  1. Yes but you have to admit that gloatlys methodical approach compared to that of Humphrey’s will have made it easier for her to understand and come to a conclusion on the stadium aspect
  2. Agree,I said as much yesterday Osbourne did his job none of it was properly challenged .Result will have to rely on the other criteria set not being met imo
  3. No osbourne is not Brandon estates that is a guy called John Downer
  4. Come on how far back do you need to go 24 years is plenty I think.you’re in danger of heading down memory lane like someone else I know
  5. He said all stadium operators know or should know those figures also he was not pressed on that by Humphrey’s also when talking about Oxford he said he had not been since reopening so how could he comment on their attendance figures also not referred to by Scs advocate likewise Kevin boothbys submission was not referred to. A very poor effort from mr Humphrey’s overall imo
  6. I think you will find that they are fully aware of Osborne and the fact that the council still own the stadium is in there favour
  7. Clark osbourne Brandon estates star witness who would have thought it He alone has proved that the scs proposal and stadium in unviable and therefore surplus to requirements
  8. Humphries.and I wouldn’t hold your breath on that
  9. To make Swindon more profitable of course
  10. Yeh but Terry Russell told him it wasn’t didn’t he ?
  11. Shame that the scs man never picked up that the figures were also included in evidence submitted by Kevin Boothby who does have experience of running a stadium
  12. To all you critics of Matt I thought he did a good job and why would he disclose what he pays to osbourne that’s for osbourne to answer
  13. Goatly suggests there is no figures other than what Matt said he got from Oxford and no document to prove it what about the letter submitted by kevin boothby our side missed that
  14. I think gaming plan was to shut stadium and blame covid but council forced them to finally stick to conditions gaming hate speedway Osborne has been trying since 2008 to get rid of it.All land has been sold off except land stadium sits on.
  15. Swindon situation as far as I know is that planning deemed that before the final phase of house building on the former east car park Could start the new stadium had to be erected. Gaming int had exchanged contracts with Taylor wimpey earlier in 2022 but unless they commenced rebuild then no houses could be built.I believe it was osbournes intension not to build the stadium but the council and the mp were making it difficult for him at last. The announcement of the loss of speedway came in September with the spoof venture of swindon motorsports being announced. The conditions for the new speedway stadium not only included acoustic barrier but monitoring equipment would have to be located adjacent to various properties at certain times and results fed back to council also the car parking situation during and after rebuild would be almost non existent and with a former park and ride location nearby now home to amazon vehicles would not be of any use now. With new housing that has been built since 2019 in close proximity both sides of lady lane the residents would no doubt be up in arms if 300 + cars were being parked randomly in there streets. I believe therefore that Terry Russell and Co were encouraged to give up their tenure with little prospect of the stadium being completed in another two years(demolition of old stands etc) and all the potential restrictions as above allowing Osborne to conclude that speedway walked away. To give the spoof company credibility therefore required him (Russell)to use his influence to get his licence put on ice. To conclude I don’t think there is any chance of speedway returning to the Abbey in the near future imo
  16. Not quite the same though. The Cradley group had nothing to do with the loss of the heathens track or stadium so have nothing to gain financially at present( if ever) whereas the One in Swindon were as you know directly responsible for the demise of the Robins and are actively trying there best to do scupper any chance of a Coventry revival Greedy scumbags .
  17. David Carter is a chartered town planner( and as naffer says member of stox). The gov inspector acknowledged this pointing out for fairness that they had never met before he gave his evidence.
  18. Speedway star says new company formed to explore sites around Cradley so probably not next year
  19. Well done Oxford 14 points down and win by 4 great team effort.
  20. I think it was interesting when he was asked about a business plan for said 3G pitch his answer was not available until the intended operator was appointed should that not be the answer from our side as they( goatly )keeps digging about these matters
