  1. You'd take Poole (most likely) getting knocked out and Scunthorpe making the final? Strange logic from a Poole fan.
  2. Given Kerr's familiarity with the Redcar track and the fact Howarth and Basso both had five rides in that meeting, yes I'd expect Kerr and Nicholls to slightly outscore 20 points from 10 rides if comes down to that - especially with Wright not being in Redcar's line-up. Howarth also failed to beat an opposition heat leader on that occasion (bar Riss retiring twice), so he surely makes Redcar weaker than having Wright in the side in my opinion. Not saying Oxford are necessarily going to win, but it should be a close run thing.
  3. A big meeting in the playoffs. Kyle Howarth replaces Charles Wright for Redcar and Luke Harrison guesting again - otherwise both teams are full strength. Redcar won 48-42 in the league in July, although Oxford were missing Lewis Kerr and Scott Nicholls on that occasion. Ashton Boughen also in for Ryan Kinsley since then, so you'd think it might be a close one (especially with the loss of Charles for the Bears). Redcar: 1 Danny King, 2 Danyon Hume, 3 Connor Bailey, 4 Kyle Howarth (guest), 5 Erik Riss, 6 Jason Edwards, 7 Luke Harrison (guest). Oxford: 1 Sam Masters, 2 Cameron Heeps, 3 Lewis Kerr, 4 Jordan Jenkins, 5 Scott Nicholls, 6 Henry Atkins, 7 Ashton Boughen.
  4. Based on three things I would think... 1) They are not riding in the Grand Prix series, so have more free time. 2) The Polish Ektrasliga relaxing their rules, and allowing GP stars to ride in more than one other country. 3) Money. They earned next to nothing while they were banned from riding everywhere (bar Russia), so want to top up their bank accounts. Also Swedish speedway is struggling financially, so doubt they could earn the money they used to over there even if they were allowed to ride.
  5. Good God. Not sure they could even come up with that in Hollywood. What a shambles.
  6. I guess it might be a case of it’s already in such a bad state that they can safely call it off early? Or the exact opposite and it’s in a such a good state that it should be able to cope with some rain tomorrow - although I doubt it. Your guess is as good as mine, really.
  7. Wasn't there a rumour about Weston-super-Mare at some point last year.
  8. The weather forecast looks a bit bleak for this, but there's a track inspection at 7pm tonight for those thinking of traveling/buying tickets ahead of tomorrow's price increase.
  9. Ah shame. Would have loved to see the Rockets back.
  10. Neither Pawlicki has been good enough to warrant a wildcard in my opinion, much stronger Polish prospects that deserve a pick ahead of them (Kubera, Kolodziej, etc.). I presume they'll want at least three Poles in the series, so one pick will definitely go to them, unless Dudek or Janowski get given another chance. It's extremely unlikely Przemyslaw Pawlicki will get a spot from the challenge as it'll require Doyle (unlikely), Vaculik (almost definitely) and Lambert (likely) all making top six.
  11. Dariusz Sledz seemed to hint that Woffinden would be back on Sunday, so presume Bailey won't be needed by Wroclaw.
  12. As you say it's hard to see past Connor Bailey on his home track. He's been pretty dominant. Jordan Jenkins has been the class act of the league, though, but not sure he's ever ridden the track (?), so that will work against him. Alfie Bowtell always seems to go well at Workington as well, one of the few riders to have beaten Bailey more than once. They are the three most likely in my opinion.
  13. Nick Morris, Richie Worrall and Steve Boxall all planned to race did they not? I very much doubt they were planning on admitting having drugs in their system if they hadn't failed a test.
  14. The simple fact numerous riders (this season alone) have been caught trying to ride while intoxicated shows that some people shouldn't make their own decisions.
  15. Argh, I was about to say Martin Dixon. One guess at a time lads!
  16. That's the one I thought we were trying to get....honest!
  17. @TheWellBehavedWorrall the above might help answer the question if it's still a mystery.
  18. One is nice and one is not. Can you guess which is which?
  19. He would be banned by the PZM (for 28 days I presume), which would also be honoured in Britain, Sweden and Denmark as per the agreement that was signed in October 2022. If he raced for Redcar instead of Wroclaw on Sunday, he would have received said ban. I can't understand why you keep thinking Charles could have broken this agreement? Yes Charles chased the money by signing for Wroclaw in the first place, but he wouldn't have known Redcar would suddenly stage a meeting on a Sunday (it was rearranged after the contract was signed). Once both of those things had happened, he had no choice. He could have ignored Wroclaw and raced in a meaningless meeting for Redcar, but would then be banned for their entire playoff campaign.
  20. Okay, so according to your logic, Charles' Redcar contract will go against what the BSPA have agreed with PGE Ekstraliga? It will somehow state it's okay to break the rules? Give me strength. It's not hearsay when it's a fact! Let me try it another way, with some questions... 1) Do Poland have a priority on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays? YES 2) Does Charles Wright have a contract with both Wroclaw and Redcar? YES 3) Can Charles Wright decide to race for Redcar on a Sunday, when Wroclaw are also competing? NO, BECAUSE POLAND HAVE PRIORITY 4) If Charles Wright decides to race for Redcar instead of Wroclaw on a Sunday will be be banned? YES, BECAUSE POLAND HAVE PRIORITY 5) Is there any way Charles could have raced for Redcar without getting a ban? YES, WROCLAW WOULD HAVE TO AGREE TO RELEASE HIM Do you disagree with any of those answers?
  21. Yes, but it's also common knowledge. You can simply Google it to find your answer. Are you really trying to argue that Poland doesn't have priority on Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays?
