  1. I agree. Something has to give and a compromise has to be met between PREM & CHAMP Promoters.
  2. British Speedway is running into a brick wall which ever way it turns. It's just a case of how hard do the BSPL want to hit that wall? Every solution leads to a dead end due to Financial Costs, Rider Availbility and the 2027 Polish Rule.
  3. Going to sound hypocritical but British Speedway was in a much different state back then in all fairness.
  4. It will all depend on whether CHAMP Clubs are prepared to give up FRI & SAT Race Nights in favour of MON & THU Nights. That will allow for some flexibility on the Rider situation.
  5. It's not working I agree with you, But the alternative is a 1 Million % destined failure because mathematics state that it is. Despite a weaker standard in 1 Big League, Ticket Prices won't drop because Clubs Rent Bills won't drop, Rider Wages won't drop and other expenses won't drop because everything goes up in price when it comes to the World that we all live in today. Basically Clubs have got to convince Fans to pay £20 plus other expenses to watch almost 2 Dozen NDL Riders propping up One Big League that they currently have no interest in paying to watch. That's the problem.
  6. I apologise to anyone who finds this disrespectful. NDL attendances are abysmal and that's because the vast majority of Die Hard Fans that we've still got left couldn't care less about it. So how on earth are we suppose to get a New Generation of Fans on board when it comes to the same crop of NDL Riders that'll be propping up 1 Big League to cover mass departures of PREM Riders? Here's the math. 27 of the 49 PREM Riders who ended the 2025 Season in a declared 1-7 D/UP'd in the CHAMP = 55% of the League and those 27 Riders will no longer be shared between PREM & CHAMP Clubs. If One Big League was to happen and fixtures didn't take place on a MON & THU Night, Then we're going to need replacements for the other 22 Riders who finished the 2025 Season in a declared PREM 1-7 as none of them will be here. Add that Rider shortage up and also take into account the 2027 Polish Rule and you'll see that One Big League is a 1 Million % destined failure before it's even begun.
  7. Sweden (TUE), Denmark (WED) and Poland (FRI-SUN) dictates that the PREM has to run on MON & THU Nights. Not at all, I just can't see a call for Jack Smith and co, The One Big League is not even going to be anywhere near the current standard of the CHAMP unless everyone runs on a MON & THU Night. I've done the math, One Big League is impossible to work unless everyone runs on a MON & THU Night. Not enough Heat Leaders and that's a FACT whether you run 5 Man Teams or 7, I've literally posted the CHAMP Heat Leader List on here Twice and the Numbers simply don't add up. Two Tier Structure = Slow the death process down to 1 Club per year unless Osborne picks another off. One Big League = Speed the death process up due to a Lack of Riders, The Polish 2027 Rule causing further havoc and the threat of Riders going down the Rory Schlein path of Retirment due to a job outside of the Sport.
  8. I'm really not, My posts are just rubbing Fans up the wrong way. I'm just very Pro-PREM while other Fans are very much against it which is totally fine as they're entitled to an opinion as am I. Imo GP / Ekstraliga Riders competing in Britain on MON & THU Nights is the be all and end all when it comes to British Speedway. I really don't see a future for British Speedway if the PREM collapses because One Big Medicore League would be of such a weak standard where no GP / Ekstraliga Riders are on show that it will struggle to create a next generation of fans which the Sport in the UK badly needs. Whether the PREM collapses or not, I'll always fight it's corner through the good times and bad times.
  9. Would it be possible for Peterborough to run at King's Lynn in 2026? Extra time to get the Showground ready for 2027.
  10. This is a British Speedway equivalent of a Round Table on The Traitors. At this rate, Claudia Winkleman may as well host the AGM in January.
  11. Say they go for another CHAMP Club instead of Poole while Osborne has them lined-up. That'll be the defintion of killing two birds with one stone. Having said that... My gut feeling as of this moment is that BSPL Chairman Rob Godfrey will end up taking one for the Sport but he'll keep Pickering to build his PREM team around.
  12. Don't take this the wrong way as I'm really not trying to offend you or any other Poole fan here. That's exactly why Poole should prop the PREM up considering they're the next target for The Grim Reaper Osborne. Wednesday Night's shouldn't hold much pull in a AGM discussion when Poole haven't really got a future to risk. Only real problem is finances but the PREM Clubs can come to a contractual agreement with Poole that states any financial losses will be covered in full to ensure that the Ford Family break even on the season.
  13. I guarantee Ipswich will still have Doyle with or without a TV deal in a PREM league. Everything is fine on the Sponsorship front, Without being bias towards Ipswich even JCB has already renewed with Leicester for 2026.
  14. Why doesn't Harry Redknapp invest some finances into Poole in order to get them running at PREM level?
  15. TNT Deal wasn't great tbh, It was more about getting the Sport on TV. Unfortunately TNT didn't really put any effort in but I'm not surprised considering they already got rid of it previously. In TNT's eyes they just got lumbered with British Speedway when the EUROSPORT takeover happened.
  16. Because everything will be null and void if a change in League Structure happend. So effictively they'll be wasting their time. Literally no point in a CHAMP Club even announcing another signing as it means nothing until a 6 Team PREM is 100% official.
  17. PREM needs changing, I 100% Agree. I'd start with a One Rider Over 8.00 Per Team to ensure that everyone has a big hitter. I'd then bring in another rule that states both Reserve positions have be filled by British Youngsters (No Older than 24) but a grading system will be in place to ensure that a particular Club or Clubs don't sign 2 Ringers like Leon Flint and Dan Thompson. I'd have a Tier 1 List for Riders like Flint & D. Thompson, Then I'd have a Tier 2 List for Riders like Freddy Hodder & Vinnie Foord.....Clubs can only sign 1 Rider from each list to ensure that everyone has a strong No.6. That'll lower the wage bill a bit and it'll invest more when it comes to British Youngsters.
  18. It doesn't matter though because mathematics state that Clubs will have to go without. Literally no way that we can get a level playing field in 1 Big League unless all CHAMP Teams are prepared to run on a MON & THU Night which eases the pressure on Heat Leader Rider Availability. Hence why this is all one big mess with no real positive outcome.
  19. It's one big mess with no real positive outcome to be honest Tim. It's basically a case of how many Clubs will get dealt a bad hand. Two Tier Structure limits the damage to 1 Club.
  20. I'm saying the PREM Teams in 1 Big League would swoop all of the big hitting CHAMP Heat Leaders up and leave the current CHAMP Clubs fighting over scraps like Craig Cook and Troy Batchelor. PREM Clubs have already got deals in place for the Best of British at PREM level on a higher wage than they curently earn at CHAMP level. PREM Clubs will just honour those contracts and they'll be valid for 1 Big League instead of a PREM League. PREM Clubs will be saving a fortune on GP & Ekstraliga Riders and that's the red flag for CHAMP Clubs.
  21. Just propping this up again. You can clearly see that the Numbers don't add up when it comes to Heat Leaders. The only way you can ease the Heat Leader Rider shortage for 1 Year in 1 Big League is by running all fixtures on a MON & THU Night that'll see us keep Riders like Ryan Douglas, Niels-Kristian Iversen and co. However running Fixtures on a MON & THU Night doesn't favour CHAMP Clubs when the vast majority of them like to run on FRI & SAT Night's. Therefore the only real solution here......Is a sacrificial lamb being used to prop up the PREM and if nothing happens on the Northampton/Peterborough front then it'll be a CHAMP Club being forced up. The Promoters and the BSPL simply don't have any other choice on the table due to Heat Leader Rider shortage.
  22. CHAMP Clubs are heavily reliant on the Best of British being the backbone of their 1-7's for a wage that suits all parties. They'll be taken away from them as the PREM Teams will need replacements for GP & Ekstraliga Riders. Riders will just sign for the PREM Teams for the bigger money contracts that they were already going to get at PREM level. No Team Building Rules or Grading System can stop the inevitable as their simply isn't enough Heat Leaders to go round in a 14 Team League whether you run 5 Man Teams or 7 Man Teams. Not even enough Riders on 6.00 - 6.99 GSA's for 1 Per a Team let alone No.1's on 8+ GSA's.
  23. Speedway is in a mess across the globe mate, Some top level Polish and Swedish Teams aren't doing to well either.
  24. PREM Clubs can give CHAMP Clubs a taste of their own medicine in a blink of an eye. Everything will work out in the end though, I've got 100% faith in it.
  25. Someone will blink, Just a case of who it's going to be. Oxford might be forced into a U-Turn against their will that see's CHAMP being dropped for PREM but this time given assurances of a No.1 and financial help if needed. BSPL Chairman Godfrey will have to take one for the team, But gets to keep Pickering to build a PREM 1-7 around.
