  1. Do they write this Rulebook in Crayola pens or Crayons?
  2. oops again, I'd never heard of the place till I heard the Centre green announcer at Redcar, that guy should be on the radio, he was outstanding.
  3. Oooops, minus Claus, Ben and Ace still think it would knock off the 0.47. but never mind we didn't get either.
  4. I genuinely had no idea this was a thing and only thought this morning, Luke Harrison had his first ride in the championship as a Guest last night, but is it because he has an NDL team?
  5. Thought it was 5% off for the Brits. I'm sure Danyon would've loved to stay, but you can see where Glasgow is struggling now and I'm sure the Bilirichy Blaster ( the best nickname in championship speedway)would've been a solid 6.
  6. Danyon at 2 and Jason Edwards at 6 I think may be 0.04 over with the Brit discount. But that's what I would've liked to see. As soon as Basso was brought back (which is awesome to watch week in week out) we had to go 5,5,4,2 (for our 2nd strings and reserves.)
  7. Meant to post this a few weeks ago but forgot As per the green sheets that came out on the 28th June, there have been 16 rider changes since the start of the season in the championship, only one for injury (this was before Jake's ankle) With 9 teams in the league and 63 riders that means 25% of the riders that started the league aren't at the club they started with. Now I know that the 40 point building average affects the ability to change the layout of the team and multiple changes are needed to fit one rider. But riders like Hook, Pearson and Thomson are losing their jobs when they're actually perform up to or greater than their averages. This surely can't be benefiting the sport or bringing on the young riders especially if they don't know wether or not they're going to keep their places from one week to the next? One suggestion that was brought up would be to have fixed transfer windows within the season to limit the periods at which riders can be moved on or brought in. What's everyones thoughts?
  8. On the "costing the title" part I think we'd need more than a swap at 2 and 6 to get anywhere close.
  9. Agreed, have a look of the video on the tigers Facebook and you'll see how left behind he was in heat 1. Granted Danyon is maybe a stronger number 2 but in heat 8 he should've definitely had the beating of Edwards. Heat 10, was the first time I've seen him with his elbows out to repass Bailey, but he should be doing that in every heat. Definitely shouldve had 1 point extra minimum tonight.
  10. I demand a Refund!! Danyon was great to watch around Ashfield both of his visits this year, really wished we'd kept him, Bomber going round the boards in heat one passing both riders turning a 1-5 to a 3-3 was something to behold. Ace did Very well again. Marcin really needed an extra point or two especially in heat 8. Claus was outstanding battling with Erik in heat 14 was brilliant. Danny going through the tapes in 13 pretty much sealed the meeting but still edge of the seat stuff from heat 1-15. I feel the Oxford meeting will be just as tight. So look forward to that.
  11. Because the defeat at Poole is what's being discussed? The one Glasgow were at? Hence the post on a Glasgow thread.
  12. Zach Cooks, 4.6 was a colossal joke, his playoff and cup average was over 7, last year's averages were based on 10 meetings, this year is 20 so it's harder to adjust.
  13. That wasn't the question Lisa, you stated that Scunthorpe didn't struggle at Poole, 49-41 with Duggy getting 18. You had Sedgemen guesting at 5 and scoring 7. Did Poole maybe not pass on "the little special start trick up your sleeves" that good old Richie mentioned on BSN on Wednesday.
  14. Now now Lisa, what was the difference Vs Scunthorpe?? Who was missing. And who got 15 for Redcar
  15. But if a change was to be made is he on a 4 until the 26th July? The uncertainty also comes from the fact he's on an assessed from last year, I'm not sure whether he can drop below 4.
  16. Fyi @Cabbageman I do think a change would help, but I don't think there's anyone out there to replace a 4 pointer. And in all honesty I don't think we could beat Poole over two legs with any number of changes. I struggle to see any team beating Poole over two legs tbh.
  17. Tate's on 5 according to the TM. Last year Connor, Danyon and Broc all had stints at 2 and all dropped back into reserve when their averages couldn't be maintained in that position. Broc was a 5. Something at the start of the season. His scoring compared to Marcin at this point in the season is Marcin 70 Broc 58 and six of the meetings Broc had up to this point were at reserve. Personally speaking #2 is probably the hardest position to reach double figures in scoring. Why?? Because you're riding with your own #1 in every heat except 1, your up against the opposition's heat leaders in every heat except 1. So when you look at their scoring I judge the number 2 in heat 8 which he should be winning, heat 1 how he goes against his opposite number 2, heat 6 he should be getting a point and heat 10 is a 50/50. So 5 or 6 points at 2 for me is a fair score. Any more is a bonus.
  18. ? They got beat 52- 38 at wimborne road?
  19. Think some people have the old Man Utd complex where we should have 5 Artem Lagutas and Bartoz and Emil at reserve because that'll fit surely.
  20. Considering Poole have won every single competition (minus the pairs) since they've dropped down, would that be a suggestion that every team in the league is weak and will end up "with a duck" this season? I can't see any team touching them this season not just based on last night's performance but have a look at their results for the whole season so far.
  21. Bit of a reality check. Glasgow's previous 4 visits to Wimborne road have resulted in 4 heavy losses. 60-30, 51-39,56-34 and 56-34. No matter what group of riders go down there we can't keep it close. Poole have only won by less than 50 points twice this season and guess what. Once was RR running for Anders against Redcar with Danny King scoring 15 And the second against Scunthorpe with Sedgemen in as guest for an injured Lawson. The reality is Wimborne road is fortress, there is no passing and it's all about getting out the gate and it's not about who drops the clutch the quickest it's about how the bike is set up to get out the traps. Credit where Credits due, every single one of the Poole boys had it dialled in to a T. Wether you like that or not ,it's irrelevant it's how trophies are won.
  22. If you're foreign and have raced in the Polish , Danish or Swedish league you come in on a 5 point average. So two of them would be over the points limit.
  23. Tonight he can score 16 points and it'll mean absolutely 0 to his average because thats the crazy rules made up by the folks that run the place. However if Mr Roynon is reading the forums, he has Berwick at Home and Birmingham home and away to maintain below a 4 average or he will most probably be replaced by a 16 year old Australian who's been unable to get back on a bike until this month.
