Attendance wise I’d say between the 700-1000 mark depending who Glasgow are racing against and what time of year. remembering the post Covid limited numbers which I believe were 400 and Glasgow was sold out every meeting. That sort of attendance was what we were seeing at the final Poole race, which was the lowest attendance I’ve seen there in recent years. pre covid Glasgow we’re just about on the break even mark and coming out of it I’m sure the margins are a bit further apart now. I’m pretty positive Edinburgh will be back at the tapes next year.

I think Ben at 1 would be outstanding but I genuinely cannot see him coming back. Cookie I’m sure is moving on but who else could be have at 1?
-
I’ve heard he’s going Plymouth Berwick and Edinburgh so far

Just read it again, holy poops miss read that a bit , I was reading what I’d hope you’d say I would genuinely hope that masters stays and then it’s a toss up between cookie or picko and I know for sure which way I’d go.

I’m sure Bailey’s heading elsewhere.

With very rough maths and not looking at the exact averages I am positively telling you that with Sam,Josh, cookie and Justin you have less than 6 points to get your last 3 riders in.
-
Kye and Tom are on exactly the same average (when discount is applied) one made his average average at #5 the other #3, I think Tom at 3 and another rider at 5 will show his true average this year.
-
I personally think he had a better season than what his average shows. He literally had 3 disastrous meetings at Glasgow mid season with accidents and bike failures which dragged him down. On an 8.2 ish average if he can perform as he has done in the past he will be an absolute steal, I just don’t think it’ll be Glasgow, they have tried the last 3 seasons building a team around him and it just seems that if we lose the other experienced member in the team (Uli in the last two seasons) then the remainder of the team falls apart.
-
He’s on a 5 ???? His lowest average in the last 10 years was 6.84 ?? He left Glasgow on a 7.68. he could moan every meeting as long as he can improve off his starting average and I’d still be happy.

100% this they can’t keep chopping and changing they need a long term plan and stick to it I understand why they’re doing it, but it’s going to mean fitting Sam and Nick Morris in any team next year very difficult, which is rubbish cause that’s the type of talent we want to see race.

Would definitely have him back it’s just difficult to keep him on his average. I agree he could likely put another point on next season. But and overseas rider on a 5 or a claus vlissgen on a 5 may prove more appealing.

Glasgow built on a strong reserve pairing with Connor and Danyon, Leicester and Poole built with three 8+ Point heat leaders. If it drops to a 6 man team Poole drop a rider who has scored 22 points home and away all season Glasgow drop a rider who’s scored 98 points home and away. -
Which one would you let go?
-
The danger will be with two reserves on low averages, Poole we’re lucky that kemp made it into the main body of the team while Zach was having an off month in July and found himself at 6 for the playoffs and cup. if Poole Keep the cooks and the current 3 heat leaders they would need to go for two 2 points at reserve.(based on a 40 point average) Which would be a massive gamble because If they couldn’t put points on their average you would be stuck with a weak 6 and 7 for the entire season.

The format for the finals also hasn’t been announced. If as Rumoured that it would be 5 or 6 man teams, what riders would be dropped for the final? The competition was run on 7 man teams built to a 42 points, now there’s a potential that two clubs could drop their number 7’s who have struggled to score both home and away and Glasgow would lose Connor Bailey. This would leave Poole and Leicester with their 3 heat leaders and Glasgow running at a reduced strength team before the tapes have even gone up. -

What was the reasoning behind pulling out? -
Which heat leader will they go without?
-
Lucky Zach’s playoff or cup points don’t count or his average would be 7.05.He just had that shocker of a July.
-
I’m assuming they’re trying to prevent teams having 3 heat leaders, leaving teams like Birmingham scraping the barrel to get a 38 point team when the limits 42.
-
5.83, it’ll be a struggle to fit him in.

If the rumours are true that they’re going to run top 5 man teams why should they even bother?
