Who's rating him above what he has achieved? He is a two pointer who is making his average, Glasgow management and owners have stated there is zero pressure on him and from the terraces at ashfield everyone is saying the same. So I'm not quite sure who's saying he's better than what he is?

Ok conspiracy theories aside and the fact that I have no idea about Broughton or his dad. I suffered a major health episode while being away from home and jumped in the car and drove all the way home not feeling the greatest, because when you feel ill there's nowhere that makes it better than your own bed. Granted 8 hours later I was in A&E with a life changing medical issue.FYI I'm all good now.

I think the majority are happy, but the realists amongst us can see that the chances of a trophy this year are none existent. Racing wise you will not get better racing anywhere else than what we get to see every Friday night.

I don't think a single educated person had anything bad to say against Ace, if they have any understanding of how averages work his average means he is Expected to score two points per meeting. He's doing that and improving.

Glasgow v Edinburgh CL 16/9/23 @19-30

Great find in Bastian, look forward to seeing him in Red and White next season. -
If there was a stronger 4 pointer out there I'm sure Glasgow would already have snapped them up. The way the team was built this year all the pressure was going to be on Lee to compensate for an up and coming 16 year old at 7. The reality is our 7 is scoring above and beyond his average our 6 is struggling is to meet his. Unless there's a hidden Aussie superstar that hasn't raced in Poland or Denmark before, waiting back south of the equator for his chance to shine then I feel it may be a limp end to the season when the stronger reserve pairings come calling.

09/06/23 Edinburgh v Glasgow (CH)

Which Glasgow Rider performed under par? Pacco did what Pacco can do and Kye was massively below his usual high standard. Up until heat 13 there were only 4 points in it. -
Looking at the Birmingham team, they're only one or two riders short of a decent team. I'd think Morris and Sedgemen are decent heat leaders, Alfie at two looked pretty handy when I saw him racing at Glasgow. Where they are lacking is a strong 3 to pair up with Dan Thompson. And Maybe a stronger 6 to go with Little P, who also looks good up against a lot of the other number 7's in the country. Maybe if they had a strong third heat leader it would keep the meeting closer and maybe give the rest of the team the drive to push harder. Whens Zaine Kennedy due back on a bike? Dillon Rhuml?

Apologies for the potentially repeated question, but how many matches are taken into account for a Match Average, I understand that to obtain an initial MA it's now 8 meetings (regardless of home or away) in the championship but how many are taken into consideration for your maintained average, I've seen 10 and 20 mentioned.

Redcar vs Glasgow KOC QF 1st leg 26th May
Cast1rn replied to LisaColette's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I think the most disappointing thing is due to the incredibly short format of the season, we've probably done ourselves out of another 2 home meetings, but there's 15 heats to turn it around. -

Baring the result was a good first visit to Redcar, was good to see Ace and Marcin improving with every heat for a first visit to Redcar in the championship. Brennan did what a captain should do, 16 points is a hell of a task to overturn but will make for a nail biting Tuesday night. Will definitely add this to our away tracks to go visit again. -

Heading down for this too!!!! Should be a great meeting, second string Glasgow much stronger, if Jason Edwards can have a similar meeting as he did against Poole, we could have a decent chance. Redcar will be out for redemption so its going to be a great meeting. -
I would say it's done the opposite, look across the country and there's no two teams built the same. It's either take a two pointer and try and maintain a strong 1 and 5 Take a Strong 1 3 and 5 and take two, two pointers at reserve Or try to maintain strength in depth with a somewhat weaker top end. Personally I think every team should be required to have 1 X 2 pointer at 7 so that it balances out across the league and stop the reserve switch.

Ablitt was punished last season for signing for Poole. They used him as a 3 heat a night rider with a switch in heat 8, giving him the opposition's 1 and 2 to race against in heat 11. So the reality being he had Heat 2 and 4 to score against the opposition's #7 and improve on his average. This was all done to accommodate, lawson, king and Worral so they didn't care if Ablitt scored a 0. Scunthorpe don't have 3 heat leaders so I'm at a loss as to why they brought him in. Personally I would be looking at getting Kemp back in on his inflated average (another Poole by-product) to try and steady out the second string. And looking for a 2 pointer with the same hunger as Ace.

Good to see Nathan won't be seeing heat 8 and getting flung to the wolves in heat 11 again this season, going to do his average wonder's. -

Was that correct that Scunthorpe haven't been beaten at home in over a year? -
BERWICK v GLASGOW (BSN) April 15th - 7pm
Cast1rn replied to crescent girl's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Outstanding performance from the tigers, yes Berwick were poor but you can only race what's Infront of you. For the Marcin Doubters, last time he was at Berwick he scored 0 tonight 7. At Edinburgh, 2021 1 point, 2023 4 points. Would I have him in the team over Broc Nicol, hell yeah. Or more relevant, would I take him over Lasse that's currently filling the #2 spot at Armadale..... Hell yeah!! Once Ace finds his feat and starts hitting his average consistently, Glasgow will be just fine. -
Jubilee championship league

Maybe the management could sense the oncoming disaster and politely asked to get off the train at the next station. Could you ever ever imagine an FA cup final, league trophy final or friggin British tiddlywinks final being brushed under the carpet and hoping that everyone will just forget about it .........? -

Glasgow v Edinburgh , Easter Sunday
Cast1rn replied to Weeyin's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Back to the racing. Bomber showed in heat 10 that's he's here for the team and not just himself, had he put his head down and gone Marcin would've been picked off by Kye. Glasgow's 3 and 4 look as solid if not better than last year's. Lee Complin was outstanding, look forward to watching him race every week if he continues like that. Ace just needs to keep doing what he's doing, looking back to last season with Jordan Palin and Nathan Abblitt, who when I saw them race at Ashfield were finishing every heat at least 3/4 of a lap behind the pace, Ace is there or there abouts and with more laps under his belt is only going to do better. -

He's basically said in his statement, you've tried to take me out in bend 3 so I've taken you out in bend 2 "harden up". So he's deliberately caused an accident, wrecked Ben's Bike and caused his team mate to do a couple of somersaults. What would you expect the fans to say? "Good Job Cookie" -
Two passes the whole night but they were good to see, Bomber on Josh in Heat 13 and Josh on Bomber in heat 15. Heat 15 choice was strange, everyone on bend 3 was sure it would be Bomber and Ben/Claus. Even stranger was putting bomber off one instead of 3 when he likes to "Bomb" from the outside. Don't think it would've affected the result but maybe would've been able to split cookie and Josh at the end. Lets see how Sunday goes.

What parallel universe are you floating around in?? "Not like most people work at 9-5 anymore these days" I assume you don't venture along the M8 east or west bound between the hours of 7-9 am or 430-6 pm where all us minions just decide to go for a drive at the exact same time for no apparent reason.
