As Jason Doyle has decided to not ride in the uk this year, that can't be good for Ipswich or the Premiership. If anyone would be in the Know it would be him. He would definitely be in close contact with the current owners and any prospective new owners. The new owners would be desperate for him to ride, unless they told him that they couldn't afford him. -

Yes especially Belle Vue and Kings Lynn (although I wouldn't expect anything else from Buster) because at least them two clubs don't have any ownership issues to resolve and know they are running in 2026. -

I imagine that Leicester, Kings Lynn, and Belle Vue must be crapping themselves waiting for Sheffield and Ipswich to confirm if they are running in 2026 or not. Let alone hoping for a sixth team to rise from the ashes. -

The 6th team options for the premiership are slowly running out. Cradley Heath doesn't look nowhere near ready, Peterborough Panthers update yesterday pretty much ruled out a return to the Showground any time soon. Glasgow announced their full championship line up today. Then you have the Sheffield/ Ipswich problems to even get it up to 4 or 5 teams. So this probably just leaves only the Northampton/ Oxford rumours. So slowly running out of options. -

He also said, "we will definitely go ahead with the revealing as the AGM hold-up was to do with the premiership - the championship will go ahead as planned. We know what's happening and if it is decided that we go to one league, then the premiership will effectively come to us". -

He isn't on the bspl payroll. But he very much deserves to be, looks like he is doing far more to save speedway than the bspl are. He could potentially save their bacon. -

Yes I went to the Mildenhall vs Peterborough Panthers meeting on October 25th this year. It was a Nora meeting, I liked the format, especially the the way the last 3 heats are run. -

Yes true, I probably used the wrong terminology there. I'm sure they all pretty much have their teams sorted. -

In the meantime it looks like the Championship is business as usual. Fair play to them. Berwick Bandits, No signings Edinburgh Monarchs, Dan Thompson Glasgow Tigers, No signings Oxford Cheetas, No signings Plymouth Gladiators, Scott Nicholls, Danny King Poole Pirates, Richard Lawson, Will Cairns, Fraser Bowes Redcar bears, No signings Scunthorpe Scorpions, Josh Pickering, Ryan Ingram Workington Comets, Jonas Jeppesen, Tate Zischke -

Yes, putting the AGM back to Jan 6th seems like a very risky idea. Like you say most riders will want to be sorted with a team before then. I imagine Danish and Swedish clubs will be using this to their advantage and trying to entice riders who would otherwise have signed in the uk by now. -
I was there last night, only the fact that Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins had stepped down got mentioned at the beginning, then Ritchie and Danny King went on to say how sad they were etc. But definitely no revelations as to why it had happened. They were keeping very shtum about it.

So I'd be rather interested to know why Chris Louis and Ritchie Hawkins were not happy with the 2026 league structure. As described above by the BSPL chairman. -

I suppose Less Clubs = Less opportunities = Less new riders! -
Lots of people at lots of tracks use their own chairs, and some of them might even be season ticket holders. Lots of people use their own chairs at British Superbikes at top circuits like brands hatch. Lots of people even use their own chairs at a premium racetrack like Silverstone for the most premium sport of F1

Why, is it beyond the Wit of man to put up a fence and lay a track in winter.
-
If the landowner EoEAS allow them too, then yes. I guess there are on going discussions about that.

You don't absolutely have to have seating straight away. People can Stand or bring their own Camping chairs. People can sit or stand under the cover of the very large grandstand. Permanent Seats can be added over time.

I certainly got the impression he enjoyed his time at Peterborough. -
Inevitable means certain to happen. So why not announce it then. The other problem with that plan is the current 5 premiership teams will have their teams sorted and that only leaves the left overs for the 6th club. But that's absolutely fine with Ipswich,Belle Vue, and Sheffield & Co isn't it.

I think that Peterborough Panthers agree that the Championship is the best format. I've heard a prominent member of "Forever Panthers Ltd" state that the Championship is British Speedway's gem in the crown. It was also said if Panthers had Bomber in the team for example, he would charge them double In the Premiership than what he would in the Championship.
