Oxford vs King’s Lynn - Thurs April 25th
Pumpy replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
I don’t think it will be a battering . I suspect a keenly fought match and it depends on well well a couple of the Lynn riders go . Basso rides Oxford well , as does Iversen ( if fit ). Tarrasenko did well for Glasgow last year , mother than that , unknown . be good to see Magic hit double figures , get some confidence back -
A fantastic evening of speedway . Great crowd great racing , shame Oxford dipped at the very end . Hope Lewi Kerr is ok though . He was going well . Never gets much luck
-
Looking forward to this one . Weather looking Ok and it will be a tough test .

Birmingham v Oxford Mon 1st April PL

Interesting because Worrall was awesome at Oxford for much of meeting -
Some people want blood. Tigers ran Oxford close , drew at Brum and did ok in first leg at BV. That’s a decent start in my book

Birmingham v Oxford Mon 1st April PL

I think Brum have started better than many predicted . When team is fully settled they could do ok at home . Sad to see some fans !!! In here slagging them off already . Give the team a chance -
Brum showed plenty of fight at Oxford in tricky conditions. Wirral and Nichols were excellent and Cook when in front will take some Catching . You will do better than some are predicting

Ordered my ultimate pass 10 days ago and it arrived at weekend …
-
Come on Brummie fans , give the promoter a break . You still have a club , the team will be competitive and entertaining . To be fair Tolly never said he was talking to Zmarali k , only said it wouldn’t frighten him off . Other fans have got carried away with names on here . He has done well and the team will be good to watch
-
Good post . Agree too much negativity . Let the management do the job and comment when team is complete
-
All this worry … last year Ipswich didn’t finalise until about 2 weeks before
-
Must admit , I support the new rules for the NDL and excluding some better riders , but it does seem bonkers that some talented riders are left without a place . Some fine tuning needed I think
-
The ultimate pass offers great value if you intend to go Most weeks . Even allowing you miss a couple
-
I waited about 4/5 weeks for season ticket last year , so don’t panic , it will arrive

I used participate on this forum a lot a few years ago but reading some of this vicious and childish backbiting makes me realise why I stopped . Surely we can disagree on things about the sport we love without all this bickering ?
-
It’s a sad reflection on the modern sport these days , so much engine tuning etc . I remember Colin Goody turning up with a battered old bike in the back of his ford anglia , and he still won races , including beating Mauger at his peak . Track craft counted for more then
-
It sure how you worK out that Oxford are Horrific ?? They look solid right through. They may not have a powerhouse top two , but as we saw this season , that won’t win the title for you . Lady will play a big part in any teams success or failure
-
Have to say as a Cheetahs fan , I think Poole are Looking strong for 24. Hagon will do a decent job for you and you . I wouldn’t worry too much. Both Poole and Oxford looking good. Still teams to Declare yet but should be an exciting season and the new limit has certainly allowed space for the youngsters to come in
-
Really like look of Oxford team , solid . The Ipswich top pair are scary, but two great riders don’t win matches alone. If Brum can get a decent. No1 , should be a great season all round
-
All this worry before team is fully announced . Give them a chance . Also. We don’t know how the poles will perform . nobody rated Tarrasenko yet he turned out pretty good at Pererborough. Let’s wait and see . For the sake of the sport , Birmingham need a competitive team
-
I don’t see the issue with the name. We went 14 years without speedway , why get stressed over its name . Great we have so much Speedway in 24.
-
It’s an unusual name but we will get used to it . End of the day need to remember it’s three very separate teams so can’t name them Cheetahs 2 or whatever . Nicknames don’t matter it’s all about Oxford isn’t it ?
-
Sam woods in place of Luke for Weds . Should be a close meeting but think Chargers have the fire power to nick it in the end
-
Was very impressed with Jason Edwards when Bears were at Oxford recently . Rode very well and scored good points . Has a bright future I think but at this age will always have the odd poor meeting, and it was against a very strong Poole team
