  1. I wish he'd had a gutsy round the board's performance against Poole
  2. I'm old school and would rather see silverware as most Tigers fans would. Ashfield lends itself to exciting racing no matter who is in the team. Are you suggesting that the current 7 riders are more entertaining than any other riders in the league*? There have been lots of exciting Championship teams that have won trophies over the years and lots of less-than-exciting ones which lifted silverware. To say you'd rather have one of the more exciting ones that didn't win any trophies than a less-than-exciting one that does is simply silly. Besides, i didn't see any evidence of an exciting side in Poole the other night... *Apart from Basso obviously
  3. Lee and Marcin may as well have not bothered to travel down to Poole. I still believe that the 9 points they took up on the starting averages this season would have been better spent on someone like that Danish lad Edinburgh found along with a better 5 pointer from abroad (Rew perhaps if his commitments allowed?)
  4. If you take a look at a globe of the world from a distance of about 25 metres away and squint a bit Glasgow and Poole are right next to each other so this technically is a local rivalry and i'm looking forward to seeing both of the Glaspoole encounters
  5. Meeting off MEETING OFF - Glasgow Tigers Speedway
  6. Sadly i think you're right. The weather forecast looks dreadful for tomorrow.
  7. Federal Emergency Management Agency. It's an American military agency dedicated to disaster response and recovery. Sauchiehall Street is already beyond help though.
  8. If i lived in Poole i wouldn't travel to Glasgow when there's a 95% chance it will be called off due to rain as it often is. It's not even as if they would be able to do any shopping in Glasgow if it is called off as Sauchiehall Street looks like a Fema camp these days.
  9. Why are you using a tier system? Are you Nicola Sturgeon in disguise?
  10. Here's my original comment: "He's a good young rider but a bit overrated in my opinion. Still one of the better 2 point riders in the league though and he's got a whole lot of time on his side." So no, i do actually rate him, you've just chosen to interpret my words your own way. I just believe that too much is being made of this kid and i'm sure he will go on to have a good career but i can't ever see him being a top rider. The way everyone reacted to my opinion told me that they do rate him much more highly than i do.
  11. By everyone in this thread it seems.
  12. He is overrated. What part of my statement did you not understand? There have been many 16-year-olds who have been destined for bigger things who never made it big. What makes you think he will become a leading rider?
  13. If Sedgy had held on to that last bend lead in Heat 13 the score going into the final heat would have been 42-42. Tigers should have done much, much better.
  14. He's a good young rider but a bit overrated in my opinion. Still one of the better 2 point riders in the league though and he's got a whole lot of time on his side.
  15. Good decision by the Brummies imo. Wrighty was struggling with injury and Pearson wasn't doing great. The Sam Hagon switch is almost like-for-like and Batch is the third heat leader that Birmingham needed to stop the rot. Just my opinion though.
  16. I agree. Of all the 2 point riders in this league young Sam is one of the better ones.
  17. Believe it or not there's monsoon conditions in Glasgow atm. If the track has already been watered then there's a real danger of this meeting being called off depending on which direction this large black cloud is heading next.
  18. From the bspa site. The figure is from his first two championship meetings. I wasn't saying that's what he's normally but so far that's his official total. Normally it's around 7 but he's not started well (at championship level)
  19. Obviously they aren't the official ones until a requisite number of meetings have been raced but they are how they (unofficially) stand as of today. You're right though, it doesn't look very good.
