I never pay for anything online so this would definitely dissuade me from going to a speedway meeting. It's just laziness on the part of speedway clubs, it's like when you're in Tesco and you discover that only one checkout is cash only. they do it so they don't have to spend time at the end of a shift counting up the coins and putting them into bags. -

Very true. The last time i was in Paisley Paolo Nutini came out of a side street and kicked me in the shin and ran away laughing whilst shouting "i'm a ruddy superstar, who's going to believe you, you peasant!" He looked a bit like Paolo but it was dark and i'd had a few jars so i can't be 100% sure of what i saw or what i heard but i'm 98.77% sure that it was him.

Would every Brighton rider have to race in Speedos? -
49 days to go! It's been far too long. Anyways, does anyone know how far along the planned 3rd bend terracing/stand thing came during the winter months? I've always thought that the best place to watch the action is from the 3rd bend but there's only a hospitality suite there at the moment so i'm looking forward for the chance to see a type of structure similar to the one on the fourth bend finally being built. Anyone know if it's been built or is still going ahead?

SGB Championship 2023 Confirmed Signings

As the person who started this thread i can confirm that the mods have shown absolutely no interest in pinning it despite me messaging them all a couple of times. Maybe they just don't like me -
Clyde should have thrown in their lot with Queen's Park and bought Third Lanark's old ground at Cathkin Park from the council and done it up. Could've built a Firhill-sized stadium in that area. The Gallowgate will cost them a fortune and it's too close to Celtic Park.

'Newport Dole Queuers', 'Wimbledon Volleys' and 'Arena-Essex We Cannot Afford The Rent In London-ers'. Interestingly there used to be a team in Aldershot during the 1950s who were called the 'Shots'. Not the most original :) -

The Yarmouth Yeti Spotters -
I knew about it at least a week before i think. There was nothing on at Armadale that day either if my memory serves me right.

I'm glad that the U21 final is heading to Glasgow this year but i hope it will be better attended than last years' British Youth Championships at Ashfield which had a really poor crowd even though the fixed price was £10. It was a very enjoyable afternoon and the promotion were not at fault as they put on a really good event as they always do.

Just doing my best to keep this thread on this page because the moderators seem unwilling to do so. Nothing to see here. -
Most councils in Britain are corrupt but going on an anti-Tory rant is a bit rich when you consider that a lot of the worst ones for accepting bungs or doing favours for their mates are Labour-controlled (especially in the North) *for the record i don't vote and i hate all mainstream parties equally

For the past ten years i've been a vegetarian and i always got chips & cheese at Ashfield and Armadale but before Christmas i went fully vegan so i'm taking grated vegan cheese with me to sprinkle on my chips this season. The staff at both tracks are really nice too.
