  1. Sounds as if project still has legs. Any update?
  2. Yes, Fen Tigers not in. No mention of Mildenhall in BSP story trailing fixtures coming out at 9am. Thought this might well be the case.
  3. Trouble is that Trophy teams are by and large 2nd strings at most clubs - Leicester the thirds. Clubs will not want to slot in fixtures on rain off days. That would be silly. Also many riders also compete in NDL. Available dates maybe few and far between. It is all rather late with season starting in 6 weeks. We shall have to wait and see.
  4. Everyone assuming Mildenhall are a shoe-in for trophy but I would keep champagne on ice for moment. It’s all a bit late, existing clubs have done budgets and may not want, or can fit in, two extra fixtures. I could well see BSP freezing them out for these and perhaps other reasons. Would be a shame as another track must be good for sport.
  5. Farewell Speedway Star. Been a fixture of my life for nigh on 60 years. Cost of living, withdrawal of fuel allowance, council tax going up. For me, too much Sgp and foreign in magazine. Writing about riders I never see (no TV) or care about. Too much grass and far too much about defunct clubs. Burford bores on, Burbidge burbles Add in Royal Fail delivering magazine on any day but Thursday and I will do without. Eastbourne gone forever, Iwade in Kent of all places and ….
  6. Do I read it correctly from this season club press officers will need an SCB licence? I know photographers needed official permission in past but now it seems as if the wordsmiths will need a permit too. Hopefully, this will rein in some of the worst excesses sometimes seen in the past.
  7. Freddie Lindgren might like an early outing. Hope so as he is fast round the AFA.
  8. Pleased Tom Brennan is up for it. Riss also named. Shows riders do appreciate what BEN does. Looking like a competitive field coming together.
  9. Thanks for the update. Race night and timings are sensible. Since my original post I have been told draft fixtures show Young Stars at Kent Eagles in mid August. Looking forward to hearing the podcast.
  10. Any news of which night the Young Stars will race on.
  11. Shambles because it was announced Poole were in. Now they pull out. Don’t care who is right or wrong or who said what and when. The fact is this is a huge stinking pile of cow muck. Not surprised it’s gone like this.
  12. First speedway shambles of 2025 with season still weeks away.
  13. When Eastbourne rode at Arlington fans came from all over south east with many having a journey of 60 mins plus. There’s no walk-up crowd as there is at Oxford or Poole for example. Arlington is down a narrow country lane off the A22 in the Sussex countryside as Mr Millard was apt to say on Sky
  14. True but home meetings have always been so important in terms of results and overall perception by supporters. In a way, it becomes an issue for those four teams if visitors are weakened by Polish actions. The visitors will be less of a draw at the turnstiles
  15. Really pleased with the way Lynn have gone about their business for 2025 season. Feels the club is more on front foot. Hoping for good season and one that is injury free (for all). Team chosen and switch to Monday race night should eliminate all that Polish nonsense suffered in campaign just gone. Live too far away to buy season ticket but its good value.
