  1. If i were the Monarchs' management i'd definitely take Borke over Lasse. I wouldn't have to think about it twice.
  2. I'm not sure Wolbert would come back to Armadale but Riss would be a good number 3 in that line-up if he is 100% fit next year. *I'd give Clegg a wide berth though after last season, especially if his average is over 4 points
  3. Certain councils in Britain are not interested in saving what they see as British 'legacy culture' which is why every sport except football is being allowed to die (rugby League, speedway etc). The cultural landscape is being reshapeed purposefully to better suit the newer cultures who have no real interest in the old ones. I know what i am saying may be controversial but go take a glance around your local speedway stadium next time you're there and look at the demographics of the spectators and you will see what i am alluding to, especially if you also understand the demographics of Poland and then factor in their country's relationship to speedway and how well it is doing there. In many cities there are no new generations who are being brought up like we were or even being raised in the same cultural environment. I've been saying this for the past few years and everybody looks at me like i've fallen from Mars but speedway won't exist in Britain within the next 30 years when the indigenous cultures are all but gone no matter how much it bids to appeal to the newer ones. Enjoy British speedway whilst it lasts as it certainly won't be around forever.
  4. I watched all last seasons' Plymouth rewind meetings on Youtube and they were very enjoyable. Thanks for posting them up.
  5. I know that but neither Danyon or Borke come close to being regular winning scorers from the 3 and 4 positions.
  6. I can see Harris, Danyon, Lee and Ace starting for the Tigers in 2024 but i don't think Pickering is interested in the Championship anymore. Also i can't see a third heat leader in your septet.
  7. "Brown says that the new team will be revealed midway through next month following the British Speedway AGM as the management continue to finalise new riders." No messing around by the sounds of it. Good to hear.
  8. I wasn't expecting Basso, Tarasenko and Brennan back but i'm surprised that Claus won't be around in 2024
  9. That would be a very strong top 3 and 12.06 for a no. 2 and two reserves should be adequate for next season. I feel Redcar are on the cusp of something and maybe next season will be a winning one.
  10. Brennan has intimated that he won't be racing in the Championship next season
  11. Connor Coles looked more than adequate at reserve this season so he definitely deserves another year at Berwick. However, apart from him and Leon I don't think it would be productive bringing back any of the 2023 team next year.
  12. Personally I would've put Lee in for that last one, Ace was almost lapped.
  13. This is what I don't understand. Most Tigers fans consider this exciting racing but it's like watching F1. It's often like this and crowds have dwindled but because Glasgow are winning meetings week in and week out it's "exciting". The Sheffield-Ipswich clash last week had a lot of exciting races and overtaking despite the terrible weather and it was considered "boring". Go figure.
  14. You're telling me! I'll be amazed if this meeting ends before Wednesday's 2nd leg.
  15. I cannot describe this as an exciting meeting. 5 heats staged in 50 minutes and the racing has been processional.
  16. Weakest exclusion I've ever seen. Ace can slide off all on his own he doesn't need any pressure put on him to do so
  17. To whoever thought it would be a good idea to hand out those ear piercing air horns to all the kids: I hate you.
  18. I'm looking forward to tonight but i'll be sad to see the racing at Ashfield draw to a close at the end of the proceedings. It's certainly been a very disjointed season this year so hopefully next year will be a lot better in that respect. Here's to a good result tonight (and Wednesday night) and roll on next season!
  19. Isn't the BSN Cup sponsored though (as well as televised) which means actual real money coming into the sport so why would anyone want to scrap that?
