  1. Think we can put that one down to everyone’s old friend karma
  2. Whilst I agree in principle about price. Neither the promotion or the broadcaster should be advertising it as the “top 4 scorers from each team”. Before a wheel was even turned tonight it was pretty obvious that Emil, Doyle and MJJ would be 3/8 top scorers and paying fans would be expecting to see them come out in the event. It’s pretty poor all round from my perspective.
  3. Tom Brennan guests on Monday, with line-ups being declared. Can’t see anything else other than a very comfortable Lynn win now. 56-34. 1. Brennan - 8 (4) 2. Kvech - 9 (4) 3. Klindt - 8 (4) 4. Iversen - 6 (4) 5. Lawson - 10 (5) 6. Harris - 12 (6) 7. Boughen - 3 (3) Total - 56 1. Tungate - 7 (5) 2. Riss - 6 (4) 3. Wright - 5 (4) 4. Kildemand - 3 (3) 5. Janowski - 9 (6) 6. Gusts - 4 (5) 7. Killeen - 0 (3) Total - 34
  4. Lynn should win this with a guest for Cook or R/R. It won’t be as convincing at the KO cup though. 50-40. KLS 1. R/R 2. Klindt - 8 (5) 3. Kvech - 9 (5) 4. Iversen - 7 (4) 5. Lawson - 11 (6) 6. Harris - 12 (6) 7. Boughen - 3 (3) Total - 50 OXS 1. Tungate - 8 (5) 2. Riss - 5 (4) 3. Wright - 7 (4) 4. Kildemand - 3 (3) 5. Janowski - 12 (6) 6. Gusts - 5 (5) 7. Killeen - 0 (3) Total - 40
  5. All things being equal with both sides having their full 1-7’s, Ipswich should win this comfortably. 57-33. 1. Doyle - 14 (5) 2. King - 6 (4) 3. Ellis - 6 (4) 4. Brennan - 8 (4) 5. Sayfutdinov - 13 (5) 6. Thompson - 6 (4) 7. Jenkins - 4 (4) Total - 57 1. Musielak - 9 (6) 2. Jeppessen - 3 (4) 3. Jepsen Jensen - 6 (4) 4. Rew - 7 (5) 5. Zagar - 7 (4) 6. Voulas - 3 (4) 7. Edwards - 2 (4) Total - 33
  6. Maybe (and I’m just speculating here) that they are having Visa issues and can’t get any more foreign riders in? Isn’t there a rule that limits the number of visa permits a club has?
  7. Don’t forget Anders Rowe was a RS. Struggled for a long time then came to Lynn got his mojo back, and now looks very comfortable at no.2 for Sheffield
  8. I think so, haven’t heard his name mentioned anywhere for a couple of years
  9. Think Leicester might just nick this. Fricke to go through the card. 47-43.
  10. If someone already has a CMA (over 6 meetings) then their average changes from the 1st of every month. It takes into account last years meetings also, and is based on the last 20 meetings raced. All of Lynn’s riders fulfil that criteria, so the averages will be be changed on 1st May up to and including meetings to the 21st April.
  11. Depends if you want the unrealistic or realistic option… Unrealistic 1. Lambert / Dudek / Vaculik / Michelsen / Lindgren / R Jensen 2. And any assessed 5.0 rider. If Oxford can get Gusts to come over then I’m sure Lynn can find a middle of the road Extraleague/2 Extraleague rider to come in at reserve Realistic 1. Thomsen / Wozniak / Berntzon / Huckenbeck / Thorsell 2. again, any assessed 5.0-6.0 assessed rider. Personally, I see any specific name mentioned above as a more natural No. 1 than Cook and more consistent than Kvech.
  12. Looks like Harris will go to No. 1 and Klindt to No. 6. As much as I hope Ben is ok and obviously wish him a speedy recovery, it could be a blessing in disguise for Lynn if they can now bring in a genuine No. 1 to replace Cook and bring in a 5 pointer at reserve. 1. 8.00 assessed rider (replacing Cook) 2. Lawson - 6.74 3. Iversen - 6.64 4. Klindt - 6.13 5. Harris - 6.87 6. 5.00 assessed rider (replacing Kvech) 7. Boughen - RS Total - 39.38
  13. He is at home and he has proven he can beat anyone round the AFA. He should average around 8 at home and 6 away with an average of 7, which in my book is a strong third heat leader
  14. Or it was just a watered down league where there was only 2 out and out No. 1’s (Bewley and J Holder) compared to 8 now (Bewley, Kurtz, Doyle, Sayfutdinov, J Holder, C Holder, Woffinden and Fricke)?
  15. As many have already mentioned, this is a must win fixture for Lynn, or the season is over by mid April. If Dickson sticks with the same lineup, Fricke and Becker at 1 & 2 looks dangerous and could see 15 points collected from their 3 races together. Rob has to be tactical where he lines everyone up to maximise heat advantages. The Stars have to come out of the traps flying and build up a significant lead by heat 11. It will be close, but I think with a bit of luck the Stars will edge it with Bomber taking 7 again. KLS B Cook - 3 (3) N Klindt - 7 (4) J Kvech - 8 (4) N K Iversen - 6 (4) R Lawson - 9 (5) C Harris - 13 (7) A Boughen - 2 (3) Total - 48 LL Fricke - 13 (5) Becker - 7 (4) Douglas - 8 (5) Howarth - 4 (4) Masters - 6 (4) Kemp - 4 (5) Hagon - 0 (3) Total - 42
  16. He would, but we’ve done that dance too many times now. We need to look further afield and find a diamond in the rough like Oxford have with Gusts, who has been their only shining light this season
  17. 2 from Cook, Kvech or Klindt need to go in my opinion, before the next set of averages in May. If we genuinely have playoff aspirations this season, we can’t afford Harris to be carrying 2/3 riders every meeting, especially away from home. 1. GP standard rider - 8.00 2. Harris - 6.06 3. Lawson - 6.91 4. Iversen 6.83 5. Cook - 6.99 / Kvech - 6.58 / Klindt - 6.59 6. Mid-range reserve standard rider - 5.00 7. Boughen - RS Total - 39.79 / 39.38 / 39.39
  18. I’m not saying he’s interested, I don’t think he is either. Just merely stating in terms of a big hitter he is realistically the only possibility
  19. The issue with Lynn is as soon as they go away and the track is grippy, no one wants to know. They’re all gaters (minus Harris) and if they don’t hit bend 1 in front then it’s curtains and all very precessional from there. They should in theory (minus the loss already to BV and Ipswich probably) win every home meeting, but apart from Oxford and Birmingham lose heavily away and struggle to pick up enough aggregate points to see them into the playoffs. The only realistic change is Lambert, but that would require 2 changes having to be made, and who is out there on a 5-point average that would want to come in?
  20. Somehow they’ll manage to fit everyone in again. Manipulate the system to get a rider who graduated out of the RS system in ‘24 back into it for ‘25. Probably next year will manage to slip D Thompson back into the RS scheme.
  21. Lynn to lose quite heavily again I fear. Never go that well around Owlerton, with Harris being our only lifeline. Shouldn’t expect him to save us every meeting though. 54-36. ST 1. J Holder - 14 (5) 2. A Rowe - 9 (5) 3. J Pickering - 10 (5) 4. R/R 5. C Holder - 13 (6) 6. D Hume - 2 (4) 7. L Flint - 6 (4) Total - 54 KLS 1. B Cook - 6 (5) 2. N Klindt - 4 (4) 3. J Kvech - 5 (4) 4. N K Iversen - 6 (4) 5. R Lawson - 4 (4) 6. C Harris - 10 (6) 7. A Boughen - 1 (3) Total - 36
  22. I would imagine in line with the rest so: £15 full £13 concessions
