  1. Looked up Shale Events Ltd on companies house. Only incorporated on 17th January 2023, only got one shareholder - Greg Notaro-Daniels - anyone heard of him? Seems very last minute if they have been putting a consortium together and putting so much effort and money into the application / presentation. And if it is a consortium wouldn't they all have some shares, not just one person?
  2. Another challenge to the development of young riders that needs sorting out to help secure the future of the sport. As far as I know one I give a bit of help to does not have a junior team place this season, after getting first guest booking at NDL end of last which is a real shame as its bound to have a negative effect on his progress
  3. Agree, practicing helps to a point but experience under race conditions is so valuable and can not be replaced by endless practice. . Learnt that for myself when I had a go at road racing & am certain same holds true for speedway.
  4. Exeter. The first track I ever watched speedway at & going was a treat to look forward to when ever I was back in England visiting family. Redcar second because I've been made very welcome there since I go back into speedway and did get to enjoy some great racing there last season.
  5. I noticed a few gaps in Bears home matches, had same in 2022. Am waiting for the NDL fixtures before booking travel for my holidays to see if I can fit in some meetings while I am over that side of the country
  6. That wouldn't just be a travesty for Workington. Its in the interests of the whole of UK speedway to see Workington, or any other team making a comeback, succeed especially when they have a track that has had a lot of work put into.
  7. I suspect you are right when it comes to the older, more established riders, they will know better than take too much notice of what is said online, but its human nature to want to know what is being said about us & I think that instinct is even stronger in the generation who have grown up with social media. I was surprised when I started helping out on Speedway Updates to get messages on my facebook from a few racers & family of riders who had obviously been reading the comments not just taking a quick look at the scores as I had expected them to.
  8. I have only known and dealt with Kyle since late in last year & absolutely no hint of arrogance about him as far as I am concerned. That is one of the reasons I sponsored him this year, ahead of a couple of others who were initially higher up my list, but couldn't be bothered with me when I first tried to contact them.
  9. Am I right that he is Aussie - if so would we be able to get a work permit?
  10. I am assuming that both parties consider he has a good chance of being fully fit by the start of the season. Maybe best option available within points allowance given the others they wanted?
  11. I've just seen on his Instagram that James Shanes signing is subject to him being fully recovered from injury, so what happens if he is not fit? Are Redcar then able to sign another rider, can they bring in guests, or is it left to others in the team to take on extra heats to cover? I have not got a clue what the rules are is a signing is not fit right from the start of the season.
  12. That surprised me & several friends from Poole said they were sad when they let him go too. Danny King being available was a surprise as well. Two good signings for us there.
