  1. Thanks for the update, it really did look horrible. Glad that Kyran is more or less Ok and hope Luke's leg heals well and quickly.
  2. Shame Dan is not fit, but that did seem to be a big ask so soon after his crash, but that he was even considering it looks promising for him being back to 100% by the GP
  3. For a sport that at first glance is basically 4 riders x 4 laps - first past the line wins the heat a 175 page rule book does seem somewhat excessive!
  4. I've not watched enough speedway or got my head round the rule book well enough to really start wading into the debates on refs decisions, leaving that to those who know more than me for now.
  5. Would have been great to see Kyle get off to a flying start, proving to be a tough year, but thats the way any kind of racing goes sometimes & wont get to the top if you cant handle that mentally, what ever the cause is. Hope he can settle in with the Bears team and use the rest of the season to sort what ever is not working for him at Championship level and start looking to next season. As I've said on here before, I find Kyle pleasant & professional to deal with and really hope he can make the step up to a successful senior level career. Shame Stoneman came off in heat 2 as Bears might have been on for a 5-1 there. Group I was with agreed with you Yearbyred, Nathan was lucky to be back for the restart.
  6. Some of the most entertaining racing I've seen at Redcar this season, feels like the score should have been much closer. I would have given Riss Man of The Match, but can't argue against Wright too much. Knudsen looked impressive.
  7. With Kyle's move I am hoping he does put one over your senior team tonight . It also saves me the slightly awkward situation of cheering for an opposition racer when its Bears fans who give me a lift to meetings. Not sure if its a NJL match or just second half practice tonight, but if its NJL will be swapping camp to support for Owen, really pleased Berwick offered him a place after the demise of Newcastle. Think being part of the Berwick set up will be good for him.
  8. Looks like a rider change for Wolves from the teams on the preview pages - Worrall instead of Morris
  9. Yep. Whether that gets boosted with a couple of rearranged fixtures remains to be seen.
  10. Championship it is pretty costly to go to every meetings & I can understand anyone on a budget picking and choosing which they want to go to. If every meeting had gone ahead Redcar would have been 5 home meetings in April
  11. I actually prefer individual meetings but I get the impression I am in a tiny minority of speedway fans there, so I wonder if that would be financially viable. Would tracks get the attendance needed to cover their costs, which based on the figures I have seen posted for stadium lease are still going to be high, even on a revised format
  12. Anyone seen a race card or the riding order for this published yet?
  13. I have the BSN and BSN+ - got both on the up front subscription rather than per meeting. Prior to a couple who live near me offering to give me a lift it was not even viable for me to get to my nearest track to watch regularly. I rely on public transport and the train & taxi fairs on top of entry to the stadium made it too expensive to support most home meetings. When I start adding up train fair & accommodation to go to other tracks its over £100 even for 2nd closest track & I can't justify that for one evening of speedway
  14. Yes, just tried to past the link in for you and cant for some reason. It is still on Tauron Speedway Euro Championship page on facebook
  15. Looks like it - Redcar are similar, 2 home matches in July, 2 in August both are 1 championship and 1 Summer Trophy. Makes sense to do as you suggest and plan for rescheduled matches and make sure there is space in the fixtures list to get the season finished in September.
  16. Only got involved this year but as far as his attitude goes I have found Kyle very pleasant to deal with this season, no hint of arrogance at all.
  17. I have not tried to follow the NJL before this year and I do not understand why they have a rider in the team whose points do not count. What would be the reason for that?
  18. I know there is mixed opinions on the British lads who only race abroad, but to me that needs setting aside and the British Final should be our top riders regardless of which clubs they race for. It would be very disappointing if some of our top riders want to take part and are excluded. I dont know what stance other nations take, but if would not surprise me if some do as Iainb suggests.
  19. From one of my Polish friends who is checking their media for updates for me "Fortunately, the young Briton did not lose consciousness. He also has feeling in his legs and hands." and "Bewley ended up on a stretcher, the British complained about leg pain in a conversation with rescuers. While still at the Olympic Stadium, he received first medical aid, after which he was taken to one of the hospitals in Wrocław for further examination."
  20. Hope Dan is OK. Saw on twitter a fan who is there saying it was given out that he has feeling, but has an injury to his left leg
  21. Read a quote from Bewley earlier in the season that he wants to ride and will have bikes in UK.
  22. I agree that British Speedway needs to work as one entity. A few teams may be making a profit, but I doubt there are enough of them to form a decent league among themselves if the rest fail. It has to be in the best interest of all to work at a national level to work out how to bring in the audience needed to support at least the minimum number of teams needed for a viable league.
  23. Good point there. With increasing scrutiny on the safety side of motorsports, often from people who are not fans but just see shocking headlines when things go badly wrong, the delay was an opportunity to explain to newer fans what speedway has done to improve this. Air fences are not perfect and do sometimes cause problems and frustrating delays, but they are a big step forward from nothing, or the straw bales that were widely used in road racing.
