  1. You do talk Cobblers the problem is with people like you despite living close to Scunthorpe speedway you have never been yet recognise the good stuff on couple of clips that another poster put up on this forum. You are not interested in today’s speedway as you have clearly stated previously.Perhaps you should stick to recalling the good old days when everything was perfect.
  2. Agreed with more venues in the firing line and even those in the middle of countryside can soon be swallowed up so people I suggest you enjoy what you have now as it could soon be gone
  3. It’s the happy clappers that are the lifeblood of all clubs as they pay the wages after all.No happy clappers no speedway
  4. Where have you been, No longer enough stadia, riders or promoters and fans like you for any of that. The term shoe repairers comes to mind
  5. There is no harm in ambition but the changes that have to paid for and you fans need to support the promotion and team before it’s to. Late imo
  6. Gone are the days when there will be any gates to add to
  7. A few years ago I would have disagreed with that but now with the few teams that remain the crowd levels I think it’s the best from what I have seen but will there be enough rider of that std to go round?
  8. My issue is riders of novice std missing league or other domestic meetings not with riding abroad per say.just to be clear
  9. Yeh for sure but the riders Iam referring to are novices who when put in to a champ team struggle to beat their opposites and missing domestic fixtures just to race against others of similar std does nothing for them other than cost money and I’ve witnessed a couple of said riders this season a couldn’t beat an egg .Someone mentioned Gordon Kennett would I be correct in thinking he was already a proven performer hl before going down under in the close season with no loss to domestic speedway
  10. I agree these riders would benefit from improving in our leagues rather than heading overseas in Micky mouse international tournaments invented often to the detriment of domestic racing before they are able to hold there own in our lower leagues
  11. Of course he is he’s the original positive negative man
  12. That’s why I thought there were only a handful as I never heard them at all not like those Plymouth fans or Redcar previously. Poole are only noisy when they are winning.
  13. Not more than a handful I would suggest and very subdued not like the old days of the happy clappers
  14. Just got back from sandy lane Steve shovlar, middlo,Danny Ford your boys took one hell of a beating henry Atkins star of the show again
  15. I think that’s their thinking but if the stream cost nearer to the admission fee then maybe it would work for them especially for the far northern tracks anyway.
  16. I think they only ever streamed one meeting at the start of last season with roscoe and Kilby as commentators
  17. I think batch will be fine at home for you as he has had some good scores around perry barr and linking up with Morris again can only be a positive.Remember to bring in the fans you have to win at home
  18. He certainly was for me especially after his first ride when the track looked a bit patchy
  19. Came up for this match welcomed on the door by promoter who thanked us for coming. He then proceeded to honestly explain to the fans that the management team were not happy with things and changes would be made shortly. I think you have a good set up at brum (last time I visited was 2012 Swindon ) when I think of all the work put in over the years to secure a venue I think it’s time if you do care about your team then return and watch each week then the club Iam sure will invest and improve otherwise it will be the end of the line just my opinion
