Thanks arnieg. Get it now. The way the averages page is laid out, I thought " To be effective 7 days after the last qualifying meeting" was only for NDL averages, as it's in the same paragraph.

Didn't Tarasenko get a "real" average immediately after Monday Aug 21 when he completed his third home meeting for Peterborough? Premiership riders need 3H and 3A to get an average

Edinburgh v Birmingham may be the decisive one in settling sixth place. -
Edinburgh Vs Poole 4th August

Are there rules about who goes first in a double header? Might be wrong but would have thought the Birmingham fixture was rearranged first and that they should be the first meeting on the night. -
May be combined would be a better description, though if eleven teams are in it, it will be almost twice as big as next years Premiership if two senior leagues. Will the big/combined league be 2H and 2A? Can clubs sustain that ? Sounds a lot at 40 meetings but just the same as 16 Championship and 24 Premiership league meetings this year. If 1H and 1A that represents a 50% reduction in meetings for doubling up riders.

Would think CL teams would keep their regular race nights though Redcar may revert to their traditional Thursday and be joined by Ipswich and Sheffield. Not sure if Berwick would fancy the big league and may opt for the lower tier. Belle Vue, Kings Lynn and Leicester have all had Saturdays in their past - in some cases distant past - so it'll be interesting to see what they opt for. If Mondays, then the big league could be run Monday to Friday which may allow some previously Premiership only guys - Kurtz, Lidsay etc- to ride in the UK.

Glasgow Vs Plymouth 10/8 Live on BSN

Exactly! Having to find a restaging date before the cut off might be necessary to determine Plymouths final league position. An off night meeting would probably draw a much lower crowd. With potentially four Friday night tracks in the playoffs - Glasgow, Redcar, Scunthorpe for sure and possibly Edinburgh, more off night and lower crowds are likely. -

Important that we get it run as there are really few viable alternative dates before the cut off. A time to hold our nerve and if need be just to tell the riders to get on with it. -
Morley and Ablitt were the two Kent riders who finished ahead of him, both scoring paid 13, so wouldn't get too worried about his seeming lack of form.
-
Two fall/ exclusions and generally on the pace in his other two.
-
While the final might be a minor "pot of gold", the three team sections must surely need teams to race some fixtures on their alternate race night . Not that beneficial. Glasgow, Redcar and Scunthorpe are all Friday tracks and there must be a fair chance that Edinburgh will be the sixth placed team.

Basso should have been at five. -
At present you can't get two riders going into bend three side by side. It's too square for the one on the outside to have a line to ride. Widening the entry would help.
-
Certainly widening the entrance to bend three which has always been a bit square.

Ashfield Allied owns Ashfield and is Glasgow Speedways parent company. It made a small profit in 2022 and is unlikely to have any other income, so presumably the Tigers pay rent -

Really think clubs should have dates shown as Reserved on their fixture lists so that riders dont arrange other things - riding abroad, holidays, weddings - we've had all of then recently. -

Might be wrong but don't think the BSPL took this line with the two Wolves riders who had booked a holiday in the thought to be blank week due to the World Team Cup. They got guests with an average of 25% less than the riders they replaced. -

Do we even have 3.61? As it's a non Speedway absence isn't it 75% of the average, circa 2.7? -

Wasn't Peter Facenna prepared to stream meetings if sufficient volunteers were prepared to come forward to run it.
