If he is your mate why do you want his team to finish at the bottom of the league, clearly that will never happen but I struggle to understand your dislike for Poole speedway.I've read your posts and some are funny and realistic and some are well just controversial and this is a forum for real speedway fans.Poole are successful because they build teams to win,i wish all other clubs were able to build the same strength teams and the league would be more closer.Older fans will remember when riders were told what teams they could join to keep things equal.
-
Went to Hackney every time Poole were the visitors as it's only up the road and when Super Simmo used to guest for Hackney which he did more than once, excellent track but car park was difficult as unless you got there early you all parked in rows and could not move till all in front moved but good times and they had some entertaining rider Zenon Plech and Bo Petersen to name but a few.
-
I think Ben Cook will be pushing Worrall in the averages next season.Lawson very clever rider happy to come 2nd so his average is not to high gives him more scope for guest bookings but I may be wrong am I ?
-
And following on from the Piratecast Danny mentioned a couple of guest's for the jubilee match so for a bit of fun and we all like to guess who's in and who's not then who do we think will be our guests against Leicester,I am looking towards the Holders,Kurtz or a long shot Magic as a one of he might fancy the gig.Anyone want to throw any other names into the hat ?.
-
But on shale even with your anti Poole hat on Worrall and Lawson will deliver and the Cooks will only get better indeed Ben I reckon will overtake Worrall in the averages,Thomas seems an excellent signing going by the opinion On here so that looks a good side so far now I know nothing about your mate but if he's that good and given we've got one more to sign and I'm sure HGOULD knows who that is roll on the season.
-
That's ok if you have a good 6 man team which is what Poole had last season and carried a 2pt reserve who tried as he did but never won a race. This season the 2 pointers will win races against each other but won't beat anyone else most of the time.
-
If 5-6 sides are near equal we could have some excellent meetings this season.Don't want any one sided matches they are about as exciting as rock climbing.
-
Clearly you have an issue with Poole with this soppy comment so to back it up HOW do you know it was known on 23rd of November,
-
With a few 2 point reserves in sides next season if these two become our 6 and 7 we will win a few races although I know nothing about Roynon apart from his commentary on streamed meetings last season it was him wasn't it.Newman done well when he started at Poole I'm sure he'd be happy to return but Matt may surprise us all.

I have the attitude as you do if you want to go you will go.I realise money is tight but how tight,I don't want to sound arrogant or whatever the word is but people say life is to short so who gives a monkey's about money if you've got it and enjoy speedway i can't believe £20 -£30 quid is to much for a night's enjoyment especially if you have a local track.I'm sure my friends brother would love to spend money to go to a meeting but he can't as he went to bed one night a few years ago and never woke up that's why I don't worry about spending money.Enjoy what you can afford don't think something is to expensive it's only money.

SGB Championship 2023 Confirmed Signings
Essex replied to Nickinho's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Fair point Lisa the Ford's don't get much wrong and if he is in next year's team who am I to judge just didn't understand his behaviour at not wanting to be involved in the final celebration. -
SGB Championship 2023 Confirmed Signings
Essex replied to Nickinho's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
Drew Kemp thought he was a good signing last season but his attitude after winning the play off was awful completely sulking unless he had a family issue then don't think Poole fans would want him back. -
I suppose no team is complete until riders have signed the club contract so if Poole have as you suggest gazumped a couple then it's like man utd or man city come calling you don't think twice as big crowds and possibility of winning trophies is a deciding factor and do Poole pay more money I've no idea but would think Glasgow are the top payers no evidence at all but just a guess.Who was the Redcar rider who run away to another team.As for Jack Thomas if your initial suggestion is true he could be a trump card at reserve.
-
I have no idea but do you think riders say to clubs i'm waiting for so and so club to offer me a place if not I'll sign for you,is that how speedway works ? Oh and I have put two posts on Brum site but as a Poole fan I am not looking to take over this site but just answering two posts.
-
£20 is a lot to some people but if you can afford it and love you speedway then there's a turnstile waiting for you.Can I ask what did you pay the last time you attended a Newcastle meeting ?.
-
No surprise at all think all interest is in the three we don't know and who's guesses turn out to be correct.
-
The black pig I think was his ship ? More gifts well most have been opened we have four presents that don't need unwrapping but the last three do are some of them from the sandpaper gate country or closer to home.
-
I reckon he will be better than his uncle who was very entertaining and very funny and despite winning a medal and having the same broom for all his career only made it to road sweeper.
-
If Brum lost this sort of money and Glasgow even more and never won anything and yes I know you get nothing ££££ wise for winning and trophies don't matter to some On here but the promoters must have money to burn or this is an expensive plaything. What sort of business sense is this or is this the norm, can't believe the Ford's run Poole on that basis.
-
Who is the better of the twins
-
Kyle Howarth does and backs up my opinion that speedway is about winning trophies and not just about riders just doing a job to feed their family and earning money he said I want to win stuff I want trophies On my cv so all you people who have said trophies etc mean nothing and I got shot down by some on here for suggesting that was the case I rest my case.
-
And that's not what meant I was not being derogatory towards the owners purely my take On it that they invest in your team and must be disappointed not to win trophies or maybe they are not.Still you pay your money and take your choice.
-
Need to support home grown talent but we had Nathan Ablitt last season and he scored more points for Belle Vue Colts last season than Milford and never won a race for Poole but with lower team building points limit he may win a race or two so could be a good signing or go for Nathan he has ridden all the tracks and would be a better bet going On league track experience.
-
Trophies are a bonus but surely no promoter gets into speedway to come second.Glasgow is an excellent club but be honest can you say your promoter is happy with their considerable investment they make every season and I'm only going On what's been said on here I've no idea what they invest in £'s to not win trophies.Poole have the Ford's who despite what has been said on here is a "jumped up hairdresser " knows how to build winning teams and this last season we had an excellent track as for one sided meetings yes a few but I would love for every meeting to be close and you would think as all sides build to the same points pre season you would get close meetings but that is not the case, still it is what it is and look forward to next season and who knows what 7 Poole will start with well we know 4 we all guess the rest.
-
Excellent news just wondering can the old track not be taken over by the people looking to start this project or is that a non starter as I'm obviously not from that area
