Thoughts on the Oxford team for 2024? Ashton Boughen has already confirmed he will be racing for Oxford next year, and Peter Schroeck seemed to suggest Luke Killeen would be back in 2024 after being dropped for Boughen this season. Seems like they've got a lot invested in Henry Atkins and Jordan Jenkins as well, so can't see either of them leaving. It's the top end of the team that's more uncertain. Lewis Kerr won't be coming back, could Scott Nicholls retire, and will Sam Masters still race in the Championship with the (rumoured) lower points limit? I'd be surprised if Heeps is back, but also said that last year.

To quote the Norwegian dude after they beat England 2-1... It is unbelievable! Glasgow have beaten Poole! Poole - the home of giants. Skidder. lisa-colette. lbw. foreverblue. Arthur54. Glasgow has beaten them all! Steve Shovlar can you hear me? Glasgow have a message for you. Glasgow have beaten Poole in the playoffs. Steve Shovlar, as they say in your language in the boxing bars around Madison Square Garden in New York: "Your boys took a hell of a beating!" Your boys took a hell of a beating!

It may not be an exciting meeting, but….for some reason, I’m enjoying it. Wonder why? -
True. There has to be some incentive for these teams to continue in the NDL - threatening them with fines and revoked licences certainly isn’t it. They need to work together for a brighter future.

See below. I don't want anything to happen to him. I've had my run ins with Geoff in the past, but decided against 'sorting him out' like most civilised people would. -
I don't know why the NDL needs a certain amount of teams to make it work. Surely it only realistically needs four teams...and they race each other four times. It's all about the kids after all isn't it? At least it should be! Would be a big loss without having a competitive league for some of these kids to race in. There's no doubts the likes of Ashton Boughen, Luke Harrison, Max Perry et al. have benefited from the league.

That side were the only ones (so far) to beat Poole over two legs this year. Let's hope that's still not the case come the end of the season. -

Interesting. I would have thought that didn't make sense from a commercial point of view, but we shall see. -

So Poole will call off their home meeting on Wednesday? Even if it's bone dry? A meeting they've already sold tickets for? Or will they make Glasgow race in the rain? -

Glasgow Vs Oxford play offs 26/9/23

Problem is, with your normal grasp of the English language, nobody could tell if it was a joke or if it was you just spelling it wrong again! -
Then just don't say anything. There's nothing more annoying than somebody saying that they know, but they're not going to tell - even worse when they also can't say the reason they aren't going tell. I expect that sort of behavior in a playground. Maybe you've got some sort of God complex and want us to beg you for your precious information?

SGP venues for 2024
Bojangles replied to 1Tsunami's topic in Speedway Grand Prix and Speedway World Cup
I mentioned this on another thread, but Sportowe Fakty have an interview with Jorge Viegas. It's translated, but he talks about the following... Can fans expect any changes to the Grand Prix series for next season? Nothing has been confirmed yet, but I can assure you that the promoter is doing everything possible to bring the Grand Prix back to Australia next year. This is another such assurance, but nothing has come of it yet. Are there any other possible directions for the expansion of the Speedway World Championships? We are constantly monitoring the development of speedway in Argentina and want the cycle to expand to other continents. I think this will happen in the future. So how many tournaments are planned next year? In my opinion, in the future we should do everything possible to have 12 tournaments. The number of rounds in the next season depends primarily on whether it will be possible to organize the competition in Australia. I am in constant contact with the promoter and I know that he is working very hard on it. At this stage, I can only assure you that within a month all matters should be clarified and we should know the exact calendar for the next year.
