I think it's all subject to change though as I'm sure they just pencil in these playoff meetings on the assumption that the Cheetahs and the Pirates will end up in a different group from each other. If Poole finish first I'm 100% sure that they will pick Scunthorpe and Edinburgh (providing Edinburgh beat out the Brummies) leaving Oxford/Glasgow/Redcar in the other group. That would be the logical choice from a tactical point of view.

How does the situation in the pits work during a double header? Will the three Plymouth riders who aren't going to be racing for the Brummies have to leave very promptly and if so how long will the four incoming riders get to unpack their bikes and set up if there's to be no real break in proceedings?

I actually called a win for the Monarchs although i didn't predict that it would be won in such dramatic fashion. If Worrall comes in for Cook in the play-offs, Lasse comes back in time to replace Clegg and Killeen stays in the team instead of Dayle then this will be a strong team and certainly no push-overs.

Thanks Skidder! I've been checking the Monarchs website but it's not saying anything atm which I'm a bit surprised about as it's normally well updated and not anywhere near as crap as the Glasgow website which is usually about as useful as a chocolate fireguard. Did it say if it's still part of a doubleheader with the Brummies or is it a stand-alone meeting?

Tony Rickardsson wasn't particularly small or light but I get what you are saying. He's a natural speedway rider but being small/light is no use without experience, confidence and maturity. If he acquires all four he will be a very good rider in a few years time

25.08.2023 Scunny v Glasgow League
Nickinho replied to ScunnyDan's topic in SGB Championship League Speedway
What was his excuse tonight..? Lee is a nice chap and when he was younger he had real natural ability and could have got to the next level but his 'badge kissing' when he wins Heat 2 has you all deluded as to his ability now. He's still a good rider at reserve around Ashfield but the title is won over TWO legs, home and AWAY and the Tigers' reserves are a liability away from home against other Championship reserves. Glasgow has lost to TWO teams over two legs already in two tournaments this season and it's only the signing of Tarasenko that offers any hope that the Tigers will get a third chance to pick up silverware this season. -
Don't worry Tigers fans, even with the strongest team in the Championship after the Tarasenko signing, Cammy will still find a way to lose the Final

Should be an easy victory for the Monarchs with Dayle Wood getting an 18 point maximum -
