Even what Oxford have done this year, getting riders and a bike around the town is a damn sight more than the so called elite clubs in the Premiership have accomplished.

If you actually follow international economics, you would see that Poland is due to overtake the UK in the next few years. And in response to your comment, Poland isn't suffering as much of a financial crisis as the UK. Housing prices are reasonable, inflation is low, interest rates are low etc etc the list goes on. Therefore, more disposable income available. Here, people have to make a choice - eat, bills etc - or go to speedway. Theres only one winner. All I'm saying is if entrance fees are lower, at least you're making an effort and showing initiative to try and get more fans in. Take Lynn for example, you pay £22 entrance, you're then obliged to pay £2 if you want to sit and another £3 if you wish for a programme. £27 before you've even considered a drink or something to eat... that doesn't scream value for money to me. You're effectively paying £2 a race... Which to me does look steep.

For me, the stumbling block to getting more fans through the gate (which is the only way clubs will survive is the entrance fee). £22 to watch 15 minutes of actual "racing" just doesn't offer value for money for the paying customer. I will continue to use Poland as a comparison, which I understand the cost of living is currently lower. £10-£15 is a much better value for proposition for the paying customer and yes I'm aware sponsors front up a lot £, but would the sponsors do that if the clubs didn't get fans bums on seats? I don't understand why clubs can't trial it for 1 meeting, reducing the entrance fee to see if it attracts more crowd through the gate. Take King's Lynn Vs Ipswich coming up in August, that will be Lynn's biggest gate of the year, but if a ticket cost £15 for example imagine how many more fans might be enticed. The same for any derby match so to speak If the trial doesn't work at least you've chose a meeting where you're already expecting your highest gate and haven't really lost out compared to other meetings where you have your lowest crowds...

He wouldn't even be the biggest fish in this small pond if Bewley, Doyle, Emil, Holder and co remain next season.
-
See that he is going to try fish & chips. Good choice Vadim, adopting the English culture. However, you must be careful not to get food poisoning like your dear, old uncle. Definitely check the fish hasn't gone off before you tuck in

Just confirmed on Eurosport that Artem will return next week. Looks like the home only theory could potentially be true

WE HIT 25 POINTS, LETS ALL HAVE A PARTY!

Was just thinking how the Belle Vue team is actually built with strategy and how much their riders actually value racing in the UK. Kurtz could easily get a team place in the Ekstraliga, but because of the ruling that you're only allowed 2 riders from Poland's top league either one of him, Lidsey or Bewley would have to either drop Belle Vue or race in a lower Polish League. Nice to see top level riders that actually want to do GB speedway

Could we get Richard Lawson and Nick Morris as guests for Nicolai Klindt and Thomas Jorgensen? Pretty please? We'll take Bomber as our R/S for the night as well...
-
Christ above we are an embarrassment to "professional sport"
-
No it wouldn't Progressive scores after heat 11 TJ - 2 NK - 3 KT - 0 NM - 6 SL 2+1 AR - 2 2 races winners and they've both come from a track specialist former rider for many a year. Laguta would have made no difference tonight, so at least it's a cheap round for Buster. Expecting a big guest for MPT at home against Sheffield with all the budget saved
-
Subsidising Tarasenkos 6 rides at Peterborough.
-
The problem is if it's Lynn who release Laguta, he may have written in his contract that he is due some severance payment, which will cost Buster a hell of a lot more upfront. If Buster needs to cut costs he may need Laguta to walk away himself which is unlikely given he's on a guaranteed £X per meeting.
-
Reported figure is £400 fixed for the entire meeting. Can't blame anyone not based in the UK not wanting to do it
-
Doyle, Emil, NKI?
-
£5k - £6k I know that still obviously isn't cheap, but I don't know where people are getting this £10k figure from.
-
He isn't on £10k a meeting...
-
Looks like Harris being on standby means he can ride for both teams
-
Lynn's preview has Harris on standby, which I assume you've got this from. Wolves preview already has Harris in at 1. So maybe they know something we don't.
-
Two different publications from the respective teams. Lynn's preview has Laguta in with Harris on standby as a guest, if required. Wolves preview already has Harris in the lineup. Is it fair to say that Laguta is unlikely to be at Wolves tomorrow? However, he does appear to be riding for Wroclaw this afternoon.

He's just salty cause they don't have a No.1...
-
Kemp? He'd be no.1 for me and then the same order
