Ian....Poland this year have twice cancelled matches on the Wednesday before the Sunday due to a weather forecast........I think you are being unfair to promoters..especially Eastbourne......If the forecast was scattered showers etc then they would try and get the meeting on no doubts....However the forecast all week has been bad for Thursday,Friday and Saturday....Thunder Storms...prolonged rain...high winds......Think how many people work at a Speedway Track on race night....How many people have to be told of a rain off.....I sometimes think you would be better off talking to a promoter and finding out just how difficult it is......Bit like track shops...Not quite as easy as you think

Looking out of the window it has been a magnificent decision by Peterboro and Ipswich....Saved lots of peoples time and money....

Why do they have to rearrange meetings around those clubs...when none ride on a Monday or Thursday ????

It is weird ,we put Polish Speedway on a pedastal as the best in the world.....and yet quite often this year they have postponed fixtures 3 or 4 days before hand because of the weather forecasts.....This country does it and we are unprofessional.......strange

Just a heads up...We have Leicester Lions Onesies and Bucket Hats coming in the next couple of weeks :-)...Also re-ordered a few Champions bits for those who missed them last year

Did you count how many people had the up to date Lions 2021 Shirts on,,,,,,Or maybe Baseball Caps...Time moves on my friend.....We had the Champions merchandise for Xmas 2019....It is now August 2021....Time waits for no man.......I have just been on the Manchester City 2021/22 Merchandise Page.......As yet i have found nothing commemorating being Premier Champions 2020/21...says it all really

Iain....With all due respect we are trying to get away from the cheap and tacky merchandise of years gone by......If i purchased 25 t-shirts at £16.02 that would cost me £400.50.......at say £18 to sell ....i would then have to sell 22 to break even......If a club did that and had 15 left over at the end of the season you can see it would not take long before debts are built up,something in this climate Speedway tracks really do not need......I think you are running away with the fact clothing is a massive money maker.....I can assure you it is not......However if you wish to buy some machinery to do t-shirts and designs i will certainly order 10 or so of you :-)

The trouble is we are not printers......Most of those pictures are stock catalogue pics with the design super imposed.....Most people prefer screen printing rather than heat seal.....Many will sell you heat seal t-shirts in 1's and 2's.....However screen printed t-shirts are normally a minimum order of 50......5 years ago we ordered 3 different Speedway t-shirt and a HoODIE ...50 OF EACH.......3 years later we sold out....The t-shirts you are looking at are £16.02 each......If we purchased 25 how much would you suggest we sell them for ???

Like with everything a lot depends on minimum orders and price......We have had many generic Speedway Hoodies...Polo Shirts etc...However Speedway is very much a team event and similar to Football or Cricket...just generic clothing just does not sell

As i have said....Those companies doing there own merchandise....it would be interesting to know how many clubs actually have that stock on race days to feel and try on.....Maybe a Leicester fan who went to Eastbourne a couple of weeks ago could let us know what the Shop was like ??...At one time we did have 10 or so clubs we done merchandise for but had to make the decision to give them up because they were not financially viable

I think you would be amazed at sales......Speedway is not Football......If a club has a staple of 1000 people going every week......possibly 50 of those people may buy Merchandise......If there was huge money in Speedway Merchandise and 10,000 people every week i am pretty sure clubs would do there own merchandise

Iain....The club get a considerable rent every week.....They also get all teamwear for the club at cost price......They also dont have the problem of stuff left at the end of the year which has been paid for....We do 6 tracks around the country and have to stock them from scratch each year.....As you can imagine a lot of stuff is ordered in January for a March start of the season....Last year we had ordered all the stock for all 6 clubs when Covid struck....The internet sales did help but losing the Race night sales almost finished us......Thanks to the Government we just survived but it caused many sleepless nights.......I really wish making a living through Speedway Merchandise was as easy as you say :-)
