  1. Lynn could potentially hit 60 now (although Buster is begging inside they don’t), as it will probably be the lowest crowd of the season. Can’t see much more than 700 being in attendance
  2. A rare home Thursday race night for the Stars in 2025 with the perfect opportunity to collect 3 points. After the surprise win on Monday at Perry Barr (hold my hands up did not expect Lewi Kerr to be our saviour), Lynn must come into this one fully expecting a convincing win. Ben Cook is due to make his second comeback at reserve this time and he should fill his boots. Musielak and Zagar will put up some resistance, but the Stars should have far too much to see them reach 50 points easily. I’m going with a 54-36 scoreline. KLS 1. Kvech - 11 (5) 2. Iversen - 7 (4) 3. Harris - 7 (4) 4. Lawson - 10 (5) 5. Klindt - 6 (4) 6. Cook - 11 (5) 7. Harrison - 2 (3) Total - 54 BB 1. Musielak - 12 (6) 2. Jeppesen - 3 (4) 3. Rew - 4 (4) 4. Castagna - 1 (3) 5. Zagar - 9 (5) 6. Barker - 6 (5) 7. Hagon - 1 (3) Total - 36
  3. Because he’s not good enough. When you’re going from Harris, Kvech and Klindt all at reserve consistently scoring 10+, Kerr is just not in the same conversation. The opportunity was there to get Ellis or D Thompson in as guest who would’ve added some firepower to reserve. It just makes me laugh how Rob says he wants the team to win every remaining fixture, however the promotion haven’t got out of their way to secure a guest to contribute to that. Kerr will score 4(4) tomorrow - 2, 0, 1, 2
  4. Very much dependent on who the guest for Cook is. If we can get Ellis or D Thompson we stand half a chance of grabbing a result
  5. Then Thompson will have to stay in one of his later heats, which I’m sure Rob is astute enough to put Klindt in
  6. It’s funny, because when you speak to different riders they all say they reach their primes at different ages - some are late 20’s other are mid 30’s

  8. We didn’t have Klindt at the beginning of July, he was riding in Poland. Z Cook was at reserve…
  9. They all need to their job for us to stand any chance, not just Klindt. Getting to 46 points is going to be tricky and will require a monumental effort from everyone. Iversen - 5(3/4) Lawson - 9(5) Harris - 7(4) Nicholls - 4(3/4) Kvech - 6(4) Klindt - 13(7) Harrison - 2(3)
  10. I see your point, but again, no disrespect to Luke as he has been doing a fine job and exceeded my expectations, but there is always a chance that an underperforming rider may just turn it on for one heat, something that I wouldn’t expect Luke to do. To me it just seems too much of a risk to use young Luke late on in meetings, especially when Leicester will have the opportunity to bring Kemp in for Thompson as well.
  11. But as a foreign rider, I thought his average couldn’t be below a 4.00, regardless of what the conversion is?
  12. I’ve questioned whether these changes breach the regulations. Surely Nick Morris will be using his established average from 2023 (6.43), and as a foreign rider doesn’t Etheridge’s average have to be 4.00 as a minimum? Removing Kerr and Sedgmen from the 1-7 leaves Sheffield with 9.91 to replace them, and combined Morris and Etheridge are 10.43, putting them at 40.52…
  13. Using him early (heat 4), would mean Harrison would have to go in heat 14. At what could be a critical point in the match, no disrespect to Luke but I wouldn’t want him in heat 14 - unless Rob takes Klindt out of one of his programmes rides and puts Luke in there. IMO Luke needs to have completed all of his rides by the end of heat 8 with the hope he finishes ahead of Joe T on a couple of occasions.
  14. He had 4 on the spin Monday night, so can see the same again happening. If he’s going well, he’s the only hope to stop Leicester’s power in the later heats
  15. I don’t really understand the logic here. If Klindt for arguments sake is on an 18-point max from 6 rides before heat 15, why wouldn’t you nominate him for it? I can see Klindt riding in the following heats: 2 (as programmed) 6 (as programmed) 9 (as programmed) 12 (as programmed) 13 (as reserve switch for Iversen) 14 (as reserve switch for Harrison) 15 (as Rob’s nomination)
  16. He’ll still get seven rides: - 1 as reserve switch for Harrison - 1 as reserve switch for whichever of the top 5 is struggling (Niels probably) - 1 as a nomination for heat 15 (if it makes it that far)
  17. Big queue out to the road this evening (probably 200m). Delayed parade again. And, unfortunately, no online advance tickets.

  19. *Potentially 2 less rides if Leicester find themselves 6 points or more down at any point tomorrow
  20. Should be a good final. Shame Lynn couldn’t have got a proper replacement in for Cook, but as it has been mentioned Kerr can beat anyone around Saddlebow Road. The Stars will definitely need a 16+ advantage to take to Beaumont Park, as I can’t see Dickson being as naive as Ipswich were and gifting Lynn a track that suited them. Klindt potentially taking 14 rides across the 2 legs could be massive, especially with Fricke now limited to only 10 (no R/R and no tac-sub in the cup).
  21. Technically every season is an anniversary season🤪
  22. It is wasted in heat no. 8 with Fricke against a second string at 2 rising stars, but maybe Dickson sees it as a guaranteed 3-3 and Thompson might get the better of his counterpart and they sneak a 4-2 out of it
