It can't be true surely. If it was the last meeting then what would be the point in holding this meeting. It would be like saying We are closing down but we will just have one more meeting for the hell of it. Also I guess the speedway authorities would know about it, Kings Lynn would definitely know about it (same owner) so why would they run a meeting when everyone would know that the results will be expunged

There can't of been too much wrong with the Peterborough track last Monday (27th) because all of the other 13 riders got stuck in and produced a very entertaining meeting. Therefore to me Nicki Pedersen's heart was never in it, or after that crash he thought "you know what I don't need this anymore".

That's not a good look just a few days before the season starts is it.

I was thinking this as I was reading through this thread, I thought it was going to be full of confident easy win for Ipswich predictions.

I see this is on the Premiership 2023 confirmed signings thread on this Forum.

I think it's a good team, Ben Basso, Jordan Jenkins, Ben Cook, and even Hans Andersen should all improve their averages. Then I also think that NKI and NP will be better overall than Bomber and MPT. Richie should hopefully prosper with the experienced riders around him, he also seemed quick at Peterborough as an away rider so should only improve when riding the track regularly. Does anyone know if Rob Lyon is the team manager this year.

Wow, the first definitive piece of evidence that Chris Holder isn't riding for the Panthers. That is one rider ruled out of the last two remaining places in the team.

I think that there should/might be an announcement this Thursday. That is what was eluded to on the "More Muzic Radio" station last Saturday 4th.

I agree with you, the racing is so much better at Peterborough, its almost a different sport compared to somewhere like Ipswich.

I have been going to Panthers for years, I went to every home meeting in 2021 & 2022. This year I made my mind up that I was going to treat myself to a season ticket, but now I find myself hesitant because of the lack of team news. Although I am very happy with the 3 riders that have been announced so far. One more good announcement and I will go for it I think.

I see there is No announcement yet(10.30am Sat) on social media. Normally on Twitter and Facebook by now.

I don't think there is any delays. They have said all along that they already have the 7 riders lined up but have chosen to announce a new rider each week. Personally I like it and it keeps up the interest through the winter.

I think it was drawn at the Speedway AGM and Panthers was the last name out of the seven clubs drawn out of the bag and therefore got a bye into the semi's.

Personally I really like the way Peterborough Panthers are doing this. Keeps the interest up through the winter.
