Funny how this post completely contradicts your one on the Sheffield thread
-
But in a roundabout way they’ve just swapped Brennan for Rew and probably paid more on top. Should’ve just matched what Brennan was offered by Ipswich and saved a few quid
-
Sheffield have announced their ticket price of £25. Birmingham is £24. Do we think Lynn will: a -remain the same? b - increase by £1? c - increase by £2? d - increase by more? Interested to see what people think. Would people pay £25, or is that getting to the point where it’s not a good value for money proposition anymore?

When did Nilsson last ride here? I thought averages had to be reassessed after 4/5 years not sure on exact timeframe
-
I’ve got starting averages as follows: 1. Musielak - 8.21 2. Jeppesen - 6.00 (reassessed) 3. Zagar - 7.2 (existing average from 2022) 4. Nilsson - 6.00 (reassessed) 5. Thorsell - 7.33 (existing average from 2019) 6. Rew - 5.67 7. Edwards - RS Total - 40.41 This means either Zagar or Thorsells existing average is going to have to be reassessed. Most likely Thorsell as his was achieved 5 years ago. If the rules remain the same as per 2024 regulations he will come in on a 6.00 also, meaning Birminghams final 1-7 would be like this: 1. Musielak - 8.21 2. Jeppesen - 6.00 3. Thorssell - 6.00 4. Nilsson - 6.00 5. Zagar - 7.2 6. Rew - 5.67 7. Edwards - RS Total - 39.08

Enlighten me then

Finally someone who gets it…
-
Can’t be that bad of an environment, Richard Lawson wanted to come back where he had a higher offer from Leicester. Ben Cook also had alternative offers on the table with higher offers. Ipswich wanted Kvech, but he chose Lynn. Need I say more…?
-
A leopard never changes its spots… You know the inner working of King’s Lynn Stars and their financial position do you? Tolley has already plead poverty before last season even finished, wouldn’t fill me with the greatest of confidence that they will see out next season…
-
And what about when the same reasons reappear next season? Say what you want about Buster/Lynn but at least it’s a stable environment. He might be out of a job come May…
-
idiot hope so. Small world speedway and people don’t forget

Whilst I agree with you in principle, the BV tail can be exposed just as much as Sheffield’s. Mulford will never make it at Premiership level; Zischke is coming back from a horror crash and has barely turned a wheel in the top league; and they’re replacing a 7 point rider in B Cook with his brother or Rew. Whoever his replacement is, and how they go this season is the deciding factor in my opinion. Can Kurtz, Bewley and Lidsey carry them to 35-40 points week in week out?
-
Can Kvech become the 9-point rider Fricke is though? That is the only question mark, he certainly has the ability to…
-
Let’s wait and see

And there isn’t elite riders in that league?

My thoughts regarding our 1-7 below: B Cook - Obviously on a massive upward trajectory if ‘24 is anything to go by. I think riding in Poland will benefit him competing against top guys every week. Going to be a different challenge this year as he doesn’t have 2 senior heat leaders above him. I think he may struggle initially especially with his riding position, but once he comes out of No. 1 and into 3-4 he will be very consistent home and away. 8/10 signing. N K Iversen - The back end of 2024 was insane, he had no right to be rolling back the years like that. I wouldn’t expect him to carry on in the same manner though, but this year I don’t think he’s expected or will be needed to step up as much. As long as he stays steady gets his 6-7 points consistently home and away he’s certainly done his job. 8/10 signing. N Klindt - I like Nicolai, he’s an honest and open guy who is genuinely passionate about Kings Lynn and wants the club to succeed. Think that can be seen last year when he made a few surprise appearances when out injured. However, he is coming back from another truly horrendous injury. We all know it’s not just the physical side of it, it’s the mental too. Will he be as aggressive? will he attempt the manoeuvres he would’ve before? Personally, I think it might just have been one big injury too many. That being said, he is the most likely to drop down to reserve after the first average changes, and like anyone in the team he should be a trump there. 7/10 signing. J Kvech - What a man this guy is. Came in last season and completely turned our season around. He took to Saddlebow Road like a duck to water. His away scores weren’t the best and he would be the first to admit that. However, this season that should change as he’s now seen everywhere at least once. Will be a big year for Jan, and I think we all expect him to step up and be the 8.00 rider we know he’s capable of being. 10/10 signing. R Lawson - Great to have him back. Again like Nicolai, he calls the AFA home. A No. 1 around Lynn, and probably one of the most consistent performers you could ask for. Will never let you down and is a great guy to have around. 9/10 signing. C Harris - Over 10 years in the making getting this guy to Lynn. A speedway legend in every sense of the word. Mr Entertainment, will do the unthinkable and will bring excitement. Starting at reserve is a huge bonus, and should score big points to ensure we get off to a good start of the season. 9/10 signing. A Boughen - The rising star with highest ceiling, but will he fulfil his potential? I don’t think Rob is putting too much pressure on young Ashton, and with the way the team is built there shouldn’t be. If he can score 4-5 at home and 2-3 away, he’s more than done his job. Local lad as well, knows the track inside out which helps. With no expectation on him, I’m sure he will get over his confident issues and he can just go out there and enjoy riding. 8/10 signing.
-
Lawson is essentially a No. 1 around Saddlebow Road. If he can score 10-12 every meeting and get 7-8 away then he will most likely move to No. 1.
-
I’m going to put a bold claim of starting and final averages for the Lynn 1-7 for ‘25 Starting Final 1. Cook - 6.99 7.05 2. Iversen - 6.83 6.64 3. Kvech - 6.58 7.89 4. Klindt - 6.59 6.75 5. Lawson - 7.09 7.21 6. Harris - 6.22 6.56 Total - 40.3 42.1
-
Could potentially see him at Birmingham. Realistically he is a good option for them and if he wants to do UK it’s his only option…
-
And as promised I will hold my hands up and give kudos to the promotion for announcing the full team in one go
-
I would imagine a lot of meetings will be a foregone conclusion before the latter stages (home meetings only) Ht 1 - 4-2 Ht 2 - 4-2 (8-4) Ht 3 - 3-3 (11-7) Ht 4 - 2-4 (13-11) Ht 5 - 3-3 (16-14) Ht 6 - 5-1 (21-15) Ht 7 - 3-3 (24-18) Ht 8 - 5-1 (29-19) Ht 9 - 4-2 (33-21) Ht 10 - 4-2 (37-23) Ht 11 - 2-4 (39-27) Ht 12 - 4-2 (43-29) Ht 13 - 1-5 (44-34) Ht 14 - 5-1 (49-35 Ht 15 - 2-4 (51-39) I think 51-39, 50-40 and 49-41 will be very likely home results for Lynn next season
-
And who would you have at reserve to replace Bomber then?
-
Should go 10 or 11 out of 12 at home and potentially 3 or 4 out of 12 away picking up around 6 or 7 aggregate points. That gives a grand total of 32 or 37 points which might just be enough to scrape in the playoffs
-
Tolley is probably the only one stupid enough to pay over the odds for him, but Rew fills a nice hole left by B Cook at BV
