  1. Leicester's burger van was pretty tidy too when we were down for a trip.
  2. Just to summarise and do correct me if I'm missing something. A consortium had put together a business plan to bring speedway back to Somerset. A gentleman then emailed and harassed the council members stating he owned completely the Somerset rebels and name dropped a lot of people involved with speedway saying he had their backing. North Somerset council don't do any investigation into these claims but throw out the plans from this Shale ltd ???
  3. Hoping to make it down to Scunthorpe this year.
  4. Glasgows' used to be good then last season was switched to outside caterers and went expensive and nowhere near as good. Only been to a few away meetings (plans to go further afield this year) Even though they're our rivals Edinburgh's coffee in the main stand is the best, their hotdogs on the other hand not good.
  5. You are completely correct his away form was less than brilliant (danyon hume scored better than him) but imagine how he will perform on a second trip around the UK.
  6. Glasgow should make the top 6, it's having the team lined up for the playoffs In September that matters. Toms average was made at him riding at 5 all season. If Tom rides at 3 all season puts his average to 7.7+ it'll be far more difficult to fit him in the line up for 2024. If he stays at 5 until August maintains his average then switch him to 3 for the playoffs let him score 10+ every meeting it will not affect his GSA. Do you think Poole would've kept Zach Cook on a 7+ average (which is what his playoff/koc scoring would've given him)?
  7. Ben at one and bomber at 5 is not a bad thing. GSA only calculated on league matches August we have 2 league matches (I think) Poole spent all season getting kemp out of 6
  8. I hope there is some thought behind it too, and here's mine. You put Brennan at 3 there's at least a whole extra point going on his average. We won't have Basso back next season we were lucky to have him this year. Leave him at 3 let his average climb and switch in August to put Tom at 3, that is if we intend to keep Tom for 2024 and I would.
  9. Brennan was at 5 all season. Kye was at 3 all season. Cook was at 4,6 and 2
  10. Ben Cook - 9 meetings away at #4 averaged 3.2/meeting. 4 meetings away at #6 averaged 5.8/meeting 4 meetings away at #2 averaged 8.22/meeting Kye Thomson - 18 meetings away at #3 averaged 6.6 a meeting. My Aussies better than yours
  11. Kye Thomson already done a whole season at 3, strong bloody rider and guested for us, was feint rumblings of him heading west down the M8 and would've been great at Glasgow. So in comparison I would say no
  12. Oh....... Apologies, comparing to the other teams in the championship. I believe , Tom Brennan, Charles Wright, Kye Thomson, Lewis Kerr, Richy Worrall are far stronger proven third heat leaders.
  13. They're going to have a lot to live up to in 2023, Zach's turn in form was Scoring from reserve now he's in the main body of the team and Ben Cook has Danny kings boots to fill.
  14. I'm guessing their hoping to up his average very very quickly, he'll be getting all his rides at #7 and there won't be a heat 8 switch like Nathan experienced all last season.
  15. I have to admit I like the fact that Poole have done the opposite to every team in the league. Every team has tried to maintain a strong 1,3,5 at the expensive of carrying a 2 pointer at 7. Poole haven't. Last season Poole did the same and had a strong number 6 (once drew kemp was at 2) to carry the third ride for their 2 pointer. So will be good to see what the winning formula is this season.
  16. Why have meetings been scheduled for the week of the World Cup when we have multiple weeks of zero speedway to look forward to.
  17. Sedgeman is no slouch either, effectively put Glasgow out the KOC last year on his “welcome back to Ashfield” guesting for Edinburgh.
  18. I definitely dont think so, I’d personally take the Birmingham team over Berwick and Edinburgh, did you see Birminghams squad or lack of for 2022 cause im convinced you haven’t.
  19. @Pauldoveyspeedway did you get a dodgy Pie at Perry Bar like 10 years ago and have held a grudge ever since
  20. Would you say the team is stronger than it was last year? do you think Berwicks team are going to win the league with the team they have? do you think Edinburgh will win the league when pretty much they’ve swapped Masters for Cook and Serjent for Bickley? Were fortunate to have them come to the tapes again or otherwise our season would be even less meetings than it already is.
