  1. The reality currently is if a team had the money and the desire they could go to Poland and pick up multiple riders, riding in the Ekstraliga, League 1 and 2 and bring them all in on assessed 5's.
  2. With the chat all over the socials over the "fake average" that Taresenko is carrying, what would be the rule change to make it fairer? With the term Fake Averages, let's have a quick reality check. If Poole make it to the final then it's riders will have 55% of their competitive meetings scorings not count towards their GSA's. Edinburgh riders will have 26% of their meetings not count towards their GSA's.The rest of the Playoffs teams riders fill in the gaps between Edinburgh and Poole. Surely averages and assessed averages need to be reviewed to have an accurate account for the riders abilities not wether they have ridden in a certain country or not.
  3. They did match him with Claus and it wasn't too successful, in two now with RR he's going to be bagging the points.
  4. Good to see you switching to personal attacks As long as those monkeys have the qualifications to replace me, but unfortunately would take 6 years and 4 years at big person school to legally be able to replace me. But yep your right if they start now and pass everything they'll be good to go for 2033.
  5. 100% agree He was completely justified in having the opinion that he had been taken out unfairly and putting it across on the BSN interview. While watching the replay with Greg and saying "look he's just come F'ing through me and taken me out." To which Greg had to rapidly apologies and say it was down to adrenaline and then instead of apologizing reaffirmed his early statement with, "it's not the first time he's done it" doesn't help. The guy looks like an outstanding prospect and I'm sure is looking for sponsorship and support for 2024, maybe a quick word in the ear after an incident like that prior to going on TV would be a good idea for the future.
  6. Did Poole forget to put on their big boy pants? Nothing Geographical about those picks. Just like the pairs I guess Glasgow have to go up against the best in the country for a chance at the league title. Going to be outstanding racing with Redcar and Oxford.
  7. What have the failed (none negative )drugs/alcoholic tests got to do with how the sports performing. I work in an industry where we are tested, is it the companies fault if idiots break the rules and get caught? Withholding services? Happens in every sport, want a transfer but the managers not letting you go ? The difference being they have squad systems that can replace defective or ineffective players. I 100% agree that the sports organisation and rules are a joke and something my 5 year old could write. What ruffles my feathers is having people continuously drone on about how horrific the sport is and how it's going to be the end of speedway. Speedway will never ever die and if anyone thinks it is they need a quick shake up to how life works. As long as people like seeing bikes go round and round in circles and riders like riding bikes anti clockwise there will be some form of speedway.
  8. Staring a new Drinking game. Every time I see a post including the phrases: "Speedway is on its arse" Or "Final nail in the coffin of speedway" You take a shot. Rewind 2 years ago, there was very little championship speedway being streamed at a professional level. Now we have multiple meetings every flippin week, coming at you in Sky Sports quality productions. If you don't like it, sod off and watch cricket, I'm sure you'll find it far more entertaining.
  9. Really classy interview on BSN, definitely think he'll need to get some PR lessons.
  10. Don't worry Lisa, I got the banter, forum rules state, " 3.6.1 No personal attacks against any member except Steve Shovelar"
  11. Well luckily for you, Poole didn't win it. Let's go Tigers!!
  12. How quick can Ashtec turn an engine round, cause hopefully it's back before the 8th
  13. If you saw him at Ashfield, Berwick and Plymouth on his new engine it was night and day, god only knows what lawn mower engine he's been sat on for the last 4 months.
  14. Once Lee's engine went in heat 1 in Poole the away meetings were going to be difficult, god I hope he's got it repaired by the 8th or we're going to be in trouble. 21 points for the Poole cast aways is outstanding, I really like both of them and I think this year they've shown if given the right opportunity they will perform well. As Scunny Dan said, Ablitt should be first on the team sheet for 2024
  15. Does anyone think anything will change with the rulebook for 2024 with regards to averages ?? There's not enough Crayola pens or Crayons to fix the rulebook as it is.
  16. Just read the after match report and looks like Lee blew his engine in heat 1. If this is the new engine that he had against Berwick home/away and Plymouth, which have netted him his biggest points hauls this season, then I hope to goodness another similar engine is found soon.
  17. The "if I was a reserve being replaced" bits got me confused. As in removed from the squad then yes, if you went through the tapes in your 3 rides you'd get 3 X 0's and the opposite reserve would get 7 rides. The other point would be youve driven X amount of hundred miles to get to a meeting and left with no money. The problem the Crayon munching Brigade have got is if they didn't count the tape exclusions their X4 equation would be even less effect. Last night's meeting (keeping it Glasgow related) Richie Lawson scored 8 and Ben Cook got 6. One had an engine failure and the other went through the tapes. Had Richie's engine failure not counted he would've got a 10.6 to add to his CMA pot last night. 8/3(x4) Ben cooks Tapes would've kept him on a 6 average whereas with this wonder maths his average was 4.8. 6/5 (X4)
  18. Bought the stream and equally as good quality as the stream at Plymouth last night. Respectable score with a depleted Glasgow side , I though Tom was done but came back strong. 2 points from RR will hopefully be a few more when/if we get a replacement. 1 point in total which came in heat 2 from the reserve slots should be a point of concern.
  19. If Glasgow can get 30 points I will be mightily impressed. Plymouth had 3 track grades last night and one was after the Brennan/Complin/Ablitt bend 3 incident. Are Poole going for a track grade after every two heats tonight? Or is that only if the opposition looks to have the track remotely dialed in.
  20. Yes But how it's calculated is wrong, rider scores 4 points in a meeting. Scenario A - has 4 heats gives him a match average of 4 Scenario B - has 3 heats gives him a match average of 5.33 Go through the tapes it goes towards your average.
  21. Stream was well worth the 12 quid last night, Barker didn't stop for breath but I like the guy. Was thinking it would be one man and an iPhone but was multi cameras and well produced.
  22. The funny thing is having spoke to Tom in the past with regards to Ablitt, I think they are pals.
  23. I've read it cover to cover it helps massively with insomnia. It is as clear as mud and even then I'd have to take my glasses off to try and make sense of it. "Riders match averages will be calculated off all eligible races"(I'm paraphrasing )is complete and utter bollox. They use number of points /number of heats X 4. When I saw that I calculated based on Nowaks heats and realised it was X4, then I knew that it was utter nonsense and the rest of the rulebook reaffirmed my first impression. 16..... That's right 16 reason why a facility could be granted it'll probably be up to 17 next year to include "van broke down". Sticking to the Glasgow topic, Great job in Plymouth tonight another £12 will be spent on the Poole stream tomorrow too and hopefully we can improve on last time.
