Wrong. The criteria is that the rider has to have been eligible to ride in the NDL (doesn't have to have ridden in it) and not have represented a foreign country. So a British rider who went straight into Premiership or Championship and didn't ride in NDL would still get a reduction, because he was eligible for NDL, but someone who has represented Australia wouldn't.
-
Out of interest, who are the 19 riders who you think shouldn't be in the NDL? Or if it's easier to answer, which is the one rider that you think is the only one who should be in the NDL?

Simon Lambert was in a declared 1-7, so there was no problem with him guesting.

Been working fine for me all day and still working fine now. So the site isn't down. Sounds like a problem at your end. Have you tried clearing history and cookies?

Not on Tuesday they weren't. They may have changed their mind again on Wednesday once the 2 home 2 away was scrapped.

Arena Essex fan on BBC
RoundTheBoards replied to RoundTheBoards's topic in Speedway News and Discussions
Done a bit more investigating. The programme is apparently from BBC3 and it is called "Ru Paul's Drag Race UK". It seems to be a really vulgar version of X-Factor for Pantomime Dames, but without any singing. The lad in the speedway top appears about halfway through as some kind of judge. I wouldn't watch it, but it's here: https://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m001f7cl/rupauls-drag-race-uk-series-4-episode-9 -
Never had any problems here. I mainly use Brave Browser on the computer, and Chrome on the phone.

Did anyone see this on BBC1? Some lad wearing a shirt made up of pictures of an Arena Essex racejacket, Trackstar fork cover, and a Speedway Star logo. Think he said his name was Ole something? He said something about being a competitor in a "Roo Paul Drag Race" (??). (Looking at him I'm guessing this is something to do with people in women's drag rather than actually being drag racing). Whatever it is, it said it was coming on BBC iplayer soon.

They weren't on Tuesday when Championship was set to be 2 home & 2 away. Bewick, Armadale and Plymouth were all set to dump NDL. Did they change their minds on Wednesday?
-
No. Someone else trying to grab the Lions share of the heat leaders

Oxford's crowds at Championship and NDL level seemed pretty healthy to me. I can see them being the only Championship club to also run a NDL team next year.

Bewley isn't a problem. Belle Vue have a budget and he fits within it. My sources Cambridgeshire way say it's another club who are throwing silly money around and have been tapping up Peterborough riders, which caused yesterday's delay as it threatened to destroy a deal for the Panthers Premiership future.

Maybe that's about to change.....

Did someone turn up with a list of a hundred of his mates that he thought should be given a book as a freebie?

Swindon Robins 2020
RoundTheBoards replied to Crazy robin's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
You might think he's got no interest in Speedway, but apart from creating Britain's most successful speedway at the Bristol Superdome, he's also been a promoter at Oxford. Poole, Swindon, Reading, White City and Wembley. It's true because it says so on that website. And we all know that the Clarkster wouldn't tell lies. I wouldn't mind betting that he's also secretly been 7-times world champion. -
Swindon Robins 2020

From that www.swindonmotorsports.co.uk comedy site:- "Clarke Osborne Clarke is Chairman of Gaming International the owners of the Swindon Stadium at Abbeymeads. Not known by many, Clarke has a long history in Speedway and motorsport, including the creation and operation of the most successful Speedway venue of the modern era in Bristol. " At first I thought they'd mistyped "Bristol" for "Manchester", but Clarke Osborne has nothing to do with that. So I can only assume I have missed the Bristol Superdome. Can anyone tell me where it is? -
It's more like Bullseye. You get your bus fare home..... But come and have a look at what you could have won.

Shame on Sheffield
RoundTheBoards replied to dontforgetthefueltapsbruv's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
How can it be that of the two clubs contesting the League Championship play--off:- Belle Vue have staged 10 Premiership matches, 7 National League matches, 2 League Cup matches, 2 play-off ties, The Peter Craven Trophy, The British Final, (and a half of a British Final), and will still be staging a Premiership Pairs round. but Shefiield have only staged 9 premiership matches, 2 League Cup matches and 2 play-off ties? -
Apparently Collins is signing copies of his book at some pub near Belle Vue on 27 October. A bit unfair if people can walk up and just buy a copy there, and get it before the people who paid for the advance copy back in the spring and have been waiting 5 months.
-
Wonder if David Clarke might make a comeback?
-
Seven pairs of National League riders take on a pair of Championship riders who have the advantage of racing on their own track with its huge home advantage. Great work BSPL. This could have been a good meeting if staged at Sheffield or Scunthorpe or King's Lynn or Peterborough etc etc. Instead it's a borefest where we already know the winners. Give it a swerve.

According to a rider it's going to be called off. Official decision to be made at 10am.

So that'll be "No. I can't come up with a better team than the one Kent had. I take back my comment about them needing to be disciplined for a terrible team. They did the best they could under incredibly unfortunate circumstances"
