  1. Like he how he doesn't mention Buster saving the Witches at all... Edit: my comment following the 2nd part of Chris' tweet
  2. Jason Edwards hasn't looked too bad around Foxhall. Paid 8 from his last 2 meetings...
  3. You could be sure that a certain Mr Laguta would get his crew to hold off everyone else...
  4. Surely what Laguta is on alone would cover what a championships wages are? I'm just assuming...
  5. Just having a rough estimate at KL wages per meeting, based on their current averages: AL) £4k - £6k (guarantee) NK) £1.5k - £1.75k MPT) £1.2k - £1.4k TJ) £900 - £1k KT) £600 - £650 SL) £500-£600 AR) £350-400 Based on topline figures works out just under £12k a meeting.
  6. Bloody hell he has to put a shift in to make it viable.
  7. Unfortunately, since 2018 it has what myself and all Lynn fans it's what we have had to become accustom too. Every year their is optimism, but year after year by the end of May our season is effectively over. I don't know if there is stuff going on behind the scenes as we don't get to see/hear that stuff, but you can't tell that we've had 5 years of continuous bad luck. It's just sad to see this great club not even being competitive year-in-year-out. If the money isn't there, drop down a league. I'd much rather see a competitive team in the Championship, then be a whipping boy of the Premiership. I think a lot of fans would agree with me on that one! I would just like the club to be more open, and transparent with us the loyal, paying fans. We are the lifeblood of speedway and without us, there is no speedway. Just put news out there that you're trying to make changes, seems like the club is operating all cryptic and in riddles. If, for whatever reason you don't manage to pull off a signing, let us know, at least we'll have some justification that you've took the initiative and tried to make improvements.
  8. AL - 13 (6) NK - 7 (5) TJ - 5 (4) KT - 3 (4) BB - 0 (3) SL - 5 (5) AR - 2 (3) KL total - 35
  9. Only if they score a row of ducks against their Sheffield counterparts
  10. 0-0-0-3 or whatever race Klindt goes in, for MPT rides as only he is able to take a ride now. Still, that's 3 more than Barker will get. There's plenty of riders in the Championship available...we took a chance on Kye, why not do it again with another one? I'd rather see an actual declared 1-7 than use guests week in week out
  11. I just don't see it. Jakobsen must have been on a decent whack considering he's an "Ekstraliga rider" Pickering also would have been on a fair amount. Not paying anything for MPT while he's out. Surely could have scraped enough for Charles Wright, Tom Brennan or Blodorn who would do better than Barker...?
  12. KL lineup 1. Artem Laguta 2. Kye Thomson 3. Ben Barker (G) 4. Thomas Jorgensen 5. Nicolai Klindt 6. Simon Lambert 7. Anders Rowe Looks like no effort has been made to replace MPT. Bargain basement guest, absolute no hope of this being close. 35-55.
  13. Even what Oxford have done this year, getting riders and a bike around the town is a damn sight more than the so called elite clubs in the Premiership have accomplished.
  14. If you actually follow international economics, you would see that Poland is due to overtake the UK in the next few years. And in response to your comment, Poland isn't suffering as much of a financial crisis as the UK. Housing prices are reasonable, inflation is low, interest rates are low etc etc the list goes on. Therefore, more disposable income available. Here, people have to make a choice - eat, bills etc - or go to speedway. Theres only one winner. All I'm saying is if entrance fees are lower, at least you're making an effort and showing initiative to try and get more fans in. Take Lynn for example, you pay £22 entrance, you're then obliged to pay £2 if you want to sit and another £3 if you wish for a programme. £27 before you've even considered a drink or something to eat... that doesn't scream value for money to me. You're effectively paying £2 a race... Which to me does look steep.
  15. For me, the stumbling block to getting more fans through the gate (which is the only way clubs will survive is the entrance fee). £22 to watch 15 minutes of actual "racing" just doesn't offer value for money for the paying customer. I will continue to use Poland as a comparison, which I understand the cost of living is currently lower. £10-£15 is a much better value for proposition for the paying customer and yes I'm aware sponsors front up a lot £, but would the sponsors do that if the clubs didn't get fans bums on seats? I don't understand why clubs can't trial it for 1 meeting, reducing the entrance fee to see if it attracts more crowd through the gate. Take King's Lynn Vs Ipswich coming up in August, that will be Lynn's biggest gate of the year, but if a ticket cost £15 for example imagine how many more fans might be enticed. The same for any derby match so to speak If the trial doesn't work at least you've chose a meeting where you're already expecting your highest gate and haven't really lost out compared to other meetings where you have your lowest crowds...
  16. He wouldn't even be the biggest fish in this small pond if Bewley, Doyle, Emil, Holder and co remain next season.
  17. See that he is going to try fish & chips. Good choice Vadim, adopting the English culture. However, you must be careful not to get food poisoning like your dear, old uncle. Definitely check the fish hasn't gone off before you tuck in
  18. Just confirmed on Eurosport that Artem will return next week. Looks like the home only theory could potentially be true
