I’d rather have 10 years of speedway than 1 crowd of 6-7k per season. Hes risking you losing your weekly speedway, closing the club you love for what seems to look like prams being thrown out of the pram. when the going gets tough, the tough get stronger, not quit

no, totally get that and agree with you, of course i want the best here, i want more of them here though, just having 1 or 2 dont really work for me. but im a die hard so ill go watch any speedway so suppose im the wrong guy to discuss this with 😂

we all want to see the best, thats who we enjoy most, but lets not lie to ourselves, do the top boys produce best racing??? in poland yes where the level of competition is much more level. over here 90% of the time, the kurtz, bewleys, doyles, frickes, emils, holders of this world just gate and clear off winning by the length of the straight, theirs only really heats 13 and &15 we look forward to, and then most of the time the tracks aint prepped to produce good racing anyway. championship for me does have better racing due to most of them being on a similar level. was it around 2016/17 when they changed the race format and all the top boys raced each other and the lower team raced each other, racing wise that was a phenomenal season, but obviously messed up riders averages, if they could bring that format again the sport could blossom with a premiership

heard a rumour months ago that they would be champ with king at 1, but king at plymouth and nothing mentioned about mildenhall since so im guessing mildenhall was interested in a comeback but it has since cooled

Ipswich I assume under new owners, remember Louis said he wouldn’t go champ or if it’s a 5 team league he will step away. no one wants to see a 5 teams league. Would be the worst decision ever. just hope it’s a just a rumour.

It is toys out the pram sadly. I called it weeks ago, this is not a shock. same will happen with belle vue i understand they want a top league and top riders, we all do, but unfortunately it just doesn’t work here, get to one league for 26, try stable the ship and review things for next season. speedways not dying, I don’t believe this because the championship seems to be a mini success, so a year in champ won’t be the end of it. also, could still be 2 leagues. Louis wouldn’t race with 5 teams. All the others would so maybe there will be a 5 team top league with Ipswich included under new owners (guy nicholls or them that wanted to bring back Northampton)

It’s hard to gauge any truth right now. It’s very much a closed shop and nothing much is leaking out. And about time to I’d say

louis wont go champ and he wont go with 5 teams. it doesn't sound good for Ipswich running in 2026 but this is why pushing out the AGM to January is the right thing to do, imagine a sport without its champions, be more comical than it is now. just hope the rumours about Leicester and Sheffield being accepted to champ isnt true

Thursday nights are the nights for me. Thursday is generally the student night where things are much cheaper for them, go to unis, give them huge discounts to start there nights out at the speedway before partying the night away in the city centres.

i think the guys that that wanted to bring speedway to Northampton didnt realise the cost it would take so they next best option is to invest in oxford and keep the prem team going, whether they change name i dont know or just keep the oxford spiers going
