  1. If Chris Louis is saying this team is exciting I wonder if he's bringing in another 4.00 international rider, maybe then with Ellis at no.4 as well as the other usual suspects? Jonas Seifert-Salk (ideally) Francis Gusts Philip Hellstrom Bangs Dimitri Berge (on his old UK average) Am I being too optimistic!?!
  2. 1. Emil Sayfutdinov 10.10 2. Simon Lambert 4.66 [4.78] 3. Danny KIng 7.05 [7.23] 4. Patryk Wojdylo 5.00 5. Jason Doyle 9.12 6. Keynan Rew 4.00 7. Dan Thompson RS With Lambert definetly not at King's Lynn next year I feel this is possible
  3. This is the best I could do with Doyle and Sayfutdinov and Rew at reserve: 1. Sayfutinov 10.10 2. Riss 4.84 3. Brennan 5.87 (6.02) 4. Wojdylo 5.00 5. Doyle 9.12 6. Rew 4.00 7. Dan Thompson RS Total: 38.97 Brennan has been very good at Foxhall in his last few outings so I think will cope at number 3 at home
  4. I will say it was a very entertaining season, obviously Doyle and Sayfutdinov being the highlights, while I think this will be Hume's last season in the premiership for a while his determination and occasionally beating a big name was also great. The Ipswich management will have to wonder why a team with 2 of the best riders in the world has failed to make the playoffs. I think the main reason is still the rising stars. Failing to sign Kemp ( or Rowe) when the had 2 clear opportunities to do so has cost them and it was Kemp who scored 11+1 last night who has got the Lions into the playoffs. In the end we should be thankful we have a team to support and they have won a good number of meetings this season.
  5. Are Ipswich's playoff hopes still alive with Leicester's loss today and Peterbrough getting Laguta?
  6. Heat 12 is pretty much a season decider, will king bottle it?
  7. I think if Ipswich win all the rest of their meetings the most likely team they can beat to the playoffs is Wolverhampton at the moment. I think Leicester and Sheffield will be safe on current form even if they don't complete all of their meetings. Ipswich will go onto 36 points if they win all their meetings. Wolves remaining meetings and predicted points: Leicester (A) 0 ; Ipswich (H) 0 ; Sheffield (A) 0 ; Sheffield (H) 2 ; Peterborough (A) 3 ; Leicester (H) 2 ; Sheffield (A) 0 I think this is a pretty plausible set of results and would put Wolverhampton on 36 too. I don't know what the situation is with teams on the same points, but if Peterborough get a surprise win or Leicester or Sheffield win away it would mean Ipswich qualify.
  8. He is a real question mark for Ipswich, if he is able to come back to form next season then he is a steal on likely a 5 or lower average.
  9. I think a possible skeleton team should include Sayfutinov at number 1 and Rew and D. Thomson at reserve, however much I love Doyle we may have to let him go so we have more strength in the mid team. That's if Sayfutinov wants to stay!
  10. I don't really understand your hatred for Danny King, he has had absolutely no support from Riss in recent weeks so whenever he has a poor ride it is always a 5-1. I feel you expect him to ride at Sayfutinov level every week which is unrealistic and his average has improved despite the premiership being a higher level imo this year. The reason Ipswich lost is Riss.
  11. What worries me about Tatum is he seems to barely do any research before the meeting. When the riders come on he either says they're experienced or young and says their year has been going well. A main commentator is needed to be added and Tatum can be the analyst
  12. I listened to Lee Colemans views on the situation and I think his idea to remove intervals, have more lap of honours and more entertainment in grading breaks is a good start. Possible structure: Before meeting: Junior riders doing some warm up or even a few races Heat 4-5 break: Interview with some crowd members, possibly some planned Heat 7-8 break: Some sort of game on centre green, if possible speedway related. E.g. get a few guys from crowd and some tired speedway tires, see who can get the most tires from one place to the other in one minute. Winner gets a rider shirt/hat Heat 11-12 break: Rider/team manager interviews After meeting: Winning team go round the track together and possibly some more practice rides from juniors In all other heats I think a general speedier turn around between heats would help.
  13. It's a must win for Ipswich and they need to set themselves up to get the aggregate point as well if they want the playoffs. I find the line up odd, it puts the pressure on Keynan and Danny, surely Keynan at 2 would've worked better
  14. They need to get a main commentator in, Kelvin is a great analyst but is not quite good enough to be the main man. Also, whenever they throw down to the pits for an interview nothings ready and Abi interviewed Laguta who's English wasn't great and has interviewed someone who's going out in the next heat before!
  15. Unfortunately I think Ipswich needs to part ways with Riss, he shouldn't really be riding anyway as his vision is blurry and he could take more time off if it worsens. Possible Replacements Batchelor (5.57) for Riss S.Lambert (I think around 3.30) for Rew This would put us at 38.77 average with the rolling GSAs Replacing Riss on his own we'd have to replace him with a rider with 5.10 or lower
  16. Would danyon's 25% reduction and Danny's 5% still be taken into account if we were to get some new riders in?
  17. It's a worry either way, if they're specifically avoiding Kemp and Rowe that's ridiculous and makes no sense to me. If Kemp and Rowe don't want to ride that shows that Ipswich is not a good environment for rising stars
  18. Good that for Monday Rew is at reserve, he should do really well at that position and if Danyon only has 4 rides his arm pump issues hopefully won't affect him as much
  19. I think it'll be the 14th of June when the 28 days are complete so Riss should be in the team away against Sheffield (he will be needed!)
  20. The issue is with Riss possibly healthy and coming back into the team we are likely to be way over the points limit especially with Rew only going down to 4.00. Joe is out of his depth unfortunately at this stage of his career, Kemp should replace him after tonight's performance or if they still don't want him in the team Connor Bailey will do.That is all we can do unless we change the whole team!
  21. If Barker doesn't work out and Riss isn't able to recover quickly, is Knudsen a possibility from Berwick? Average is around 6 (not official yet) but he has had a few good results in the BSN series. I'm guessing CL wouldn't know who he is anyways!
  22. I still think Kemp will be a bit better than Bailey in the long run as he's been scoring well in Poland. However, Ipswich seem to be reluctant to sign Kemp for whatever reason so Bailey makes sense. I feel Ablitt will be the same situation as Joe, not ready for the premiership yet.
  23. Exactly, he's in the UK now so must be interested in racing in the Premiership and was good at Scunthorpe tonight. We have to snap him up before Belle Vue swoop in! Signing him will also help Danyon who has been taking so many rides of late.
  24. I find this unlikely the Polish 3rd division is probably just above championship quality (top riders being Kildemand, Thorsell and Douglas) so he'd want to ride in the premiership as its a better quality. I can understand why he'd reject a championship side if it wasn't the right amount of money. Drew scored 9 yesterday and 9+1 a couple of weeks ago in Poland. Average is 6.8 ish, he will be better than Joe me thinks.
  25. I completely agree and hopefully they keep him in some capacity. I think Anders is the best option, will likely say yes as is already racing for Poole and looked a consistent reserve when guesting for Belle Vue. Drew Kemp is obviously good and has been doing well in Poland but he might/already has said no. Connor Bailey is possible and has had some improved championship performances recently but doesn't have the talent of the other 2 yet.
