Belle Vue v Ipswich Monday 4th August Live on TV
TTT replied to racers and royals's topic in SGB Premiership Speedway League
Brennan is back on form again, Filled his boots in the KOCUP Final, Won a race in Sweden on Tuesday which featured Kubera, Lambert & Zmarzlik and he's had a top peformance in Poland today. Belle Vue to win this one though as Doyle & Emil haven't been anywhere near top form this season. -
Birmingham v Sheffield Mon 4th August PL2

Sheffield at a canter. -
Kurtz WC this year, He'll win the Wroclaw round as well imo.

Left it far too late. If it wasn't for the slow start then KL would've caused Ipswich a whole load of problems along with Leicester in the play-offs.
-
The worries fans had including my self pre-season regarding Sheffield's line-up unfortunately came true. One big injury to a big hitter and they were stuffed unless they struck gold with a GP rider making themselves available due to the team being too top heavy. Left throwing Darts at declining riders as well as a rider who's nowhere near race fit after a lengthy ban. Should've always been a choice between C. Holder and Woffinden for the No.5 berth with J. Holder & Pickering at No.1 & 3 respectively.

Is he though? From May onwards he's only failed to ride to his average 3 times when you take out the Bonus Points (Signed on a 7.76) Think the ownership are at fault for expecting far too much from Lewi tbh.
-
Imagine how much Sheffield would've owed in wages if Woffinden was still in the team as well. Now everything makes sense in regards to 2026. Are Nick Morris and Jye Etheridge an improvement on Lewis Kerr and Justin Sedgmen, I'd say no with a lot of confidence. Were Lewis Kerr and Justin Sedgmen just riding poorly on purpose because they were owed money is the question.

Prediction. When KL lose the final (Sorry but Leicester are a cut above everyone at the moment) then Buster will give up on the season and sign Kerr as Cook's replacement after he gets sacked at Sheffield.

Sheffield v Leicester - BSN 24/07/2025

Leicester looking even more impressive with every passing meeting. Sheffield have morphed into the Gorzow of British Speedway where they're relying on a youngster at reserve to do other riders jobs for them. -
Said KL were one to keep an eye on before a wheel was turned. Started slow but they're hitting a good run of form now, Great chance of winning the Final imo.

Fricke with another brilliant showing, If only Howarth didn't have a shocker then the result could've been much different. Leicester are a handful for anyone this season, Very good side.

Sheffield v Oxford Monday 14th July Live on TV

Unwatchable last night, Abysmal race track nowdays which is a shame considering Sheffield used to be a great track. -
I still think Ipswich will come good when it matters most but I must admit that I too am losing a lot of confidence in this team. Wasn't impressed by the performance at Oxford on TNT and last night was just ridiculous to lose to a 3 Man Team. I've been very impressed with Leicester recently and I think they're performing consistently better than Ipswich at this moment in time.

Leicester Lions vs Oxford Spires - Thu 10th July

He went missing against top class opposition far too often last season away from home. This year he's consistently good everytime he takes to a Premiership track no matter who the opposition is. -

What a ride by Fricke, He's morphed into a proper out and out No.1 this season.
