Some Glasgow fans also forget 50% of the league/Cup racing happens at tracks where passing can sometimes be at a premium, Poole,Armadump,Plymouth, Berwick....... So having a rider that can consistently get out the traps faster than the other three riders is of a great benefit.

We need to be in a realisation that with the drop to 38 and the reassessing of the Polish riders we won't be having riders of the Class of Basso, Taresenko and others round Ashfield in 2024. I'm pretty sure Bomber will be back at one and hopefully Lee too so at least we'll have some fence scraping to witness.

Best Gater in the league, would love to see him at Glasgow
-
I watched a few meetings that were streamed at Plymouth and actually enjoyed the racing. I do hope they're at the tapes in 2024, plus the away supporters probably the loudest we've had at Ashfield this season.

I'd take Ben cook in a heart beat

You called... their averages at the start of 2023 were 6.09 for Ben, now 7.39 and Zach was 4.92 now 6.22. So both riders put 1.30 on their averages riding in the main body of the team, last year Zach was riding at #6 and if the playoffs and cups had counted he would've been on around a 7. Something. So my point was the averages they were on were nonsense for this season, Now they are on the realistic averages and I will be massively surprised if they are both with Poole next year.
-
On Connors average if you go two heat leaders at 1 and 5, he has to go at 3, I personally would rather take Claus and a new Dane at 3/4 then a 4 pointer at 2.
-
I don't think he will. Bit expensive on a 5.95.
-
He has now, working as a janitor at allied vehicles.

1.Bomber Harris 2.Tom Brennan 3.Ben Basso 4.Patrick Wodjylo 5.Vadim Taresenko 6.Lee Complin 7.Ace Pijper Thoughts? I believe it's 39.99
-
You take Bomber regardless of what average he's on. It's #5 and #3 that'll be difficult this season.

Great news and look forward to an away visit or two next year.

100% agree, although Speedway is my number 1 sport. We stay 30 miles from Glasgow, I work in the city, but by crikey these last two weeks I've been knackered with the midweek racing and not getting home till 11. Loved it for the playoffs but would be a struggle week in week out. Completely agree with the tai reference, speedway will hopefully grow in the city and when the times right they'll make the step up.

Just a quick question during the team building guessing for 2024. Riders who didn't take a ride in 2023 due to injury or riding abroad elsewhere what happens to their averages for 2024. (Jack Thomas, Zaine Kennedy etc) And riders who haven't ridden in the UK in a few years, do there averages get reassessed? Similarly to Lee Complin? Is there a minimum period before they'll reassess?
-
If it goes to 38 there's going to be a lot of riders without a spot, just look at Lewi 8.6 too much for Oxfords liking.
-
Whatever happens you build the team around Bomber Harris, they guy is an absolute machine. Lee Complin since August has been outstanding (till bike blew in Poole) especially turning it on in the playoffs. Danyon needs to come back.

Glasgow V Poole Championship Final 8/10/23 6pm

Lee Complin has the biggest balls and heart in that side, he rides with a f***ing trailing leg !!! So the shoe bit is beyond me, he just got two points in heat 11. I am convinced Lee would've ridden with his arm in a cast and a pair of flip flops if the side needed him. Either someone's made a mistake, or someone's been told to put Ace out. -

On a side not from the Ace needed to take it or not debacle. Glasgow just matched the biggest Defeat Poole have had all season in all competitions. So could we have asked for any more from the boys.
