  1. I wonder how many riders were riding in multiple leagues in multiple countries then?
  2. You think with the league the way it is now, some riders will be riding in teams that only potentially have 22 meetings other successful teams could have 32. That's 10 more potential pay days.
  3. Totally agree with this. What's the thoughts for numbers next season??
  4. Clearly a flip of the coin or roll of the dice is whats probably going to be used to determine it.
  5. So can he drop below 4 at the end of this month? on the Declarations it says "assessed" next to his name, which is why I went looking in the rulebook.
  6. As fans of speedway we were all wanting and screaming for 2 home/2 away this season which would've been 32 league matches. But how in the world would we've have dealt with a single rain off???? Glasgow Vs Oxford was scheduled for the 6th May. Almost 2 months later and we still don't have a date........ The reason I have heard on the terraces is that riders riding in multiple foreign leagues for both teams can't fit in the proposed dates. Granted their would've been no BSN league but including the finals that's only 8 matches. Minus the league matches we have this year that leaves an extra 8 meetings to fit in. Surely the BSPL or whoever is in charge has to come out with a clear "must be rescheduled before dates" ruling or otherwise we'll end up with the same as last year where we have league meetings taking place after the playoffs
  7. Morning Lisa, it was a late night read through and posted before bed but I think I'm getting what it means now. "No rider with a current or previously assessed MA, other than a rider who has never achieved an MA in a professional league, can drop below 4.00 at any time during the season." I was thinking about Lee and wether he would potentially drop below 4 on July 28th. As last year he was on an assessed average, but due to Newcastle closing he didn't obtain a CMA as he didn't get enough meetings. Now he's started this season with an assessed average again. So I'm not sure how it works.
  8. "No rider with a current or previously assessed MA, other than a rider who has never achieved an MA in a professional league, can drop below 4.00 at any time during the season." Can someone confirm this for me? If so I'm confused why Roynons on a 3.8something.
  9. I'm guessing they aren't counting Plymouth Vs Redcar. I had 23 out of 26. Again this only matters if they intend on replacing him.
  10. He's on an assessed average he needed 8 matches to get a CMA, he's two short as I think the Newcastle meetings were not counted. My bad maths indicates he needs to score a lot in the next hand full of meetings to maintain his assessed average. **Lunchtime maths edit ** He needs to score 6 points in 3 out of the 4 meetings and 5 in the remainder just to maintain a 4 point average.
  11. If and only If there are too be changes I do hope the management know they have 26 days to do it, because someone's average is dropping by half a point after the next two meetings.
  12. Tate practicing in Leszno today, wonder if we'll be seeing him in the championship next month
  13. For someone who "knows team building" you will surely understand this, you have 40 points. You want Basso bomber and tom in your team?? If you do we got probably the strongest possible 2nd strings in Claus and Marcin because they both came in on 5 point averages. Which meant we were left with 6 to fill the reserves. It was always a gamble with who went at 6 but please show another 4 pointer that could've gone at reserve........ Personally I would've taken Jason Edwards but he was gone to Redcar, Paul Starke would've been my 2nd choice but didn't fit so I'm guessing they thought Lee could do it. When you're comparing riders such as Marcin, have a look at where Broc was at last year because that's who he's come to replace, Secondly scoring points at 2 is far harder than what Marcin had when he was last here at 6. Oxford put Poole to the sword with a #7 reserve scoring 0 and a 6 that scored 9 off of 7 rides (1.2) per ride. So if Lee gets 4 and Ace gets 2, which is what their averages are at then we only need 1 little extra point from somewhere and that extra point may just come in heat 8 from the "slow Polish fella".
  14. "Odd riders in Poland" ? You mean two of our heat leaders. When is the jubilee cup final actually taking place?
  15. Ooh Roynon 0.38 short for Tate, but never mind he'll only be getting 3 heats when the power houses of Birmingham Edinburgh and Berwick come to town to bump that up.
  16. And the sweeds are very clever people. So maybe that is the way
  17. Just like the present average system. Anything can be manipulated if you want to, it's just about minimising the manipulation. If your going to go off averages it has to be an actual average based on all the meetings the rider takes part in. Not cut 53% of them.
  18. No need to make any change until the 27th August when the Chicken bones and dice come out. Have a punt at a 4 pointer or NDL wizz and see how we go. If not back to the drawing board for 24.
  19. Why would we want them as 6 and 7 pointers ? Cause Poole certainly won't
  20. Try building a 40 point team with 2 X 8.6+ riders and not take a 2 point. Reserve. As soon as Basso was brought in you had to go weaker at reserve. It was either weaker in the main body of the team, or weaker at reserve. Look at every other team in the league and the majority are carrying a two pointer. The only reason Poole look stronger is they have Zach and Ben on ridiculously low averages. If it stays 40 points next year one or both won't be there. On the Lee front, yes he's struggling massively but please point out another 4 point rider that could go in his place?
  21. The problem is that if you just did an average based on points per heat average, which would be a completely accurate. You would have to go to 3dp to get separation of the riders or you could have a lot of 1.0 riders and imagine the excitement of building a team to a score of 12 where your squeezing in a 1.789 and a 2.783.
  22. If you want to be the best you got to beat the best, so at least it gives us 2 months to panic and fix it if needed.
  23. Who's having the drop in form this year? Have the Cooks Premier team additional rides this year hindered or helped them?
