The problem seems to have been arranging semi finals for the KO Cup and BSN against Wednesday night Oxford and Poole, rather than rain offs. Not a problem we're going to have this year!
-
Shock horror! Do you mean Cami Brown doesn't pick the team!

Bailey's 2024 GSA figure is 4.50 while the Rolling Average, heavily weighted by 2023 meetings is over five.

Glasgow v Redcar CL 24/5/24@7-30

Friday June 7 perhaps, though Redcar have an NDL meeting that night so might not want to come then. -
From memory we signed our team quite early, suggesting these were the guys we wanted. Perhaps too early for Brennan. Throw in a strange decision not to have Danes this year and a couple of doubtful choices and you end up with a pretty poor team. Worrall might have been signed as he was perceived as a Poole specialist; Flint was a shot in the dark while Starke was signed for old times sake. A strong top two -second only to Oxford if based on averages- and high averaged reserves, squeezed the middle and left little scope for manoeuvre. Thank goodness for James P.

Not sure that the team dynamic is that strong. Anyway just changing out Lee and Paul won't improve us. Jack doesn't seem to be included in our team declarations so it looks like he is just guesting, which probably gives us more flexibility.
-
Paul currently has a GSA of 3.52 which will fall for June, so not sure we can do a one for one change. Are we looking at three out - Paul, Lee and one other possibly Leon?
-
Don't think that's a way forward. Bottom end would be Ace, Jack and a 4.00 rider, who might not make his average. That doesnt strengthen us in any way and writes off a top four finish... and our season.
-
Would he be an immediate upgrade on Jack Smith? Don't think we can track both. A lot depends on the other change(s) being contemplated. Surely it's too early to write off this season.
-
League meetings weren't the problem, it was BSN and Play off dates which aren't known at the start of the season.. Do we have a Poole fixation? Is that why we signed Worrall, seemingly a Poole specialist?

Probably not as much as he likes to make out. He was quoted as saying he wanted Lee in the team - that hasn't aged well. Would think they all sit down - Michael Max and Alan Dick - and rough out a team which needs Peter Facennas blessing then the promoters negotiate terms. -

A diversion away from him messing up the build of the 2024 team perhaps? -
Facility ends on May 30 and we only have one meeting in that fortnight - at home to Redcar on May 24. However we would have no facility at Armadale on May 31.
-
Most of the Tigers figures are lower after the Workington meeting this afternoon and with the limit being increased to 39 wef from June, I would expect them to wait until then before making any changes. Only two meetings remaining in May - Redcar at home in the league and the lost cause that is the away to Edinburgh in the BSN - so no real problem deferring until then. Might even manage a 5.00 replacement. Who knows.
-
Sorry but that's nonsense Berwick had four points from their four meetings and had no chance of being highest scoring second with that, super heat or no super heat.

What part of the bike has to cross the line to determine a riders finish? The front tyre? Where is the transponder fitted? The two are in different places and consequently can produce different results. . -

Pretty sure there was no league directive as Edinburgh had a far more generous discount last year. It really is a rip off and needs upgrading as the £1 per race has been the allowance for years. Updating it to £2 per race would be a step in the right direction but still not a great deal. -
Surely the hearing should have been heard during the suspension. NOT after it, which seems contrary to natural justice. While Glasgow dont have any meetings in the intervening days, it seems he is not allowed to practice on a BSPL track, nor be picked up as a guest.

May 18 is the day for the top six teams to play their final fixture so no real problem about racing on Sunday May 19. -

With a Dane free policy for 2024, he was never an option.
