Presumably the riders get paid at their normal points rate for riding in this heat sonas a ball park it cost an extra £1k last night. Worth it?

Glasgow Vs Edinburgh Scottish cup 2nd leg 11/04/25
Beirao replied to damosuzuki's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Cami Brown rarely picks a rider who has ridden in heat 14 for the nominated heat. Wrong but that's what he often does. Claus Vissing rode at 4 and rarely got the nod regardless of how well he had ridden. -

Get a grip and stop panicking. Riding at four and paired with the mercurial Thompson is a hard gig for Flint and scoring up to hide GSA may prove to be a big ask. Perry and Hodder need time but the wisdom of having two 2.00 reserves was always questionable. Boughen is carrying an injury and will be a better rider once he is back to full fitness -

Didn't he knock Wayne off in a second half heat with the younger Briggo breaking both wrists? He also had a bad crash with George Hunter in the Scottish Pairs at Old Meadow Bank in 1965

Have you tried the Motherwell pages of the Speedway Researcher. They frequently have details of second half races featuring junior riders. -

Hi Neil Will set up a "Previous Editions" sub head and load 2024/25 back numbers on to it. I'm not very "techie" so it could burst file sizes etc.

Should be The Man! You'll not be surprised to know I'm waiting for a cataract operation. Duly amended.

Did British promoters miss a unique opportunity for a sweeping one off levelling for all teams. Probably and it led to the annual rider allocation. https://classicspeedwaymemories.webador.co.uk/february-2025/the-nl-pl-amalgamation

SGB Championship - 2025 Predictions
Beirao replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Away wins look to be at a premium and Glasgow look weak at reserve away from home. -
Again! although the last time our meeting was at Edinburgh on the Friday.

https://classicspeedwaymemories.webador.co.uk/january-2025/not-a-young-mans-game-in-scotland-in-the-1960s Very few teenagers riding for teams in the 60s. Not until the Second Division started up with youngsters like Jessup and Thomas going a team place. Whatever became of Tony George?
