They pretty much start every meeting thread, so they can drop their holier than now cack in there somewhere. -
To save creating a separate thread, if you could replace the current average system what would you change it with?

Didn't even know it was on BSN, haven't seen any posts on the socials for it. -

What choices has he needed to make that would be pivotal in a change in the outcome of a meeting..... None as far as I can see. The biggest change in the team this year motivation wise and support for the boys is Bomber. Again it's only what im seeing from the terraces. But he appears to be there for the boys in every heat of every meeting. I believe he's around the 40 mark and judging by his form is improving like a fine wine. If he likes racing for Glasgow get him tied up for the next few seasons and build your team from there.

From what I've heard, he was coming in better prepared,on better equipment and lighter than 2022. When the announcement was made I did say to a few people that there was going to be a lot of expectation on him to score to make up for our young 2 pointer at 7 with no pressure on his shoulders, in the last couple of meetings it's been our 16 year old who's performing better and having to try and pull in those extra few points for our reserve pairing. -

Don't be inviting more Poole fans to Ashfield, the poor first aiders will be rushed off their feet reviving them from the sheer shock of seeing passing. -

There's a difference between stating facts and moaning. Richie Lawson is probably my favourite rider in the entire league, I mean the guy looks like Jesus and races like a champ. -

The best comment from the Blue Rinse Brigade was: "That was Men Vs Boys" Must take a real set of balls to have "trick up your sleeve starts" and play follow the leader for four laps. I'll take the "throw it round the boards girlies" anytime -

Marcins only had 3 away meetings in 2021, when he turned up at Armadale he thought it was the training track, and Berwick he couldn't turn the bike I think he scored one at Edinburgh and 0 at Berwick and then fairly decently at Poole. Look at his scoring at both tracks this year, not from reserve, which is why I don't understand the "let's get rid of Marcin" brigade. -

I smell what he's stepping in but maybe put it across in a more discreet manner. Glasgow are thought to be too "friendly" with their riders and not ruthless enough. Unlike our friends in the very far south who will drop you for dropping a chain. This wasn't the case when they dropped Sedgy at the midway point ironically bringing in Marcin, the reality that season Justin wasn't the only weak link. If there was someone around that was on a 4 I'm convinced he would've already been put in place. Changing Marcin I can't see it benefiting us greatly, what we going to get? maybe 2 or 3 points more. I would assume we stick as is, then if there's a two pointer that's blowing the NDL apart throw them in in August once we've hopefully secured the playoffs. Ashtons name has been thrown about a lot, so I look forward to seeing him a week on Sunday where he'll be up against some seasoned veteran under 21's. -

Think it was the best possible move for Connor, his scoring round Ashfield at 6 was ridiculous, making double figures on multiple multiple occasions. Up at 2 he was holding his own too just doing the reserve shuffle between him an Danyon. Away from home he was the weakest tiger by a large margin, seeing him racing this year at 4 for Redcar at Redcar he's already a much improved rider and is only going to get better and better. His polish experience as well is going to only make him a more rounded and improved rider. -
Again I have far too much time on my hands, page 94 of 2023 rules are clear as mud as to how they calculate the averages and I had a look (again don't judge) at Roynons last 20 eligible rides and Marcins 8 and they seem to be using number of points/ number of rides X 4 and I think again just going off the two guys mentioned that it matches their CMA's including Ex and F.

Glasgow (28) vs (62) PIRATES BSN Final 2nd leg 21st July
Cast1rn replied to lbw's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
I totally agree with you, without playoffs teams in 2nd 3rd 4th 5th 6th and probably 7th and 8th this season would have nothing but pride to race for. Again with the additional revenue point, keep the quarters and semis in the two leg format so the clubs can reap the rewards of making it that far but have the final at a suitable neutral venue on a flipping Saturday or Sunday planned well in advance. With the Trooping to KL point, that's irrelevant, how many of you will be travelling to Glasgow a week on Friday (even if the first meeting had been closer) anyway. In the current format where the trophies going to be handed out will be a potential long trip for 50% of the fans anyways. -

I completely agree with you Steve and hopefully we will get to gloat too one day when Glasgow gets their hands on some silverware. The sore point from the opposition fans, is that we know that the starts are deliberately doctored to disadvantage visiting riders. After the third bend, lap one you might as well get the chequered flag out cause the riding order doesn't change. Unless I've misinterpreted what Danny King and Richie Lawson were refering to on BSN? Last night at Glasgow there were two teams battling it out on a fair race track and there was more genuine passing there, then there will be at Wimborne Road all season. Last point. . . The way to a fair final, is to hold it at a randomly selected nuetural venue with a one off meeting. Where the riders will be left to determine who the best team is and not the track set-up. -
I'm afraid even as a tigers fan I cannot agree with you here, it's not cheating, it's just doctored starts to benefit the home riders, Danny king said it a few weeks ago, Richie Lawson confirmed it last week (bet the Poole management wish he hadn't said that on the TV )but it's definitely not Cheating!!! The funny thing is I'm sure our season tickets and theirs are similarly priced and we've got more passes in one meeting than they have all season.

Rider Changes in the championship
Cast1rn replied to Cast1rn's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
To find a suitable solution, just needs like minded sensible people to sit around a table to discuss and write the adjustments to the rules , provide them to a selective group for dissection and attempt to break or bend them and once the QA is complete implement them the following year. -

Danyon was the lowest scoring rider out of all the riders at Ashfield last season, but was scoring better than most (including Tom and Basso) away. -

I don't think there's any Glasgow fan that wouldn't have wanted Danyon in the team this year, last year his bloody inconsistency was at home and both times he's been up he's scored well from the number 2 spot. His averages dropped to 5.2 from 5.8 so I don't know how he's doing elsewhere. That was the problem he couldn't fit in at 5.8 -
