SGB Championship - 2025 Predictions
PTW replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Doesn’t matter if they improve Oxford can still bring Nicholls and Jody Scott in for whoever they want Aslong as the combined average for those 2 doesn’t exceed the ones going out if there above 40.00 -

Nicholls 8.53 Scott 2.00 total 10.53 Heeps 6.37 Knudsen 4.97 total 11.34 would need a near 1pt drop in averages for that not to happen. -

Can see Heeps and Knudsen leaving Oxford at somepoint in a double change to accommodate Nicholls and Jody Scott, that for me would put Oxford around the play off mark atleast. -
By the looks of it,trigger not in the team so I’m assuming Poole have gone for the 4.00&2.00 route and that 4.00 rider has more potential than Vinnie.
-
Could well be a 4.00 rider and 2.00and the 4.00 rider having plenty of potential, still disappointed Vinnie isn’t back.
-
What averages are the Kennedy brothers on?
-
Same here but he seems to be a golden boy with the owner as Greg Hancock is mentoring William Cairns so he will have a place every season I’m guessing, normal circumstances he would and should have been the 1st rider out of the door.

Guna be hard to get excited after last years team and this being weaker and every other team is getting stronger. reckoning that they will announce in riding order, Tuesday Masters Wednesday Becker Thursday Douglas Friday Cook

Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025

Imo Sam Hagon needs to find a team where he starts at reserve as in the main body he would be very vulnerable,I would have suggested Plymouth but he was awful there for Poole. -
Pretty well summed up tbh can’t see much changing next season tbh all the other riders in that team are not going to get any better than what they are atm, think they will be battling with Oxford for 5th.

I’d agree with that the easy option for club is to resign him but a new foreign rider on a 5.00 surely would be the way to go would give the club some fresh impetus and if the signing hits it off then that’s not a bad team at all. -

Cook 8.42 Schlein 8.08 Kemp 6.46 Hume 4.87 Borke 4.84 32.67 7.33 left Etheridge 4.98 slots in nicely to leave 2.35 left so I’d assume a 2.00 rider. imo I’d say a better team than last year with decent balance to it,wether it’s a play off team is in the balance I’d say. -
Just reading that I would guess that you are right not much change straight swap Howarth for Lawson and Craig Cook stays at reserve I’d assume, think Leicester team looks not very good when comparing it to others atm don’t think it’s a Play off team,Ipswich and kings Lynn look much better alongside Sheffield and Belle Vue id imagine would be there aswell as with the rumoured line ups there near on certainties to get to the play offs.
-
Thought Masters was at Oxford, wasn’t there rumours that Wozniak could have been heading to Leicester.
-
I think the line up would be 1.Cook2.Lawson3.Iversen4.klindt5.Kvech6.Harris7.Boughen makes sense to keep Lawson at no2 after last year in a similar strength team it worked for Leicester,Iversen and Klindt is pretty decent engine room and Kvech needs to go at 5 imo.
-
If that’s the case then maybe it’s a 5.00 rider at no2
-
Lawson,Thomsen,Cook,Rowe,Kerr,Foord and 2.00 is the way I’d go atm with a 40 limit ideally I’d like king instead of Kerr I just don’t see Kerr a Poole type of rider and is injury prone.
-
Agree completely whoever is at no6 should be hitting paid double figures, outstanding team building to have a reserve to take upto 7 rides who essentially will be a heatleader whoever it is.
-
Musielak is just over 8 isn’t he so that would leave just over 5 I think that’s the best balance they can have imo, would prob make sense for them to have Kerr back would fit and be a steady reserve.
-
How many points is there left after that ?
-
Yeah you bookmark it so you’re saying they will lose 6 at home not a chance with that potential line up.
-
Doubt you will be getting 34pts from your top 3 every meeting minimum will be Doyle 10,Emil 10 and Brennan 7 and the others king5,ellis 5,Thompson 5 and Jenkins 2 is the minimums per meeting I’d expect them all to get that’s 44 can’t see many of those riders falling short of those totals on a regular basis. positive end could well be 34 but not every meeting.
-
You living in cloud cuckoo land that Lynn team on paper should only potentially get beat by Ipswich at home and that’s it they look rock solid with the rumoured line up.
-
The only rider capable of that would be Hodder I think a risk worth taking as you can drop one rider like Poole did if someone is doing really well in national league bring them in,that top 5 should look after itself.
-
Weak reserves if that’s the case but a very gd top 5 enough to get you through meetings, much better on paper than last years team if that happens.
