  1. It's more of an opposite, if you want to keep your Harris' Masters' Kings, Wright's Lawson's and Worrals then the rest of the team will be massively reduced in strength. But again will have to see what they promoters come up with in Tenerife, if it's 36 points will fans be happy to pay £20 a ticket to see an incredibly diluted product. From 2022-2023 they dropped it by two points and virtually every team took a two pointer #7, if it drops from that by another 4 points God help us.
  2. I don't think that was Eurosport, think that was Pete Adams, saying they didn't want to run in a league with only 6 teams in it.
  3. If they go lower, I've been seeing 36 banded around, then you will decimate the teams we have now. Just to give you some reasoning behind it. The Average team #1 this year is 8.74. The average #5 or second highest averaged rider would be on a 7.86. That leaves 19.4 to build the remaining 5 riders. That would be 2 X 2 pointers at reserve and 3x5 pointers to fill your other heat leader and 2nd string slots. FYI Poole fans Ben Cook's on 7.39 and Zach Cooks on 6.22. In fact if they do go with 36 which is completely idiotic, riders with an average between 5 and 8 are probably going to be struggling to get a ride(theres 12 of them).
  4. Let's see what they build with 36 and both cooks on decent averages.
  5. But let's be honest 40 points had a lot of the teams built very similarly and anyone of the top 5 could've made the final. Edinburgh and Berwick hampered by injuries probably would've been far more competitive had they dodged that. So where's the logic in dropping it any further, your just going to dilute the product even further? Again I've used the word Logic which might be my stumbling block on why they would change it.
  6. Spread thin as in more teams than spots for them or the heat leaders we currently have won't be in the championship next year?
  7. 2022 it was 42, 2023 its 40 so I'm guessing we're waiting on the rolling of the chicken bones for 24
  8. As we approach the end of the season, and the silly season approaches, what are we looking to build to for 2024 ? 40, 42, 38, 25?
  9. All good news, so fingers crossed we're all good for 2024.
  10. I think all the riders commentating have been excellent, some stand outs Greg Blair, him and Ian together are hilarious Ben Barker, like the Energiser Bunny Jacob Hook, good solid commentary Dan Gilkes, again solid Ian Brennan is top notch commentator, but the difference between Eurosport and BSN,firstly I think BSN has better camera angles, the helmet Cam for Eurosport can take a running F, sole commentary can't keep up with the pace of the heats and that's when Kelvin Stumbles, the booth Insite is far superior on BSN. This year I was 50/50 on getting the early bird price and decided against it, but luckily got the half season package which has been worth every penny. I think this year it's shone brighter than it did in 2022. I just hope they're managing to run it at a profit so that it continue for many many years to come.
  11. Was scrolling to find a suitable post to add this too, Could I please ask that the 2024 package is available for purchase before Christmas, so that I can avoid unnecessary presents that I have no want or need for Been the best entertainment all season long.
  12. Apologies, Ian Brennan posted a video on Scott's twitter post. Unless I've got the names mixed up, that's who I thought presents on BSN?
  13. Weather wise, it was dry till lunchtime, then chucked down for 3 hours, glorious sunshine from 3-5 then rained solidly for the rest of the evening. (I work 5 mins drive from ashfield) The meeting was called based on this forecast at about 0815 (on Facebook ), I'm assuming that's why Taresenko "hadn't flown in. So no "fuel added to any fire" Scott's post had a hint of cynicism too it, maybe suggesting it was not necessary for the meeting to be called. Evidently the track staff and BSN have posted videos to show there was no chance to race last night.
  14. What was the nonsense all about in heat 14? Jake Allen Makes a perfect start, red light on. Drew Kemp on his own bike, perfectly legitimately. Red light on, all a cuffel then he has to come back out on Nathan's bike? Showed some real cojones to then smash them for a 5-1
  15. Did you read the whole article? Mike Phillips tells Gary May to "get preparing for 2024." They're jetting off to Tenerife for the AGM and they are looking to a employ "a commercial manager" a "paid possition" Definitely worrying signs.
  16. Cause Poole did a sterling job in supporting the British youth last season by making Kemp and Ablitt unemployable for 2024, karma soon comes and bites you
  17. Have Poole accidentally shot themselves in the foot taking the "easier teams"?
  18. But what again is madness is going by that a rider like Kenyan Rew could've come over, had half a dozen rides in the premier on a 4, completely been out of his depth and would be stuck now on a 6 point average in the championship if the 1.5 kicked in straight away Luckily Kenyan has performed well all season.
  19. I know the title is for assessed averages. But can we look at the ridiculousness that is the average system. "Is a single number taken as a representative of a list of numbers" But how can we have riders averages calculated when we miss up to over 50% of their competitive matches?
  20. Add to the craziness that an Aussie rider coming over for their first season on a 4, could have a stinker and have a rolling average of 2.5 but are stuck on a 4 for the following season team building.
  21. That sounds like something I'd like to see
  22. That's the problem, you have 3 leagues in Poland and riders riding 1-7 so a fixed number doesn't work.
