  1. It never stopped me following the the” robins”from 2007 it was the last thing on my mind, I was just happy to have speedway close by after Oxford closed. perhaps they should be called Oxford Morris men
  2. So was “robins” to be fair but that didn’t stop people watching them
  3. I am sure the Swindon fans would take any of those names just to have their team back. As far as not going because of a name you’re the one losing out, never heard anything like it !
  4. Agree, but it should be accompanied by an adult as at Oxford where it has been very successful
  5. If you’re from Poole you most definitely do
  6. But you can’t always get what you want !
  7. Or did they just go into exile on Main Street ?
  8. No problem, You can see how important Osbournes evidence was to Brandon estates appeal and a missed opportunity from the other side in questioning it, but as they say water under the bridge
  9. https://www.rugby.gov.uk/documents/d/guest/16-3-2__proof_of_evidence_cao_final-pdf?download=true what is this then , I thought you followed the enquiry ?
  10. His figures were from Swindon and Poole where he was owner and leaseholder respectively and were supplied by both incumbent promoters tr and mf also unlike b.e brief on scs and Stox figures nobody from their side challenged those figures so must have felt they were accurate
  11. Osbourne gave evidence with facts to prove his figures and in a professional manner, unfortunately anything else surrounding him will not be taken into account( mores the pity) therefore Brandon estates will be more than happy with his performance. As I said before we all must hope that the appeal fails on the planning arguments and Scs and Stox are given a chance to get back into the stadium.
  12. Update on the Latest from Swindon for anyone with an interest. https://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/news/23951526.homes-built-former-swindon-speedway-stadium-car-park/
  13. Correct, I said as much myself earlier in this thread.
  14. Well said, I am sure Phil Morris would give a passionate summary to the proceedings. I hope you are right about refusal as that would be great early present to all the fans of clubs that have recently folded in similar circumstances
  15. Whether he reads it or not(there are plenty on here who do support him), he should be applauded for putting his money where his mouth is.it will now be up to the good folk of Brum and beyond to come out and support their team and make sure that effort is paid back
  16. He’s looking to pass the buck me thinks
  17. I hope Mr Humpries for Scs does a better job summing up than he has done previously.
  18. When Matt ford gave his evidence at the Brandon planning enquiry he definitely didn’t sound like someone who was disillusioned with the sport at all, rather the opposite
  19. I think as has been said it smooths the way for osbourne as he continues on with his plans, if a new promotion came along to soon it may become a bit uncomfortable for him.Don’t forget el tel has already been paid off anyway
  20. Sometimes the landlord/stadium owner requires it though
  21. You would probably enjoy it even more at Cowley now as the promoter grades the track then comes out on the bowser insisting on doing it all himself so the breaks are doubled such fun.
  22. This information was provided on another thread in September 2022 I think all at Swindon are aware of it by now
  23. Orion has been right on this since day one and nothing has changed to make anybody believe that this is anything more than a sick joke to prolong the agony
