If Rowe isn't returning, Then this is the list of replacements that fit within the criteria. PREM GSA Under 5.34 -> Blodorn (Ekstraliga) CHAMP Riders on GSA's between 6.00 - 7.99 after 2.5% Reduction who rode in the 2025 CHAMP Season. Howarth, Kemp, Nagel, Palovaara, Sedgmen, Z. Cook, Flint, Riss, Batchelor, Catagna, S. Worrall, Vuolas, N. Morris, Edwards, Allen, Barker, Jenkins, Mountain and Palm Toft Then you break down that list by removing all of the Riders who've gone elsewhere along with Riss's quotes in the Speedway Star as well as S. Worrall's Retirement and see what options you're left with. I do think Z. Cook will do a U-Turn and help Poole out if they ask him to though.
-
Agree, Trying to be fair by sharing out No.1's in 2026 and to crack down on the CHAMP getting any stronger imo. PREM GSA x 1.5 is the conversion so any PREM GSA over 5.33 = 8.00+ Blodorn is the only PREM Rider who fits within in the conversion rate who didn't ride in the CHAMP this year so basically it's going to be the same pool of CHAMP Riders again in 2026 only this time the big hitters will be shared around. Will still get the odd newcomer on a assessed CHAMP GSA of 4.00 - 5.00 though but that doesn't help when Poole are looking for a No.5 if Anders is departing and Z. Cook gets offers from abroad.
-
Come up with some Riders who can fill the void like i've been doing and you'll see the picture. I've listed every rider on a GSA between 6.00 - 7.99 after British Reduction. One Rider Over 8.00 Rule as well don't forget, So if you're looking for a PREM rider who didn't ride in the CHAMP this year then his PREM GSA will have to be lower than 5.34. The only Rider who didn't ride in the CHAMP this year on a PREM GSA Under 5.34 is Blodorn and he's riding in the Ekstraliga as well as Europe so no chance of him at Poole. Only real get out of jail card is a Zach Cook U-Turn.
-
One Rider Over 8.00 Rule don't forget so that doesn't help when it comes to PREM riders who didn't ride in the CHAMP this year. No CHAMP Riders on GSA's between 6.00 - 6.99 seem to be available. S. Worrall (Retired) Vuolas (Workington) N. Morris (Highly likely to D/UP for Stewart at Berwick and Leicester) Barker (Plymouth) Edwards, Allen and Jenkins (100% Redcar) Mountain & Palm Toft (Scunthorpe)

Where I'm at. TV Deal, 36.00 Limit for a Top 5 and One Rider Over 8.00 Rule. 1. D. Bewley 8.64 2. A. Ellis 5.92 3. T. Brennan 7.05 4. D. King 6.50 or K. Rew 6.19 5. J. Doyle 7.86 = 35.97 / 35.66 NO TV Deal, 36.00 Limit for a Top 6 and One Rider Over 8.00 Rule. 1. J. Doyle 7.86 2. S. Nicholls 5.25 3. K. Rew 6.19 4. A. Ellis 5.92 5. T. Brennan 7.05 6. J. Jenkins 3.46 (25% Discount) 7. J. Edwards (RS) = 35.73

Basically a Zach Cook U-Turn or Poole are stuffed for the first time in years as I named all of the riders on 7.00-7.99 GSA's after 2.5% Discount last night. Need some experienced big hitters to level out the inexperience in the side. Kerr and Batch are declining riders, One of them in the engine room is fine but both of them @ No.3 & No.5 respectively is a NO NO.
-
Poole in big trouble if Anders has left. I just don't see any riders on Averages of 7.99 or Less after 2.5% Reduction who can replace him. Could be looking at Kerr and Batchelor @ No.3 & No.5. Howarth (Glasgow I'd imagine) Kemp (Burnt bridges at Poole) Nagel (Wednesday Night Danish League) Palovaara (Practically no chance of Victor getting anywhere near his GSA) Sedgmen (Edinburgh I'd imagine) Z. Cook (Rumour is he's not competing in the Championship in 2026) Flint (Glasgow I'd imagine) Riss (Said NO to UK Racing in 2026) Castagna (Edinburgh I'd imagine)

Not surprised at all that Ipswich won't match Leicester's offer for Dan Thompson tbh. Adam Ellis and Dan Thompson's GSA's are seperated by 0.05 and Adam Ellis is much better around Foxhall so if it's 36.00 for a Top 5 then it would've been a straight choice between the two riders anyway.

1. N. Klindt 8.36 or P. Kildemand 8.05 2. J. Etheridge 5.45 3. T. Zischke 5.76 4. J. Hook 5.57 5. A. Vuolas 6.87 6. J. Grahn 5.30 7. D. Ritchings 2.29 = 39.60 / 39.21

Rowe signed a 2 Year Deal so I think Danny was referring to a replacement for Zach Cook.
-
A rider on the up is Douggie, It's a gamble for sure but it's a gamble that I'd take as well. 36.00 for a Top 5. 1. R. Douglas 2. D. Thompson 3. T. Brennan???? 4. L. Becker or R. Lawson 5. S. Masters 36.00 for a Top 6. 1. R. Douglas 2. K. Howarth 3. N. Morris 4. D. Thompson 5. S. Masters 6. Just under 4.00
-
Not for Ipswich, Need a replacement for Emil. I do get your point though and playing devils advocate if they did want Bewley to go to Northampton to help with crowd levels then they'll have to bring in a rule stating 1 GP Rider Per Team so Ipswich can't go for him unless they released Doyle.
-
I still say Bewley @ No.1. I think the One Rider Over 8.00 Rule will come into play in the PREM as well to ensure that Northampton are competitive.
-
I've heard the same, Must be 36.00 for a Top 5 and another rule where both reserves have to be British youngsters under a certain age. If it's 36.00 for 6 Riders then Fricke, Kvech, Harris & Klindt only leaves 6.21 for 2 Riders.
-
What are your thought's Lions fans in regards to Fricke's rumoured move to King's Lynn. Fricke is a very good rider on UK tracks however I think it's a good call by Stewart Dickson.

What will 2026 UK speedway bring?
TTT replied to Lionsman66's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
That's fine Fromafar, Everyone's entitled to have a view/opinion whether it's in agreement or disagreement All I'm saying is that the math doesn't add up when it comes to Rider Availability so the CHAMP in it's current format would have to be scrapped if it's one big league. We're in a mess and a longer term solution has to be found at the AGM, Northampton in the PREM isn't the answer as we'll be back here in the same situation in 12 Months time. -

Yes but it doesn't matter because every club / promoter will be going anyway if things continue to be run in the same manner. Once the PREM goes, The CHAMP goes with it and that is the major thing that's flying over fans heads here. 5 Man Teams in a heavily watered down 1 Big League will be British Speedway's future if Mates keep being put first before the Sport at AGM's, The 1 Big Watered League wouldn't even be anywhere near current CHAMP standard let alone PREM standard. Promoters will have an even bigger problem to deal with then. -

So nobody agree's regarding Glasgow, Fair enough. What would be your stable solution with a view that lasts longer than 1-2 Season's? Nothing changes until the attitude / tone changes at the AGM, If they keep on putting Mates preferences first over the Sport then it only ends one way. -

I fully understand most of your points and the logic they hold. Just my personal opinion, I think Glasgow is a fantastic club that's very well run and to me they're competing below their level. In Football terms it's a bit like Newcastle United competing in the EFL Championship. In my opinion for British Speedway to move forward the whole outlook towards the Sport needs radical change, AGM's should no longer be based around what's best for me and my club only. They're all to pally pally for me and nobody wants to upset each other so almost everyone gets whatever they want to the detriment of the Sport overall. Ruthless decisions have to be made for the benefit of the Sport and squabbling over little things like Race Night's should no longer be given the time of day. Despite my opinion, Nothing will change at this AGM and Northampton will be sacrificed and it will be a very short lived return to Speedway and we will all be back here in 12 Months time back at square one. -

Clubs should start operating that way, Do away with online ticket sales as well. Pay on the Gate, Cash Only. -
Think Kildemand will be your No.1, Doesn't ride in Poland these day's so it makes all the sense in the World. Berwick would be stupid not to retain Jeppesen.
