  1. If it does go to one league and I guess this massively depends on how many teams show up for 2024, I wonder what racing night we and all the other championship teams get?
  2. Odds on keeping Basso and Chris next year?
  3. They've pushed back the playoffs because had they started racing league meetings once per week when the season began in April all the league meetings would've been completed by the begining of June and we'd have a 3 month long season. Uncharacteristic monsoon season which Britain seems to have adopted for August has scuppered their plans of a once a fortnight dragged out season. On your "only Dan brings the crowds" considering we have 9 clubs in the championship, that seem to get from the many hundreds to couple of thousands at their own meetings minus Dan I'm sure a sufficient number of tickets could be sold to make it viable.
  4. A good one, when there's only 8 home league meetings a season and god only knows how many we'll have next year if they stick with two leagues, the more meetings that count the better. Have one run in the North, Glasgow, Edinburgh or Berwick One in the south Oxford, Poole or Birmingham Then stick the final in BV
  5. Arnie I genuinely want to know what Absolute Walloper came up with the playoff plan this year, now don't get me wrong I think the mini leagues thing is an outstanding idea. But basically giving 1st place to decide the teams their going to face, leaving 2nd 3rd and 4th in a pointless limbo is beyond. Surely it should've been 1st place gets the 1st pick, 2nd gets the 2nd pick back to 1st for their final playoff league opposition with the remaining team going into the 2nd finishes league. When it comes to any decision are they QA'ing them at all or just going "f it that'll work"?
  6. Fingers crossed the weather stays good, forecast is for rain early morning then to clear up. Another important meeting with Glasgow wanting to maintain their spot in the league and vital for the Plymouth riders to get some track time together and try and move off the bottoms spot.
  7. Is wimborne road used for anything else? I know they've said after 2024 they don't know where they'll be, surely with the Fords backing they could buy land and build their own stadium?
  8. Sounds like a great place to visit, would love to see the tough man/woman/toaster come to Glasgow and start throwing rocks at kids. On the why it's so well attended front, what competition do you have for punters in Poole? Poole Town football team?? (12th league in British football),
  9. What's this on the socials? "Allegedly Poole fans throwing rocks at away fan supporters. Surely can't be true.
  10. I think the total pass count not including engine failures was three, Anders heat two, and Cook heat 14. Oh and Anders passed his own team mate so maybe 4.
  11. Got to be a team that can take 16 points down to wimborne road or don't bother.
  12. Who's better at six Newman or Rowe? Cause if the goal is to keep Anders there for the playoffs he probably hasn't got the message yet.
  13. Funny when they were talking about it before on the stream
  14. If we don't watch it then we'd be stuck with Love Island or whatever crap the better half would want to watch.
  15. Just doing the passing count and wanted to confirm, in Poole do you count passing team mates? And do you count passing those with engine failures? If not we're on one, which was Anders passing Heeps in heat 2.
  16. I've got a pot of paint ready and a blank wall in case it goes that way.
  17. Never in my speedwaying life have I heard the phrase "thixotropic", with a now 23 year engineering background, every day appears to be a school day. On the "why's everyone complaining about it" People have paid a lot of money to get to the Speedway, spent a lot on accomodation food etc, paid to get in and sit there until 1945 (45 mins after tapes were scheduled to go up) and then had their evenings ruined. BSN have paid good money to get set up, sold streams, got the commentators in place, only to have to refund all the streams. How much money did they lose last night? If you go to a restaurant that's rubbish do you leave a good review, if you go to a theme park that's dog poop do you tell all your friends it was great?? No you don't you tell people the truth. Does any single person on here want Plymouth to close for 2024?? Of course they don't, but if you want to come to the party you have to BYOB and at the moment from the outside it looks like Plymouth have turned up with a plastic bag with some Tesco's value larger and a bag of everyday value mixed crisps.
  18. Few people have said it's going to be a gate and bore fest, but at least Sam Masters, Scotty and Lewi can gate. The only down side tonight is that it's not on the telly till 7 so I'll have to socialise with the family till then.
  19. 100% Roynon never made it to a 4 average and he isn't going to after having 3 X 0's at Glasgow, so while "noone wants to see an injured rider" Couldn't have happened at a better time for Poole, they have the pick of the two pointers, I'm assuming if Nathan goes well tonight he'll be the home fill in and on the road it'll depend on where they're at, Sam Hagon maybes?? Lee complin again.
  20. What's the chances we see Roynon racing again before the playoffs?
  21. Averages mean diddly squat Mr Skidder, a #6 on a 5.3 is nowhere near a #2 on 5.3. It's based over 20 eligible meetings which means for those with a lengthy record (Roynon) need to bomb big style to get their average down. Ablitts average was generated by your lot using him as a sacrificial lamb, never giving him heat 8 and reserve switching his heat 12. So out of his 3 heats that he was allowed to do he faced the oppositions number 7......... Once. Bearing in mind he was one of very few 2 pointers racing last season. After what you did to him he didn't get a ride for 23 when every team was looking for a 2 pointer. Luckily he's at Scunthorpe and what i've seen of him on BSN and the u21's is far improved and the boys beaming with confidence.
  22. Hoping for a good meeting tonight, Poole strengthened with a well performing Ablitt at reserve, will be interesting to see how Poole use his abilities tonight and wether he gets his heat 8 and 12.
