  1. Clearly someone like you believes at face value what you read where as I said I prefer the facts. You got one who said on another topic: ”I have to say that moving away from Oxford some 17 plus years ago I haven't been to a speedway since” commenting on this very topic but could not recall it. Another flip flop who was prepared to castigate me for buying tickets in advance and dare to suggest that £1.00 increase is not a £1.00 but had obviously forgotten his previous posts on another topic: “ If the new £20 ticket price does include the booking fee, it's only a £1 increase over last season (£18+£1) - that's not too bad considering the current circumstances.”and” I normally buy mine as soon as they go on sale”so in advance then! I would question if you are not also one of those above who actually attends speedway now certainly not at Oxford if anywhere because to be moaning about a quid is pathetic especially when there was no speedway at Cowley for 14 years and without a huge effort from various people, some who post on here there still wouldn't
  2. Since you brought it up are you sure Steve ? ”I have to say that moving away from Oxford some 17 plus years ago I haven't been to a speedway since as the nearest, I guess, would be Sheffield (?). I would expect more than just 15 heats (?) for my money and when i would have to take into account petrol costs (especially nowadays) it just doesn't add up for me.“ posted in 2022. Maths ain’t my strong point( or yours apparently) but 2022-17years =2005
  3. But you said you didn’t on the other topic which is it flip flop ?
  4. Wow you’ve changed your mind mr. Should change your Monika to flip flop
  5. For example one who keeps whooping at your comments all the time and you his who last watched Oxford in 2005 fact ask him
  6. The fact is they no longer go to speedway and have commented on This Topic frequently even more than you. Typical of you to believe otherwise
  7. I am sure if you contact or speak to the promotor when the season starts along with the others on here then you will get an answer. I have just received an email offering me a refund or move to rearranged fixture all very prompt
  8. Yes but the only way you can change the system is to contact the owners Not appealing to the army of ex fans who wouldn’t attend even if it was free
  9. My opinion yes but just as valid as yours and you believe is right. There are plenty of people who no longer go to speedway on the forum just look at the post above that eludes to the same.
  10. You hate to say it because someone has a different view to you
  11. No issues but it’s the same old suspects who no longer attend speedway anywhere I expect
  12. This debate was had weeks ago but has yet again been brought back by the usual suspects
  13. You are debating it with people who have no intention of going whether they accept cash, card, advance or even bitcoin.
  14. I live 48 miles away from Oxford similar to you but last year always bought in advance to save the hassle. As I pointed out before the people that are debating this on here have no intention of attending for a variety of reasons. By the way my disposable income is none of your business and I will save some of it buying tickets in advance for £1.00 extra
  15. No I will not be worrying it, As you say Oxford was a huge success despite not running for 14 years and the crowd was made up of all demographics I hope that those who attended last year still turn up and I don’t really think £1.00 increase will put them off.
  16. Free for any accompanied kids regardless of age what about Poole !
  17. Correct but last season you paid in advance so like for like it’s a quid I can’t believe we are still debating this as it’s pointless you either pay in advance on the day or not at all !
  18. Yes but as been said before it’s only £1.00 increase on last season( inc booking fee) and crowds were good.time will tell however and Iam sure they will take notice. Also don’t forget the free car parking and bus in your calculations
  19. As you know if everyone of the disgruntled contact the stadium instead of the odd one or two then you may get movement But as it’s the usual suspects complaining about this on here some whom would not attend even if they accepted cash at the gate.
  20. There’s a post about this already in general discussions
  21. That’s right Steve but as long as it does continue then there is still a chance however slim of a return of the Robins and I guess everyone on the forum would welcome that.
