team has to field a strong 4 then how come Workington (and a few others) due to ride aint dropped and a fully fit original Redcar added. Workington also have a rider who wont be there, not because he is injured, but because he has other commitments. Why shold a team be entered that aint commited to the cause. I cant wait to see who has who riding in this competition. Rye certainly wont have a strong "original" 4 there. 4 stongest riders in each team or you are dropped.... My arse Original riders in a team...My arse I just cant see "going by the reasons that Redcar aint there" that other teams are. I hope it P*sses down

If I was the BOSS. I'd do away with myself and my fellow panel having to shoot ourselves in the foot by putting on ourselves the option of having to choose or take away teams from a sporting tournament. The premier league (or national league) has never had an easy 16 teams to run qualifers, but we always had them. This season 3 groups of 5 would have worked, it would just have meant an extra 4 races to each meeting to fit 5 teams in. The top 3 teams and the best runners up to the final. 4 teams in a final not 8. Keep it simple. Its only one extra meeting a season for each team to fit in (at home) ....see easy. The 4's qualifers were always something fresh and different to look forward to, to break up the endless league meetings (not that I'm complaning with league meetings). The 4's isnt the same as the Prem trophy as its totally different format. Looking to next season there will (at a guess) be 17 teams so 3 groups of 4 and one of 5... (Or 4 x 4 and drop Newcastle ) easy-peasy. If you are going to have a tournament and a final, let the sport decide who gets to that final, not have some bloke deciding who gets in and who does'nt. Thats why this season has been a shambles and has given fans a reason to complain. If we had qualifiers and my team didnt qualify for whatever reason, then so be it. End of story. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. Anyway, as those above have made this competition what it is, for this season. Then I'm going to carry on and say... Redcar have been robbed.

So I take it from that, that you are right and everyone who has a different opinion is wrong. This is a SPEEDWAY FORUM, and the 4's is a topical debate. Im sorry crikey, but you are NOT in the chair on this one...... FREE THE REDCAR FOUR... stick that in your pipe and smoke it. If you do think you are the high and mighty big-wig sat at the front in your chair dishing out your opinion on fellow bored stiff minors. Then I would be the one at the back firing a pea-shooter at you and blowing raspberries
