I'm not saying we should copy Poland, but maybe introducing the rule where both reserves have to be U24 riders (or similar) from clubs academies would be beneficial. You look at teams like Sheffield (Kerr/Howarth/Pickering?) and BV (Blodorn/Brennan) they've always got a stronger reserve than the rest of the teams. I'm not saying they should be penalised for having strong reserves as they've built their team that way, but if a in-form reserve can take 7 rides that's where a meeting can be won or lost. I personally feel if you have to have 2 "Rising Stars" let's call them for arguments sake in your reserve berth it might make things more competitive... Obviously, there are bigger fish to fry in terms of ongoing issues, however, it's just a suggestion.

Dread to think what BV's, Sheffield's or Ipswich's budgets are if the rest of the Lynn team is "over budget". Maybe some riders are being overpaid for their services. However, I would've thought Laguta would be the only one on a guarantee.

Didn't look great at Wroclaw yesterday. I was at that meeting. Wasn't making gates and getting passed. Very unusual for him, however the calibre of rider has to be taken into consideration.

The only way I see us continuing is by releasing Laguta. Do that and whatever fans we do have attending are unlikely too anymore. It really is a lose lose situation for Buster and KL at present.

King's Lynn want to have a different surface due to stock cars/bangers bringing in the majority of revenue. It's not feasible to rip up the clay and replace it with shale for when there is a speedway meeting or vice versa. From a business perspective the speedway attendances just don't dictate doing this.

Surely what Laguta is on alone would cover what a championships wages are? I'm just assuming...

Just having a rough estimate at KL wages per meeting, based on their current averages: AL) £4k - £6k (guarantee) NK) £1.5k - £1.75k MPT) £1.2k - £1.4k TJ) £900 - £1k KT) £600 - £650 SL) £500-£600 AR) £350-400 Based on topline figures works out just under £12k a meeting.

Unfortunately, since 2018 it has what myself and all Lynn fans it's what we have had to become accustom too. Every year their is optimism, but year after year by the end of May our season is effectively over. I don't know if there is stuff going on behind the scenes as we don't get to see/hear that stuff, but you can't tell that we've had 5 years of continuous bad luck. It's just sad to see this great club not even being competitive year-in-year-out. If the money isn't there, drop down a league. I'd much rather see a competitive team in the Championship, then be a whipping boy of the Premiership. I think a lot of fans would agree with me on that one! I would just like the club to be more open, and transparent with us the loyal, paying fans. We are the lifeblood of speedway and without us, there is no speedway. Just put news out there that you're trying to make changes, seems like the club is operating all cryptic and in riddles. If, for whatever reason you don't manage to pull off a signing, let us know, at least we'll have some justification that you've took the initiative and tried to make improvements.
