  1. Depends if you're basing it off a Polish team No stipulations as to the format of the 1-7. However, I see your point. Would of been good to get people's opinions on a Team of the Season 1-7 based on say 42 points. Mine for this would be: 1. Emil - 10.1 2. Howarth - 5.55 3. Douglas - 7.14 4. B Cook - 6.0 5. Lidsey - 7.86 6. Sedgemen - 5.07 RS - Rowe Total - 41.72
  2. 1. Emil - standout performer in the league by far 2. Kurtz - kicked on massively in 2023 and outperformed Bewley by miles 3. Doyle - continued to perform at a world class level 4. Musielak - consistent and classy performer. Shame he got injured and missed Sheffield's play off win 5. Lidsey - added 2.7 to his average. No more needs to be said 6. Tarasenko - came into Peterborough with very little expectation, but hit the ground running and delivered above and beyond 7. Rowe - started slowly at Lynn, but as he became more comfortable and confident he is now the leading RS in the league
  3. Wouldn't they use Etheridges BV average from 2022 - 5.22?
  4. Kurtz - 8.51 Bewley - 8.21 (7.79) with reduction Lidsey - 7.86 Ellis - 5.71 (5.42) with reduction Blodorn - 5.83 Total 36.12 (35.41) with reductions Going to be tough year at reserve for you guys if that's the likely top 5
  5. If Lynn can't afford to pay him an extra £20 a point then how can we even consider building a competitive enough team to challenge? The man's average is less than 7 - £140 extra a meeting - £3360 a season.
  6. He may have. From some reports I saw (unsure how credible), it was mentioned that if he got out of his Smederna contract he would do a full season in the UK
  7. If you keep Jason and Emil, you certainly won't be. Not much scope for improvement with more than 1/2 your team building average gone from 2 riders and if you keep Danny as well 2/3s gone. Unless Chris pulls out a miracle and finds a young continent rider who can add 2 or 3 to an assessed 5.0, but I thought he didn't know any...?
  8. Tarasenko is better than Laguta. Well certainly around the UK tracks he is.
  9. Lawson surprises me. We wanted to keep him for 23 but from his own words KL is too far out in the sticks for him and that's why he signed with Leicester.
  10. Do we think Pawlicki would be strong enough to be our No.1? Would love to see Huckenbeck back at the Stars. Showed glimpses of real potential when he last ride for us and he's gone from strength to strength. Unlikely to happen now he's in the GPs unfortunately.
  11. Solid team. Can't see Harris riding for us though. Got Birmingham all over him if they move up.
  12. He did say if no Smederna then he'll be back in the UK. I've also seen quotes from KL which support this as well.
  13. Looks like Lambert has left Smederna, does that mean he's doing UK or signing for another Swedish team? I saw something in the news that discussions were held that if Lambert left Smederna he would do a full season in the UK and not sign for another Swedish club...
  14. Replacing Lidsey? No way can BV work him, Bewley and Kurtz into a team again
  15. A famous 63-27 at the Norfolk Arena sticks out in my mind from the 22 season
  16. Is it not a problem that ticket prices are likely to increase to justify clubs bringing in these "quality" riders as they can't sustain paying for them otherwise?
  17. And therein lyes the problem. All the big stars who don't get permanent GP places just want to waltz into the UK. Take Emil (credit where it's due, he has been loyal to UK speedway this year), Artem etc. If they were in the GP there would be no chance we'd have seen them over here this year
  18. Does anyone actually know if Emil and Artem want to do the GP series? No one seems to have any factual evidence that they actually want to be included. At the end of the day, we're all speedway fans, just be grateful there is still a world recognised championship to watch.
  19. Wouldn't be surprised to see Janowski back in the UK for 2024 as he's not a permanent GP rider
  20. Hasn't looked on it since his injury layoff, which in understandable. If he could be fitted in at reserve next season on his current average might be worth a shot
