Berwick v Poole Championship 17/05/25 7pm
BacktrackBandit replied to Normski's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Lacks interest, boring to watch, likes the track to be slick and has slated the club publicly in the past. Just a shame not many no.1s out there. -

Great meeting, nice to see some dirt on the track for the first time this season. Shame the referee was poor. Looking forward to 3 weeks time now, hopefully Craig Cook isn’t still a Bandit by then. -

Agree, I think we’re going to have 1 less home meeting this year as the Border Trophy wasn’t on the calendar. I’d be very surprised if we got 40pts at Redcar next Friday. Anyone else think the track is far too slick? Other than the first couple of bends, the racing is so boring. -

Gutted I couldn’t make it tonight. Already buzzing for next Saturday, however. Did Cook look quick? -

Have no doubt he’s a better rider than TJ. However, after what he’s said about the club, track and fans in the past he should be nowhere near this club. -

Think I’d rather have Thomas Jorgensen on a 9.5avg at no.1 next season than that bellend. -

Good strong start to team building for the Bandits with the signings of Drew and Danyon, particularly pleased to hear the latter speak about the “family-spirit” at Berwick which will be so important in our hunt to win trophies this season. Heard a couple of Rumours today that Claus Vissing and Ace Pijper have both signed (pending official confirmation obviously) does anybody know if their is any truth in that? -

Disappointing end to another frustrating injury-hit season for the Bandits. The team showed a lot of promise at the beginning of the year but injuries, loyalties to certain riders and poor management at times means that it’s another wooden spoon for the Bandits. Roll on next season, Kemp first name on the team sheet hopefully… -

Oxford vs Berwick - Wed 24th July
BacktrackBandit replied to Bojangles's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
A few Berwick fans that I speak to all said he’d score well at home, in a weak league, and be steady away from home. If he’s back next year we might aswell call a day on speedway at Berwick. -

Another deluded Berwick supporter here. said it at the start of June we wouldn’t get another point in the league. Would you give Dickson another year? Personally I’d be on phone to Peter Waite. -

How Jye Etheridge still rides for this club is unbelievable. Got to be the worst so called ‘heat leader’ in the league. awful rider. -

Another Bandits defeat tonight, in another terrible season no doubt. Waste of a fixture. -

Could he not have put Garrad in heat 13 or did he have to start 3 of his programmed rides? -

Managed to fight off tough competition at the beginning of the year to keep Etheridge, I heard. -

Horrendous refereeing in the Super Heat, spoiled a good meeting. Feel for Nicholls, can understand Schroeks anger, referee should be embarrassed. -

Very poor management from Dickson again, for all the good he’s done at Berwick this season he’s made some very strange decisions, especially in recent weeks, and they haven’t paid off. -
Another horrendous result for the Bandits in a meeting which was probably our last opportunity to get pts on the board this season Who would pick Paul Starke as a guest once, never mind twice? Awful rider. No riders available to improve the main body which is a shame as Schlein won’t ride again this season and Etheridge and Hume are both very poor riders. As for Freddy Hodder, surely it’s time to give Mason Watson or a local lad a go, after all they can’t possibly score any worse.
