Berwick ‘buy a brick’ Bandits 2025
TTT replied to emilali's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
8.50 Champ confirmed on Berwick's rider profile page for PK which means that he must be a 6.00 in the Prem. -
Oxford have learnt a lesson this winter, Don't go chasing a pipe dream that's very unlikely to become a reality (Bewley) Utter madness and now they've left themselves well short in 2025 to a point where they're relying on the old Kildemand to turn up, Relying on Tungate to become an established No.1 over a full season in a stronger 2025 Premiership as well as relying on a rider from Europe to fill the last spot otherwise they're well under the limit with a British based rider like Steve Worrall, Justin Sedgmen, Lewis Kerr etc.
-
It would've helped if they let us know in the AGM press release. Berwick's rider profile page does have Kildemand down as 8.50 though so perhaps the conversion rate is now 1.4 and the higher ups have just rounded the assessed Kildemand figure up to 8.50 instead of 8.40.
-
Berwick have now confirmed Kildemand's average of 8.50 which means he's a 6.00 in the Premiership.
-
Kildemand confirmed as the No.1 at Berwick. Conversion rate is x 1.5 isn't it? Therefore Kildemand has to be on a GSA over 5.50 considering Cook's Championship average is 8.42 after the 2.5% Reduction. Erik Riss' 5.55 Premiership average only converts into a 8.32 Championship average.

SGB Championship - 2025 Predictions
TTT replied to StarBoy's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
1. GLASGOW (Weak reserve pairing but the top 5 is brilliant, Expect Boughen to kick on riding at No.2 with Harris at No.1) 2. POOLE (Assuming they sign Cairns when eligible to ride) 3. REDCAR (Brilliant top 5 see's them comfortably finish in the top 4 imo) 4. OXFORD (Based on Nicholls signing once he's recovered from surgery) 5. WORKINGTON (Young team with lots of improvement in them imo) 6. SCUNTHORPE (Strong Home Form will see them finish in mid-table imo) 7. BERWICK (Schlein will be going through the motions and if the replacement is Nick Morris then he might take a while to get going) 8. EDINBURGH (Sedgmen and Castagna at No.1 & No.5 isn't going to cut it in 2025 imo) 9. PLYMOUTH (They won't pose a threat to anyone in 2025 no matter who the final signings are imo) -
Kildemand defo worth the punt if he's on a 4.50/5.00. Not the same rider he was but at least you're getting more than 2 points off of his last GSA on these shores.
-
Looked underwhelming at the time but Stewart Dickson might have made a shrewd move when putting Leicester's 1-7 together. They've got 6 experienced riders on British tracks who can all hit the ground running. A couple of other clubs will be relying on newcomers / returning riders to get it right from the get go and like we saw with Janowski in 2024 it can take a long time to get back into the groove on our tracks.
-
Demoltion Derby at Sandy Lane next season if Kildemand rides at No.4 with Wright at No.3.
-
I guess we will find out at the weekend if Oxford keep announcing daily signings. Would help if they went down the Workington route in regards to press releases by telling everyone what averages riders have been Assessed/Reassessed to.
-
Kildemand wouldn't be a 5.00 because he's not a newcomer unlike Lampart last year who was handed a 5.00 For what it's worth returning riders to British Speedway last year like Pawlicki and Milik were given 7.50's. I'd expect Kildemand to be given a minimum of 6.00.
-
Oxford need the old Peter Kildemand in 2025 because the side isn't looking that good on paper when you compare it with other teams 1-7's.
-
Now it's time for the make or break signings, We've had the 5 confirmed that everyone figured out but the last two will decided whether it's a play-off team or a challenger for the wooden spoon.
-
Castagna, Vissing and a 2.00 Pointer to finish off?
-
Despite Scott's comments, I don't think we'll see him on a bike again. Bound to have second thoughts at some stage during the recovery process considering his age plus he's got his punditry work with Discovery so it's not like he'd be leaving Speedway entirely.

Last 5 premiership rider predictions…
TTT replied to SamKM91's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
BIR (Kim, Thorssell & Jeppesen) OX (Gilkes and Huckenbeck) -
1. IPSWICH (Only injuries can stop them from a clean sweep of trophies in 2025) 2. BELLE VUE (Despite the downgrade from Ben Cook to Zach Cook they still look like the best of the rest on paper) 3. KING'S LYNN (Write them off at your peril but this 1-7 is rock solid and it's a play-off side for sure imo) 4. LEICESTER (Originally I didn't have Leicester down for a play-off spot but other teams have some serious question marks over them) 5. SHEFFIELD (The tail end is far too weak to do anything on the road, Winning Bonus Points will be a struggle imo) 6. BIRMINGHAM (Have put together a good side but it's a lot of riders returning to Britain and it could take a while for them to settle back in) 7. OXFORD (Gilkes rumoured to be the No.6 and if it happens then Oxford will be at least 2.00 under the limit even if they do get a No.1)
-
Agree, No wooden spoon for Brum next year.
-
Already looking better than Oxford's side.
-
Oxford are in a bit of trouble here. 13.40 left for 2 riders with Gilkes rumoured to be at No.6 would leave over 10.00 points for one rider. Any GP/Ekstraliga newcomer would be assessed as an 8.00 so that's at least 2 points under the limit (If they can get a No.1) assuming Gilkes does sign which I suspect he will otherwise he wouldn't have left Sheffield at the eleventh hour.
-
With Gilkes it was a risky side imo but at least Gilkes had the scope to get better whilst Hume has had numerous chances in the Premiership already.
-
Sheffield should never have kept all 3 HL's, Not going anywhere with those reserves.
-
