  1. Ah shame. Would have loved to see the Rockets back.
  2. Neither Pawlicki has been good enough to warrant a wildcard in my opinion, much stronger Polish prospects that deserve a pick ahead of them (Kubera, Kolodziej, etc.). I presume they'll want at least three Poles in the series, so one pick will definitely go to them, unless Dudek or Janowski get given another chance. It's extremely unlikely Przemyslaw Pawlicki will get a spot from the challenge as it'll require Doyle (unlikely), Vaculik (almost definitely) and Lambert (likely) all making top six.
  3. Dariusz Sledz seemed to hint that Woffinden would be back on Sunday, so presume Bailey won't be needed by Wroclaw.
  4. As you say it's hard to see past Connor Bailey on his home track. He's been pretty dominant. Jordan Jenkins has been the class act of the league, though, but not sure he's ever ridden the track (?), so that will work against him. Alfie Bowtell always seems to go well at Workington as well, one of the few riders to have beaten Bailey more than once. They are the three most likely in my opinion.
  5. Nick Morris, Richie Worrall and Steve Boxall all planned to race did they not? I very much doubt they were planning on admitting having drugs in their system if they hadn't failed a test.
  6. The simple fact numerous riders (this season alone) have been caught trying to ride while intoxicated shows that some people shouldn't make their own decisions.
  7. Argh, I was about to say Martin Dixon. One guess at a time lads!
  8. That's the one I thought we were trying to get....honest!
  9. @TheWellBehavedWorrall the above might help answer the question if it's still a mystery.
  10. One is nice and one is not. Can you guess which is which?
  11. He would be banned by the PZM (for 28 days I presume), which would also be honoured in Britain, Sweden and Denmark as per the agreement that was signed in October 2022. If he raced for Redcar instead of Wroclaw on Sunday, he would have received said ban. I can't understand why you keep thinking Charles could have broken this agreement? Yes Charles chased the money by signing for Wroclaw in the first place, but he wouldn't have known Redcar would suddenly stage a meeting on a Sunday (it was rearranged after the contract was signed). Once both of those things had happened, he had no choice. He could have ignored Wroclaw and raced in a meaningless meeting for Redcar, but would then be banned for their entire playoff campaign.
  12. Okay, so according to your logic, Charles' Redcar contract will go against what the BSPA have agreed with PGE Ekstraliga? It will somehow state it's okay to break the rules? Give me strength. It's not hearsay when it's a fact! Let me try it another way, with some questions... 1) Do Poland have a priority on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays? YES 2) Does Charles Wright have a contract with both Wroclaw and Redcar? YES 3) Can Charles Wright decide to race for Redcar on a Sunday, when Wroclaw are also competing? NO, BECAUSE POLAND HAVE PRIORITY 4) If Charles Wright decides to race for Redcar instead of Wroclaw on a Sunday will be be banned? YES, BECAUSE POLAND HAVE PRIORITY 5) Is there any way Charles could have raced for Redcar without getting a ban? YES, WROCLAW WOULD HAVE TO AGREE TO RELEASE HIM Do you disagree with any of those answers?
  13. Yes, but it's also common knowledge. You can simply Google it to find your answer. Are you really trying to argue that Poland doesn't have priority on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays?
  14. Mine isn't a view, it's a fact. That's the difference.
  15. Of course it's different. His contract for Redcar will state that POLAND HAS PRIORITY ON SUNDAYS (and Thursdays), so if the Bears race on that day - and Charles is signed for Polish team - he will race in Poland and not for Redcar. I know you don't agree with it, but that's the rule FOR EVERYBODY. About ten different people have tried to explain this over the past few days, myself included. Can you please tell us which bit you don't understand?
  16. Public opinion or your opinion? As you've admitted, you're the only one who has brought it up out of the 100s of people who use this forum. Shouldn't that tell you something?
  17. While I get what you're saying, it wasn't exactly more than anyone could have imagined. The score (38-34) was exactly the same when Glasgow met them in the league earlier in the year, and the Tigers ended up losing 52-38 on that occasion. Oxford's bread and butter tends to be heats 13, 14 and 15...there have been many times this season where they have pulled away in the last three heats, which is only natural when Masters and Nicholls tend to be out together in two of them. They are very good together at Sandy Lane - although I will accept Glasgow with Harris and Basso/Tarasenko are tougher opponents than most. Would Glasgow fans have been happy with a 10-point advantage at the start of the meeting, it's hard to say, guess you can answer that better than me? 100% agree the return leg will be spectacular, especially as I can easily see it all coming down to that bonus point to see who gets to the final.
  18. Enough to take the bonus point of course, which could be crucial. Given the likely outcome of the other matches (you would expect both teams to beat a Charles Wright-less Redcar at home), it’s going to come down to the Redcar away matches and the battle for the bonus points.
  19. Another cracking meeting. Crowd was decent in the end (a lot of people must have left it late to get in), and they weren’t disappointed. Heats 13 and 15 have been big advantages for Oxford all season at Sandy Lane, and it proved to be the case again. But is a 10-point lead enough? My heart says yes, but my head says no.
  20. Not many Oxford supporters either. This has strangely got to be the smallest crowd of the season! I was expecting the exact opposite.
  21. You're like a broken record.... you're definitely not jealous, right?
