  1. Proud of the boys, did a lot better than some expected, and to stop Ipswich getting 60 at home is some going (don’t think a lot of teams will achieve that this season). I sat exactly inline with the start/finish on the back straight and saw multiple nibbles at the start, with only Klindt getting pulled back. My only gripe is, if you’re going to enforce it, you have to consistently enforce it. At the end of the day I’m humble enough to admit the better team won, once Ipswich got settled on the lacklustre track that was that, as they have too much firepower at the back end of meetings.
  2. Belle Vue v Sheffield: 50-40 1. Kurtz - 13 (5) 2. Blodorn - 6 (4) 3. Lidsey - 8 (4) 4. Cook - 5 (4) 5. Bewley - 12 (5) 6. Zischke - 4 (4) 7. Mulford - 2 (3) Total - 50 1. J Holder - 11 (6) 2. Rowe - 4 (4) 3. Pickering - 6 (4) 4. Sedgmen - 3 (4) 5. C Holder - 8 (5) 6. Kerr - 5 (4) 7. Flint - 3 (3) Total - 40 Sheffield v Belle Vue: 54 (94) - 36 (86) 1. J Holder - 13 (5) 2. Rowe - 7 (4) 3. 3. A genuine question because I’m curious, does Sweden pay more than what the UK does? It seems like Sweden have no issues attracting the top names and the travelling time is negligible if a UK side is offering to pay more…
  4. Personally think Leicester came out with better side of the deal anyway. Cook is over the hill at this level and if he decides one evening he doesn’t fancy it, you can quite comfortably write a row of duck eggs in the programme
  5. What is the saying they like to use: “for the best interests commercially for British speedway”
  6. Let’s see, should be a good meeting either way, with a bumper crowd!
  7. I was a bit conservative with Dan T because he is now going against an opposition no. 6 in heat 2 and most likely 11 who is not a reserve and just thinking he cannot maintain his brilliant start to the season. However, he could prove me wrong and go score a max the way he has started the season! if my memory serves he correct Kvech quite enjoyed himself at Foxhall last year scoring 11 in August and 10+1 when guesting for Ipswich in the playoffs, so expect him to go well
  8. Line-ups declared for Monday’s early Bank Holiday Fixture. Can only see an Ipswich win, unfortunately. However, I think Lynn will put up the most competitive fight of anyone who has visited Foxha this year so far. 52-38. Ipswich 1. Jason Doyle - 13 (5) 2. Danny King - 7 (4) 3. Adam Ellis - 6 (4) 4. Tom Brennan - 8 (4) 5. Emil Sayfutdinov - 11 (5) 6. Dan Thompson - 3 (4) 7. Jordan Jenkins - 4 (4) Total - 52 King’s Lynn 1. Chris Harris - 6 (4) 2. R/R 3. Jan Kvech - 8 (5) 4. Richard Lawson - 5 (4) 5. Niels Kristian Iversen - 7 (5) 6. Nicolai Klindt - 10 (7) 7. Ashton Boughen - 2 (4) Total - 38
  9. There’s no guarantees that King’s Lynn will run again in ‘26. Always question marks come September/October time whether Buster will continue…
  10. Temp visa like Lindgren uses when he does testimonial/challenge fixtures over here at the start of the season
  11. Think it goes to the next decimal place that is higher, and unfortunately in this scenario Cook is higher so has to go in the main body
  12. R/R will be fine at home, as Kvech 1 ride, Klindt 2 rides and Boughen 1 ride should score the same/if not more than what Cook had to start the season. We will struggle either way away, and with our next next 2 fixtures at Ipswich and Leicester it looks pretty daunting.
  13. As much as I want to say King’s Lynn are competitive, we’re really not. We have a strong home advantage (unless we face Ipswich) and may win 8-9/12 of our home meetings, but we struggle big time away. This in turn leads us not winning many aggregate bonus points and being well adrift of the play-offs. As mentioned by others on other threads, there is a big divide in the league: 1. Ipswich 2. Sheffield 3. Belle Vue 4. Leicester 5. King’s Lyn 6. Birmingham 7. Oxford
  14. I heard on the terraces last night he was doing some laps in Poland over the weekend. I found it hard to believe 2 weeks post-op, but the person was adamant
  15. Good, and well needed result for the Stars last night and biggest home win since September 2022. Although it’s painfully obviously to see Oxford are struggling, you can only beat what’s in front of you, and Lynn did that in 80% of the heats, with Janowski the only saving grace for the Spires. There will certainly be tougher tests to follow (next Monday being a prime example), but the Lynn boys should go into it full of confidence and I think it will be the most competitive anyone has been against Ipswich so far this season.
  16. Unfortunately, once you’ve completed 3 rides, IRR cannot be used. The irony is Wright had just been used as a tac/sub in the previous race. If he hadn’t of done, Oxford could’ve used IRR. Not that it would have made any difference to the outcome
  17. Think we can put that one down to everyone’s old friend karma
  18. Whilst I agree in principle about price. Neither the promotion or the broadcaster should be advertising it as the “top 4 scorers from each team”. Before a wheel was even turned tonight it was pretty obvious that Emil, Doyle and MJJ would be 3/8 top scorers and paying fans would be expecting to see them come out in the event. It’s pretty poor all round from my perspective.
  19. Tom Brennan guests on Monday, with line-ups being declared. Can’t see anything else other than a very comfortable Lynn win now. 56-34. 1. Brennan - 8 (4) 2. Kvech - 9 (4) 3. Klindt - 8 (4) 4. Iversen - 6 (4) 5. Lawson - 10 (5) 6. Harris - 12 (6) 7. Boughen - 3 (3) Total - 56 1. Tungate - 7 (5) 2. Riss - 6 (4) 3. Wright - 5 (4) 4. Kildemand - 3 (3) 5. Janowski - 9 (6) 6. Gusts - 4 (5) 7. Killeen - 0 (3) Total - 34
  20. Lynn should win this with a guest for Cook or R/R. It won’t be as convincing at the KO cup though. 50-40. KLS 1. R/R 2. Klindt - 8 (5) 3. Kvech - 9 (5) 4. Iversen - 7 (4) 5. Lawson - 11 (6) 6. Harris - 12 (6) 7. Boughen - 3 (3) Total - 50 OXS 1. Tungate - 8 (5) 2. Riss - 5 (4) 3. Wright - 7 (4) 4. Kildemand - 3 (3) 5. Janowski - 12 (6) 6. Gusts - 5 (5) 7. Killeen - 0 (3) Total - 40
  21. All things being equal with both sides having their full 1-7’s, Ipswich should win this comfortably. 57-33. 1. Doyle - 14 (5) 2. King - 6 (4) 3. Ellis - 6 (4) 4. Brennan - 8 (4) 5. Sayfutdinov - 13 (5) 6. Thompson - 6 (4) 7. Jenkins - 4 (4) Total - 57 1. Musielak - 9 (6) 2. Jeppessen - 3 (4) 3. Jepsen Jensen - 6 (4) 4. Rew - 7 (5) 5. Zagar - 7 (4) 6. Voulas - 3 (4) 7. Edwards - 2 (4) Total - 33
  22. Maybe (and I’m just speculating here) that they are having Visa issues and can’t get any more foreign riders in? Isn’t there a rule that limits the number of visa permits a club has?
