  1. Are you serious?? They're birds of a feather. Name me one thing Sturgeon and her hubby did differently from the clowns down south (apart from locking Scotland down even harder than England - with no discernible results - and smashing the economy even more). And 'posh boys'? Lol. You think the likes of Nicola Sturgeon and Patrick Harvey were born in the ghetto? Don't be fooled by the "my mother was a seamstress" rhetoric from the likes of Labour and the SNP. They genuinely hate the working class.
  2. Poole looked the strongest last season 'on paper' and they walked away with two trophys at season's end. Just saying.
  3. Why are so few people talking Redcar up for the title? The team looks really good.
  4. Isn't gating about reaction time though? I remember a computer simulation designed for the emergency services that improved reaction time and it involved hazards which required immediate breaking. Obviously speedway rides don't need breaking skills (evasion skills perhaps) but a computer simulation which demands quick starting reactions for cars/bikes must exist somewhere. Plus, there must be some sort of way of knowing almost precisely the approximate time from when the starting marshall leaves the tapes to when the tapes go up. I'm no expert though so perhaps I'm way off the mark.
  5. I don't think anywhere has more restrictions than Scotland. Sturgeon is round the bend (I'm no fan of Boris or Drippy D for that matter) and i'm fully expecting this latest three week masterplan of hers to turn into another 6 month cock-up same as last year and nobody in Scotland will be able to get into the stadiums until the season is half over.
  6. Great signing by Newcastle. The other day i was wondering what Lee Complin was doing these days and now he has signed for the Diamonds. He was a natural on a bike so i'm sure that it won't take too long to get back up to speed (literally).
  7. The BSPA website is rubbish, it'll probably announce all the riders in July.
  8. Summers has retired, Shanes and Morris have already signed with Birmingham and I think Ty Proctor won't be returning to British speedway next season. I still believe Bates, Castagna and Sedgmen have a lot to offer a team though and would be worth the risk in the middle order of a team.
  9. The riders in front of him during those races would probably disagree.
  10. Losing 75-0 every meeting is a bold strategy and the Monarchs would probably miss out on the play-offs but it would save the owners tens of thousands of pounds over the course of the season.
  11. It would be better to start afresh with a new name and I suggest something befitting the area, something along the lines of the 'Workington Wastelanders' or the 'Workington We'd Rather Live Elsewhere'ers'. Seriously though, how about the Workington Warriors or the Workington Wizards? Both would be good imo.
  12. I agree. Scunthorpe don't look great on paper but you never know, they might be good on shale... Redcar and Leicester look interesting at this stage but I'm sure Poole will be favourites again.
  13. I heard it was Susan Boyle and she's planning to raze the stadium to the ground and erect a 90ft statue of herself. Just a rumour at this stage though.
  14. I read somewhere that Berwick are still at war with Russia. Is this true and if so what does it mean for the group?
  15. He wasn't the same after being put into the second bend fence by Jorgensen when Scunny came to Glasgow. After that i don't think he won a race (in 10 meetings) Confidence is a funny thing.
  16. Does anyone know where Sam Jensen is headed next season? Is he staying in Britain?
  17. At 19-years-old it's hardly a "make or break season for him". Look at John Louis, Craig Cook and a whole host of others who entered the sport late. At least wait until he's 23 or so before writing him off as a lower or middle order rider.
  18. In a good season he's a 5.50 - 7.00 rider. Makes sense if he's up for it.
  19. Anyone know what averages foreign riders would come in at uf they were available? Eg. are polish riders given a higher average than Danish ones and what would be the averages of young riders such as Mads Hansen and Norik Blodorn. Marcin Novak came in on a 5 point average last season and Benjamin Basso was also given a five so is it the case for all foreign riders even a Laguta?
