  1. Having see the Basso crash on YouTube he gets a really good start and does very well for three laps then Vaculik goes past him like Ben has suddenly switched to riding a lawnmower and i don't think Lebedevs was expecting Ben to be hugging that inside line so slowly. Still, Basso's very lucky to have walked away from that because it looked very similar to the terrible Gundersen crash from many moons ago. 2. There's no debate. Lee Dicken is the greatest Tiger of all time.
  3. It didn't start off that way. I thought their team building was good - Howarth, Richie, Barker, Gilkes and Starke were a decent 1-5 but i believe they brought in Ben Trigger far too soon and Jake Turner turned out to be a dreadful acquisition. Starke was not committed to the cause, injuries hit Barker and Dan and too much was placed upon Kyle's shoulders. Just really tough luck at the end of the day but i thought Pearson was a good late signing for the Gladiators going into next season.
  4. Rub a bit of dirt on it and he can probably walk that off. Seriously though, when did he do it?
  5. Sounds like he couldn't resist having a go on one of those abandoned trampolines they have in every front garden in Possil.
  6. It's strange that Porton Down is based in Salisbury where the person you are probably alluding to was 'poisoned' and that Porton Down is the site of the Ministry of Defence's Science & Technology Laboratory which according to Wikipedia is "one of the UK's most secretive and controversial military research facilities". It's also strange that the two people who supposedly poisoned him with nerve agent were immune to the nerve agent themselves. Call me a conspiracy theorist but that story never sat right with me. The likelihood is that he poisoned himself after trying to steal it to sell it on and that would have been a wee bit embarrassing for the UK government to admit to so they concocted the story about Russia to divert attention away from the research facility and a possible breach in its security by a former Russian DOUBLE AGENT who could definitely be fully trusted... Anyway, whatever the circumstances and however it went down i'm convinced that Vadim Tarasenko was not involved.
  7. I don't think tonight's result is solely a reserve problem I believe this is a Cami Brown problem and has been for a while now. I'm expecting the usual platitudes such as "Brown vows Tigers will improve", "Brown acknowledges frustrating night" and my personal favourite "Brown admits he doesn't know what he's doing away from Ashfield"
  8. War is never one sided. And the only Ukrainians I have ever met have all been drunken louts so I can't really take a side. Besides, Mr Tarasenko seems a genuinely nice guy both on and off the track so I'm very happy that he's racing for the Tigers. Btw, did you also call for all British and American riders to be banned from racing in speedway during the illegal invasion of Iraq? Thought not...
  9. Howarth looks the best pick if he's back to full health
  10. Are the two Tuesday Ashfield fixtures and the two Friday Armadale fixtures a deliberate thing so that fans in Scotland can see all the home meetings of the two clubs up here? If it was i like it because i can see all four meetings now but others may not like Tuesday night racing at Ashfield and i can understand that.
  11. I thought Diamond Dolls was closed on a Tuesday?
  12. These have got to be some of the most ridiculous comments i've heard on this forum recently and for your post to get so many likes suggests to me that most on here don't know what a crisis British speedway is facing right now. Have you any idea of how many eligible riders there are in the Championship and if many more get suspended there will not be anywhere near enough to go round? YOUR place of work can hire any monkey to do your job as there are 127,000 unemployed people in Scotland to replace you with but there are a VERY LIMITED number of riders who can make up the teams in the Championship (especially heat leaders). And yes IT IS your companies fault for idiots breaking the rules, they hired them and that's why they have enquiries and also hold train companies liable if a driver turns up drunk and ends up steering a train into a ditch killing all onboard. I noticed you didn't say anything about the number of clubs on the verge of going to the wall or not having anywhere to ride next season (Peterborough/Edinburgh/Poole etc). Is this not a sign of "how the sport is performing" or is this a positive thing in your mind?
  13. Speedway IS on its arse. Several clubs are on the brink of extinction, 3 riders have failed drink/drugs tests in the past few months, more have "withheld their services" and the sport is still (for the most part) badly run in poor stadia unfit for the modern age, attendances number a few hundred hardy souls at most clubs and the streaming you mentioned barely has any significance outside of people who already follow and support speedway. But one exciting meeting changes all that? I want to take a shot of whatever you've taken!
  14. A convincing 12 point win but if it had been the first leg of the final I wouldn't have been massively confident about the Tigers' chances going down to Oxford with that kind of lead.
  15. Masters was brilliant in that one, his slingshot under Brennan on bend 4 was incredible. 32-28 after 10 heats
  16. Sensing a Tigers win in the making. 30-24 after Heat 9 Masters coming in as a TS for Heeps who is now out of the meeting.
  17. 23-19 after Heat 7 after a delay for any Poole fans interested. Tarasenko looks a class act.
  18. This is ridiculous. They could have called an ambulance by now, in fact they could have carried him to the GRI in this time. I've grown a beard whilst waiting here.
  19. Might be something to do with the fact that the average age of the fans in the main stand is 157
  20. I think it's all subject to change though as I'm sure they just pencil in these playoff meetings on the assumption that the Cheetahs and the Pirates will end up in a different group from each other. If Poole finish first I'm 100% sure that they will pick Scunthorpe and Edinburgh (providing Edinburgh beat out the Brummies) leaving Oxford/Glasgow/Redcar in the other group. That would be the logical choice from a tactical point of view.
  21. I agree. Only Cami Brown can screw up this really good title opportunity now.
