But that's pretty much how it's been in the past...and history shows it didn't work. You can easily have riders with loads of talent who lack big sponsors and the best equipment and mechanics etc...and you put them up against riders who've had a full GP season, with all the details, back-up and experience that comes with that and you hope for a fair contest You also have to stage this one all-important meeting at a place likely to create advantage for some and not others. It CAN be great for fans, but it's never likely to be fair. Do away with qualifying altogether...less meetings, less injuries, less disruption, less cost.

Thanks to the badly planned GP schedule, this is another venue that's most likely going to provide the riders with slick, dry, powdery conditions (I'm hoping it rains quite a bit, to liven things up). It should certainly suit Gollob and Nicki...and it will help Adams a lot. I can see Greg making something of a comeback in this one too... As for the Brits, both have lacked even more speed than usual lately, so unless they have made big changes I'm not expecting either to shine. Determination can often go a long way though... Fingers crossed for a good meeting !

Face fits ? Yes, I'd agree... But the qualification system is nonsense, so that earns no respect from me either. Personally, I'd invite the top five or maybe six from this year series (no one outside the top six has a hope of winning the overall title) to return full-time in 2008 - all the other ten/eleven places in each GP would be wildcards. Based on previous performances, local interest, age and potential, and how they are scoring in every league in which they compete. If a rider entertains really well, he gets put into the next GP as reward...same if he makes the Final. To name five now, is easy...it would obviously be Nicki, Adams, Crump, Hans and Gollob. No other rider, except possibly Greg (5% chance ?) can lay claim to the World Championship, so why give them a season's worth of GP's unless they prove themselves ? Now what we have is a system where we end up having to watch riders who maybe qualified, maybe were seeded, but are no longer deserving...and haven't been since the end of the first Grand Prix ! p.s I'd also bin practice, that's a complete joke ! And I wouldn't have more than 10 GP's.

According to the interview I read with his own words..."he felt no pressure at the SWC. Gollob looked after the whole team and took the pressure for them". I can believe that and I've seen nothing yet to show that KK can handle it well at all. He either rides very badly or gets mad !
